A real 88' classic if ever there was one. Absolutely massive back in 88' when the term 'Acid House' was not even known, heard of or common place...Real underground sound where this beauty when played was converting the die hard rare groovers, soul heads and reggae boys. Completely fresh and unheard sound like nothing before. And as for the clubs, well this ones a real strobe steppa to fall in love with when that 303 groove takes you to another place.. Nut House, Croland Rd, Echoes Nitespot in Bow, Dungeons etc all spun this into the early hours of the morning where punters didn't want to leave just to get a rewind.... BIG TUNE!!
This track still sound as good as it did in 88 where as you say the eclectic music scene had different crowds of clubbers. Some of the more older or experienced people i remember weren't totally convinced that some of the newer sounds would stay , when you think you could be listening to Stetasonic's all that jazz along side tunes like this we were well schooled. Though we said goodbye to the term Acid House in '90 those irreplaceable memories live forever.

@@peterbateman3203 Hey Peter, thank you so much for your kind words.. Its people like you and everyone else from our time really felt that love on and off the dance floor way back then. Looking back, we had the best generation. Great music, great people, great attitudes, great venues, its as if it was all meant to happen. We were very lucky but didn't realise it. Stay safe 👍
You so know this.....What this did to dancefloors was unreal......so much love and people going for it....giving it everything you had willingly and with heart melted into all party people sharing the moment..........so good ...☺❤😎💙
This track has everything : acid riff, wobbly bass , freaky effects , pitch bend synth solo , breathy vocals , spoken word sexy bit , dreamy breakdown, whistles , cowbells I’m instantly transported to a land of ponchos, smoke machines and strobes etc etc
The main reason they stopped these amazing parties is because they didn't want different people to come together black white all nationalities coming together..since you haven't seen such a thing again ..what great days they were
I was skankin back then too,got to watch the rastas and terrace lads on their trip but it was seriously hot for a while nothing compared for me I just can't snap out of such an amazing scene
This is still a fresh track… would easily fill the dance floor. Feel so blessed to have been out dancing with this one blasting out on a proper sound system ❤

I didn't start proper clubbing till 93' so missed a lot of the early stuff. Made up for it a couple of nights ago though at a 'back to 89' do in Coulsdon. Heard this for the first time, plus loads of classics from that time, so good to hear on a big sound system. 47 year old body aching a bit from dancing but loved every minute of it. Good to know there are more gems like this I have yet to discover.
I can imagine it being one of the tunes you remember from a good back to'89 night. I've been lucky enough to hear it on a big rig and it can be a showstopper. Long after the aches have gone you'll still have the memories.
My new fave UA-cam channel, absolutely banging. I didn’t start raving til I saw prodigy at island in Ilford in 95, so I missed all this. Love seeing all the memories these tracks bring back, I can’t remember what I did last week, but I know where I was when I heard that track for the first time, 30 years ago 😂

@tambian9130 "back in 88' when the term 'Acid House' was not even known, heard of or common place". In '88 the term "Acid House" was overpopularised to the extent, that UK national newspapers ran headlines with it.....
Problem here is that we are citing the very same 'media' 'corporations' (BBC) that ostracised and vilified the same culture they now celebrate as 'our own' explicitly through the reproduction of music and video , of course to their own advantage .
