Im lost frost was never dead. He's always been one of the strongest warframes because his armor strip. Even prior to the changes he was a literal God compared to most frames.

Sevagoth is so fun now, both augments synergize beautifully. The only downside is it's a different play style for me now. I dropped all my defense for strength and augments, I only have catalyzing shields. Constant casting gives a ton of shield regen with the aura so it's just avoiding the pesky green eximus boys at this point. Other than that, fantastic.
@@SolidNitrox Feels like a new Nekros to me. All of Nekros' augments are awesome and put together a perfectly tuned build for his abilities and you're not gonna have space for anything else, but he will work wonders
In the before times I was a Frost main. It's like meeting an old friend after some time has passed, and now they are in great shape, got a good job, and dropped all thier bad habits.
Another interesting thing about frosts snow globe is that if enemies hit a wall after being pushed back by it they will take percentage damage, so if you prime them with viral before you cast it you can do millions of damage with it and one shot them, its kinda inconsistent but pretty funny still
aka just subsume nourish for ability spam and random milions true oneshots with globe :D

It has nothing to do with priming. Its a hidden damage type called velocity. Its applied based on the current mobs vertical and horizontal acceleration multiplied by the percentage of their hitbox that hits a solid object. Its what is used to kill mobs that fall out of bounds or get stuck in terrain as a fail safe to prevent soft locking.
Shoving enemies into 90 degree corners with frosts globe, then using the globe to push them up in the corner will result in you hitting those enemies for damage cap.

It’s still nice to have, frost will have his Overguard stripped fast enough for knockdowns to still be a threat.

all of you saying don't use prime sure footed are some uneducated fools because overguard can easily be one shotted or widdled down to nothing in a matter of seconds and the mod alone is a form of sustained dps since knockdowns become irrelevant but if you lot don't like it then that's on you but don't run around spreading false info like prime sure footed being meaningless "cuz overguard" because you're dead wrong in that regard

Frost was my OG with my longest playtime for a very long time (only replaced with Wukong somewhat recently due to his efficiency in so many mission types).
Glad to see hes finally getting a little love!
A few things I'd like to see given to Trinity.
1. Increase to base duration of Link.
2. Energy Vampire augment giving Overguard instead of Overshield.
3. Link being recastable.
4. Increase Blessings Damage Reduction from 75% max to 90% max.
She's completely outclassed by today's standards and these small tweaks is really all she'll need to be competitive.
Been using frost for awhile just cause I honestly enjoy his simple kit, it’s nice that he’s getting buffed along with my second prime I had gotten when I was new being ember.

I've been running a completely minimal strength build with both of the arcades you mention, minus the sentinel and it's given me a lot more versatility. Paired with nourish and I have no problem killing literally everything.
Edit: I do run precision intensify so I have the max armor strip before building stacks for molt augmented and I do have 3 red archon shards.
Sounds like something I could try out. If you're having fun with it that's all that matters!
I could be interested in playing around with piercing and cold combos. Just maximum crit debuffs.
Swap psf to any other exilus mod since overguard makes u immune to status (including stagger/knockdown)

I played with frost/strun prime(incarnon, riven) with the new arcane and primary frostbite yesterday.
The results were fucking beautiful
You know, I had my Frost with the Lavos ability replacing his Snow Globe and built him specifically for disruption missions. Now with the changes to him that build is now way better.

Frost was always about armor stripping but the new changes add a lot of new synergy and qol with his abilities
i don’t have frost prime but i might try out the sentinel build and glaxion one, my build is already insane as it is but the fun of exploring never stops
I been playing on Frostie with Freeze Force augment rather than subsuming Xata’s, I replaced Frost Wave with Parasitic Armor (converts shields into armor, conversion increases more with power strength) and used Arcane Battery (gains a certain amount of bonus max energy the more armor you currently have) and Arcane Guardian (more armor). Using primed redirection, idr if I have primed steel fiber on him or not l, and the augments for his 1 and 4, around neutral duration and negative efficiency, enough strength to get about 4.5k armor from Parasitic alone I can usually get 4 to 5k overguard just from the few stragglers you can find in any start of mission. If it’s steel path tho, two casts and I usually cap the around 40k overguard on him. I remember complaining to my mates on how lackluster he seemed to be on getting that overguard up and running but the changes to the augment and the access to the needed arcanes, thanks to the operation belly of the beast, made it so much easier. Cycling it to refresh/top up the overguard is also much easier now as well, so I’m loving Frostie once more
So another frame I saw that got big buffs from the element changes would be Gauss as he benefits from the armor changes and the ice changes.
(edit) Also might take a look a zephyr for the blast changes as well.
Man these updates bringing back the OG frames are amazing. Absolutely love Ember's rework and now Frost may be my go-to tank/cc frame once again. He hasn't been that for me in years.

