- The best things to do in Dunedin, New Zealand! (Part 1)
😃 SUBSCRIBE! 🔥 & Scroll down 👇
Dunedin is, in my opinion one of the most underrated destinations on New Zealand's South Island. And there are so many awesome things to do there! On its doorstep is the rugged Otago Peninsula, with endless possibilities for adventures including wildlife spotting, hiking, biking, and surfing. In this episode we check out Signal Hill, the famous Dunedin Railway Station, the Dunedin Farmers Market, go on a wildlife cruise with Monarch Wildlife Cruises where we saw Albatross, Fur Seals, and a bunch of other birds, and check out the Pyramids and Victory Beach.
Stay tuned for the next episode!!

Hey Team! Hope you guys enjoy the first episode of this Dunedin series! There will be 1 or 2 more episode to come, showing off the amazing Dunedin area =) As always, please give me some feedback and let me know what you think!! Cheers! 😃🤙
Love the edits! This just makes me want to visit New Zealand even more
Thanks Demi!! Hey guess what, ill be in your neck of the woods (kind of) at the end of this year! Ill be living in Germany for 3 months =)
Ryan your edits are bloody amazing! Totally loved this one. The meet ups look so good. Makes us want to be in NZ so we could join in on these. Really must get to Dunedin one day as sadly I've not been. When my father moved to NZ from England at age 5 his family settled in Dunedin for about 6 years. I'd love to visit with him to hear his stories. Thanks for another brilliant video. Thomas
Hey brother! Thank you. That is so cool! It is a pretty neat little city, lots to see and do right on its doorstep. Cheers man 😁
Another great video about New Zealand. Can't wait to visit this amazing country. Absolutely love train station from inside out and looks like Dunedin would be an amazing town to explore.
Thanks for watching mate! It is such a cool town, with old school Scottish vibes. Definitely worth spending a day or two if you come to NZ 😀
Love your shots of the Train Station! The farmers market looks fun :) Lucky you to have the cruise to yourself! Great Video!!
Thank you Alexandra!! 🙂
Awesome to see Dunedin AND the Peninsula. I got terribly seasick on the boat a few years ago. Glad to hear/see that you survived the tour...
We lucked out and had a super calm day!! Thanks goodness haha =)
That's so awesome that you got to see all these places and hang out with cool people. I love instameet since you can meet many photographers and make new friends. New Zealand looks beautiful through your video. Love the drone shots as well as capturing the dolphins.
That is seriously why I love them so much! I get to connect with other passionate people and learn from them! And those were actually seals, not dolphins! Crazy hey??
The food blogger in me is loving the farmer's market. Yeah apple pie moonshine is crazy. The wildlife cruise is so great too. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it =)
Love your videos! They are always so nice! Great views, great editing :)
That station building looks amazing. And the wildlife cruise looks like wonderful activity.
Thanks so much!!
Absolutely loved your grade on all the footage! The slow-mo shots were really cool as well. Dunedin looks awesome for Instagram, very jealous!
Thanks guys!!
It's great to see a side of dunners that I've never experienced. I know it for raging student parties.
I've been really enjoying your videos lately.
Haha no kidding! Most people think its just a fun place to get OTP! Thanks a lot Laura =) Hows life without Sky!?
The Path Less Traveled [Ryan Wilkes] it's so quite without her here. I no longer have my little helper. Hopefully I can go see her soon 😃
Let me know if your ever in Auckland!
Man you're killing it with those food shots, every one looks delicious... Great moment you captured with the bird running across water too!
Cheers, Dan!
Hey Ryan. As always another great video. The view from Signal Hill is amazing.
I'm assuming this was shot a few days ago when the Flames were still in the playoffs. Poor Ben.... Congrats on 1000 subs.
Thanks mate!! Haha it was actually after they had been eliminated already! So he was being a trooper. Thankfully, not many people here in NZ know much about the NHL so he didnt get too much hate 😋
Beautifully filmed, I like how you're extra on the details. It makes everything much for enjoyable to watch! Good job dude
Thank you Hannah 😄
Great video mate !! I loved the views and the shots of the dolphins and birds @6:50 !! Very well done - We defo have to visit NZ one day :)
Thanks man! Those were actually seals haha 😀
The Path Less Traveled [Ryan Wilkes] rly ? Hahaha oops 😬✌🏻
ah we missed Signal Hill but we did do the Monarch Cruise! The wildlife spotting on the Otage Peninsula is some of the best in NZ! Another great video - we love what you do :)
Its so good down there hey? The only place with better marine wildlife is Kaikoura! Thanks guys. You guys are putting out so much content lately I cant even keep up!!
