When I was a freshman in high school, I was at the lowest of the low in terms of my depression. Around the time I started therapy, I found this video out of nowhere. I remember sobbing tears of joy because finally, I found something that really spoke to me, a song/video that told me that I was capable of ANYTHING. It moved me so much, that I fell down the rabbit hole that is Thirty Seconds To Mars and soon enough, they became the center point of my recovery. Soon enough, I was happy, and for once I was excited with life. Jared, Shannon, and Tomo inspired me to follow my dreams and I haven’t stopped. Thank god I decided to watch this music video, I have no idea where I’d be if I didn’t.

I have only seen Jared in movies. The first time I listened to his music was on April 15, 2021 and am impressed by his multitude of talents. Watching this video makes want to visit Los Angeles all the more.

Today in class (I'm a broadcasting and filmmaking student) we were asked to think of our favourite music videos. The best music videos. This is my choice. This is the only music video that has ever made me cry. It is fantastic. And, as a filmmaker, I can honestly say it's a work of art as a short film. I can never say enough good things about this. So perfectly edited, such a beautiful narrative... Fantastic.

This song has got me through so many hard times. Im studying as a musical theatre performer and you dont understand quite how hard it is until youre there. Your friends telling you it's the drop out subject. Even your teachers and lecturers saying youre not good enough and that theyd never put their children through this industry. Yet it's all I want to do. Im not the best dancer, but i can sing. And I can touch hearts. I've watched 300 people go silent as soon as I opened my mouth to sing and thats the reason i push on. Through the failed auditions. The injuries. The competition to get that one role. I may not be the best yet... but one day i will be.

From what I read it's actually very sad, he suffocated to death in a clothing bin while trying to find something warm for his Homeless, Disabled Girlfriend. Don't mean to be "that guy" but when you judge people in such a way you dehumanise them, whether he was a crack head, or whatever, his death is no less tragic.

I just found out the Superman in this video died in 2019, homeless, in a clothing donation bin he had climbed into to find something to wear. Knowing this adds another layer of emotion watching this video. RIP Christopher Dennis

I was at the bottom of my life when it was released: debt, not in love, not happy with where I was living... a lot of dark thoughts. I saw this video and I was like, "Yeah, mate, you know what, you can do something; it's not the end yet." I did not go west; I literally used my last breath, my last dollars, set my ego aside, and went down under.
Eleven years later, I'm still living there. My life has improved in many aspects, not all of them of course. I am definitely happier, but I still have some demons, still sometimes feel like a copycat, but that’s what made me able to fight and stay there, get citizenship.
As mentioned in the video, nobody is perfect... however from the moment you accept that, I think you are stronger than many others.

I cant put into words how much I love acting and being in front of people. mostly I just break down into excited tears. but this video embodies the excitement and fear of trying to make it in such a pretentious world. it covers the gratitude of finding what you want, or losing everything you ever had for something you thought you could do. this is what people need to see. this is how you take your life and flip it on its ass. make it yours and make it worth something to you. this video makes me so happy I cannot contain myself. this is truly amazing.

This video has had an extreme impact on my thought process of how I should live my live. So many of us release our dreams to try to make a living, never to pursue them with the desire that the people in this video express that they did. I have followed Jared for YEARS! The musical influence that Thirty Seconds to Mars had had on me throughout my life is simply explainable as such, totally enlightening! This band can stir a stadium of 100K like no other I have seen before. The influence that The Kill, Kings and Queens, This is War and From Yesterday had on so many peoples lives is incredible! Jared’s ability to create these music videos is amazing and I can only hope that it lights the fire of desire in the hearts of the people that watch to ALWAYS pursue their dreams, no matter what. The pursuit of dreams fuels this world, fuels the passion in people that create enlightenment and ingenuity that builds our world. Keep doing what your doing brother, always!

To be honest this is the only time I've ever seen Kanye come across as a human being, he needs to do that more often. Kudos to all the wonderful human beings involved...you've all been discovered.
I remember the first few minutes in 2012 when this video just came out and I was sitting on my old computer at family home being so young and this video influenced me so much.