4:19 so beforehand I did consider his 1 a must keep so you can fix a misplaced bubble (it surprised me just how meny didn’t know it broke his bubble) but now we can freely shoot into it it’s basically a open slot.

Not following the game that closely lately, but last I played (farming the new syndicate stuff) - I played a lot of Frost and it was already awesome. You mean it's become even more awesome?
yep they've actually tweaked him twice recently
They nerfed Ice Wave Impedance (again), but otherwise he is roughly twice as good at killing enemies he already deleted instantly.
And you can shoot through snowglobe.
Since you can shoot through the globes now i realize they are great for moving objectives too like the jade activity, just chain globes together

My glaxion has magnetic cold corrosive rad, t with diriga verglass shivering contagion, cold corrosive rad, its ridiculous, frost is un stoppable

I will say some projectile weapons don't go through bubbles stacked next to each other well, such as bramma, arca, or sometimes even the chakurr or lex incarnon. Not surprising seeing as projectiles have always been weird but hopefully that gets fixed
I have Tested Same build with nourish on first. With magnatic Tent Glexion. Frost is Best CC and Damage Frame Now. I used Health Conversion Mod for more Tankiness on Snowglob. Did 200 kill per min. Before Jade Shadow I have never used Frost But now he is my go to for Long missions. Also I don't have PSF.
The other CC frames have become more usable with the changes to magnetic, magnetic now counters overguard.
I just played the new Frost for the first time in SP Circuit, and he was a monster. No enemies had armor, everyone had tens of thousands of overguard, and no one could move. I really enjoyed the tweaks they did, and I got a lot of use out of Arcane Ice Storm.
Do you need sure footed if you have overguard? I thought it prevented CC

They should do more with that collision damage feature. It’d be interesting if that damage type was more applicable on some other frames
I may finally cave and trade for Icy Avalanche... I have definitely been enjoying the reworked elements. It has been cool to see some of the older Warframes getting improved over time and I hope DE continues to do so. In a similar vein to Frost, I think retooling Banshee to make use of Blast status would probably be a good way to buff her. I'm still holding out hope for some improvements to Oberon.
The only downer for me with Frost's glow up here is that I know how great the Verglas would be, but I love my kubrow with the matching armour set for the Harka skin! I'm so torn! Of course, now that I know that the new Arcane Ice Storm gets jammed up by the sentinels applying status, maybe once I have that maxed out it'll make the choice easier. Heh.
It's cool that they're finally really leaning into the elemental aspect of elemental frame abilities rather than just have it be imaginative. First Hydroid, now Ember and Frost. Hopefully Volt and others come soon after cuz it shouldn't be anywhere close to as hard to do as an actual rework and not take much away from the frames that do need a lot of work like Nyx.
Seeing the older frames getting just the right amount of love and attention to be brought up to snuff gives me hope Valkyr will eventually get some love. No amount of falling out of the meta will ever make her any less my main warframe, but it'd be nice to get some reconsideration of her abilities and how she should work as a melee berserker warframe, especially in light of more recent melee-oriented warframes.
Valkyr legit doesn't need a buff and you along with anyone else need to get that into your heads she's a melee frame there's 0 need to buff her as she does her job just fine and also quit using metas as an excuse because *there's no such thing as metas in this game*
The reason why she might not get looked at any time soon is that she's just the strongest melee frame after Kullervo. Yeah she has two pretty useless abilities, but the rest is just that good :D
I hope Pablo never touches Valkyr with his hands. He does more harm than good.

