    Just a tip, the metal wheel you have can cut or break the mice feet so I recommend a plastic one or a silent spinner

      @bank Domesticated mice and rats still carry and spread diseases (fancy mice and fancy rats). Someone tried to sue Petco after getting bit by a pet and contracting RBF. Domesticated or not, they can still spread diseases that can be lethal to humans, not to mention hanta virus from their fecal matter (mice shit A LOT).

      XxPanda BearxX Firstly I would point out that we posses no real threat towards the planet (mentioning the universe is just silly). Anything we throw towards the planet is nothing in comparison to what the planet can throw towards us. If Yellowstone erupted it would be a greater catastrophe towards all species on this earth than what we could ever accomplice.
      And yes, humans do bad things, but that's the price we pay. It's like alcohol. Sure there are abusive drunks, but that is a necessary evil compared to the rest of us who just drink beer and play darts and laugh and tell stories. Genocide, torture and hatred is the price we pay for lovers meeting on bridges, for science and laughing and music and friendship. Why do you think that we'll suddenly become victims of our worst qualities when we haven't done so for the past 250,000 years? The hate of men will pass and dictators will die, and all along we'll continue to be kind and happy and clever. You claiming that nothing ever gets fixed is like someone claiming the same during the dark ages. The fact that the world won't be perfect within your lifetime doesn't mean that we're doomed for all eternity.

      I always wonder... if you end up with the experience of having a pregnant mouse give birth, and you're not a professional breeder - what in the world do you do to ensure they don't just keep having new litters together over and over until it's unmanagable? Do you actually determine the sex of all of them and separate them, or do you just get rid of all of them?

    • @heyitsmae3109
      @heyitsmae3109 Рік тому

      @@mchevre Back when I had the mice, my male mouse escaped during the night and managed to crawl into his mother’s cage. When they got to age I separated them, the females all in one tank and the males in their separate own tank. Some of the males were gifted off to close family and the females stayed with me to ensure that the same thing wouldn’t happen to them. It wasn’t very hard to determine the sex of the little guys. They all lived out their lives and passed away many years ago. It was cute watching them grow but never again would I have let that happen again, I made sure to secure their tanks even more after that so it wouldn’t occur. It was a lot of work cleaning up after so many mice!

      shafik sheikh evolution, you had babys A and babys B. The group of A had two different extenral things, the brown hair and one blond(ish) i believe that one died. In this case it had no reazon but in nature this will say brown hair is more practical so the once who have that traid will live on and get more babies.
      Babys B had 3differen things, brown dots(a), blond dots(b), and some had fast growing (3)tails other had slow growing tail (4)
      Now you can combine those to a a3, a4, b3, b4. Nature will select the best surviver in there suroundings. In this case the breader will choose. Is people really like the a4 babys he will not make the b3 babys bread because that wouldnt help his cost.
      You get it probably and i realized i have been an annoying peice of shit now xD

She was housed with 3 other males (only 2 of which were sexually active) Apparently a litter is generally 5-7 babies (she was huge according to google, my first time having her pregnant) she had 11-13 babies, still too early to separate them. So at least 11. It seems multiple rarities occurred in the same time as well as her first.

    OMG THEY ARE SO CUTE! I acctually have a mouse that is pregnant too, she is due any day now. Do you have any tips on taking care of baby mice? and a mother in general? this is the first time i have mouse babies :)

    • @HerbertErpaderp
      @HerbertErpaderp  9 років тому +3

      +Crystal Clear You don't really have to do much of anything, as the mother should take care of the babies herself, make sure she's got plenty of food and water and nesting materials. Be aware that she may eat them, or abandon some of them. It's probably best not to disturb her too much for the first couple of days, particularly if she's not fond of being handled. quietly and carefully observe though, because it's awesome and cute. I've heard of mother mice rejecting their babies if they've been handled, but I've not had that issue myself. I have found that handling the babies fairly frequently, though not excessively, when they are young makes them more calm when they grow up.

    My mouse's first litter is about one and a half months old, ready to be sold. Her new litter is 4 days old and about to get fur. They grew so much quicker than the first litter, probably because she's a very healthy mom, healthier than she's ever been. Getting fed oxbow pellets mixed with my own seed mix. Decent sized cage with a wheel and toys. Living the good life. My feeders are super healthy. The first babies are sadly almost ready to be fed to my snake.

    my dog got into a nest of 6 baby mice and I tried my best to save them, put them in a box with grass and a warm water bottle, as it was chilly that night. The next morning all but one were dead and the one that was breathing was barley hanging on.

    That is so beautiful. There are a lot of people in this world that see these little mice as food for snakes or whatever, these lovely little animals though deserve love just like any other animal. I have recently had 3 mice 2 male 1 female, the shop keeper was going to feed the babies from the female to the snakes, I saved them and now am going to split them up in separate homes so they can live their short lives having fun just like any other pet. Nature is nature but sometimes, most of the time it pays to have heart too.

    Beautiful Mice C: But, just as a suggestion, the wheel could seriously hurt the little babies and any mice, I saw several going upside down and their tails might get caught, you can easily put duct tape on the wheel so none of that happens (:

    Hi I just rescued two baby mice they are about 12-14 days old. I don't know what to do . My grandmother killed their mother and the rest of the litter. These two hid and she did not find them. I went to look for them when she wasn't around and found two. I don't have a fine too syringe and I don't have a vet in my area. I can't leave them hoping that the mother will come cause my grandmother hit her and killed her. These two got hit too but ran. They can barely run but they made it away and now they are safe with me. I know if my grandmother knows that I have them she will kill them and they are squeaking and I don't know how to shut them up. I'm only 14 and don't know what to do please help.