The Path Less Traveled 365 Days, 365 Activities! We can barely keep up ourselves haha.
I love Dunedin, I was there years ago! I wish I had done a wildlife cruise, it looks so fabulous! I'm off to check out all the Instagrammers in this video. Thanks!
Hey!! Thanks a lot for watching. It is such a cool town! Are you from NZ, or were you just traveling??
Good stuff man love the vlogs!
Hey mate, thank you!! I appreciate your support 😁
I like your vlogging style . Shots you have taken are so stable and wonderful ..how are they so stable ? Dunedin looks amazing and honestly I haven't heard about it before .
Thank you!! Haha I have a steady hand and the stabilization in the Panasonic G85 is very very good 😀
Cool. I've gotta go to an Insta meet one of these days. i like the time lapse at 3:18. i like how you are putting cut scenes in while you talk.
Thank you Tony! Yeah I am just trying to make it as enjoyable to watch as possible! And although Im not THAT ugly, some B-roll is always good 😋
So very cool. When I make it there, we're doing this! Looking forward to the next vids!
Absolutely mate!! PS I made a bunch of nature frothing friends on this trip who know where to find all the geckos, so we are sussed for when you make it down!!
That's what I like to hear! Hopefully I'll make it there in the next year or so.
I had no idea how to pronounce Dunedin until you say it :P I'd have say it like Dune-dee...
The wild festival sounds amazing - it's great to promote sustainability and environmental protection. The cruise also looks lovely.
I know nothing about birds... so kudos to Ben!
Haha you're not the only one who had trouble with it!! And yeah, the festival is super cool! Thanks for watching 😁
Gorgeous views, dude. I'm sorry I haven't been around much, a lot of channels have been missing from my feed lately. Good to see your face!!
Thanks Colin! All good mate, I always appreciate your support. And ill always remember that you are an OG subscriber 🙃
Thanks dude, that means the world to me. I love this community. I've actually got a shout for you in my video tomorrow. Be on the lookout!! :)
Whaaat serious!? My mannn. Looking forward to it!
👌 for nature conservation!!! loving the hyperlapse footages. moonshining while nature tripping thats the way to do it.
Yes bro!! That moonshine was actually unreal haha
moonshine traumatized me hahha
yay!!, someone finnaly did dunedin!!
Haha! Love that city =)
It's always great when someone lets you stay at there place. That farmers market looks great. Plus I have a weird knife like that one around 4:01 and was wondering what it was for. Now I know it's some sort of cheese knife.
Its the best when you get to have a couch to sleep on in exchange for some wine and chocolate haha 😁
Glad you enjoyed our little City of Dunedin. My home for 35 years.
I always enjoy my times in Dunedin! Such a cool little city =)
Same but 12 years
Considering move from aus. Is it really really cold or do you have a few spots of heat
Summer is nice down there! But yeah winter south of Christchurch is pretty cold haha
Wonderful!
Thank you!!

+Kiwi Kelsey yeah we were really lucky! I hope you get to see one eventually because they are amazing =)
Goddamn those birds have done a number on those rocks!! :D 6:28
Haha right!? 😂
How do you find Instameets, i actually stumbled upon one in Mexico and ended up collabing with a photog for a video. Sign me up for some of that apple pie moonshine :)
The tourism boards down here in NZ have actually started putting them on and advertising them! Dude the moonshine was soooo good haha
nice video you are a gem
Cheers Steve!!
Makes me miss home (Dunedin)
Such an awesome spot!
SOnionS same here 😞
If you are lucky at the harbour you can see dolphins and whales
+Max Conroy I have heard that! That would be so amazing. I recently spent some time in Kaikoura and saw loads of both Dolphins and Whales! So that's definitely the best place to go for marine species on the south island