I didn’t know there was a point to more damage on armor striped enemies I just use mag pull to group now that frozen enemies can be pulled
why not use the glaxion augment replacing vital sense ...you get 20% chance of energy orbs for 0.3 crit dmg multiplier this would ease the energy issues maybe even to the point of being able to replace some of the other energy generators in the build
It is now officially illegal to play Frost without a Glaxion or Tenet Glaxion

It's been nerfed. It used to slow the things you can't freeze. Now that it's just another freeze, enemies like demos and mechs can shrug it off like they do the rest of Frosts kit.

@@minegagadoli Ice Wave being a freeze is pointless on a frame that already has 3 abilities that freeze and also do things other than just freeze enemies. And being able to freeze longer via the augment is specious since any enemy he can freeze dies in 5 seconds anyway after armour strip with the new crit bonuses.
And Thermal Sunder exists in helminth, other frames can just use that to proc ice storm.

@@minegagadoli So what you are saying is that it covers way more enemies that aren’t status resistant and lasts longer on enemies that aren’t status resistant? I'm still not impressed. Lasting longer doesn't mean much when the only enemies it effects die instantly.
More importantly, it used to do all those things AND effect status resistant targets at the same time. It's still worse than it was.

Icy Avalance augment: "Allies within Affinity Range are coated with ice that grants 60 Overguard per enemy hit. Overguard increases by 20% of your Armor once per enemy, Overguard sharing range is now based on affinity range."
20% doesn't sound all that impressive... until you find out it scales with strength and put on Health Conversion/Arcane Guardian and one of those alone is enough to get thousands of Overguard each cast with ease, instead of the paltry few hundreds before in any mission that isn't swarming with enemies like Survival. Still feel the passive needs more than 15m, considering how much freaking range Frost's abilities have, but Frost is in a very good place right now ^_^
Blue Archon shards for armor might be a good option now. Outside of casting speed there isn't really anything he wants from the shards anyway ^^

Sounds like you should try arcane battery
PSF isn't really needed tbh, you already have overguard and if that fails there's both brief respite and shield gating keeping you safe long enough to recast avalanche and reapply overguard so just about anything else can go there instead.
Another fun option would be going for Precision Intensify to boost avalanche as other Frost's abilities don't rely that much on ability strength but his 4 wants as much strength as you can get to get overguard cap as high as possible.
As for helminth, subsuming his 2 for a grouping tool opens up an opportunity to have a go with the reworked blast for literally deleting whole groups of enemies.
Frost is in such a good spot right now and and I love it
Helstrum with fire rate, reload speed, primed firestorm I believe is a better option. Get a riven eith multishot, reload speed, fire rate and you have a really good roll for it.

@@oathtaker_dgRealistically, what else are you gonna put in the exilus? +15% strength or range doesn't really seem that enticing compared to total knockdown immunity. Some frames don't need it though, like frost with Icy Avalanche since overguard makes you immune to status.
@casualbydefault I just don't like the idea that a 400 day login reward is treated like the one and only exilus. I understand it's good but it puts new players off when they see it sometimes.

my big question is whether impeding ice wave still works on phorid
I took Frost to ~6k the other day. A few things I noticed:
1. Frost's 1 is still useless. There's virtually no situation where you'd choose it over Avalanche.
2. At higher levels you're going to see a big drop in KPM because his survival relies more and more on the snow globe. And your Snow Globe needs constant maintenance at high levels due to the very small 10M health cap.
3. Building up a snow globe and having it insta-wiped by a nullifier isn't fun. It's a really dumb, annoying mechanic.
4. The overguard per hit + overguard cap on the 4 makes it very tricky to rely on for survival because the casting animation is extremely slow (and can't be sped up beyond a certain point). The cap should genuinely be at least 10x higher, and the OG per enemy should scale with Avalanche's power strength or Frost's armor, or both.
5. The armor bonus is kinda useless because of the health cap on snowglobe and the fact that, at higher levels, you're keeping enemies *away* from you. Ideally, the passive would scale with range, that way if you go max range for avalanche/snowglobe you'd also get a much larger passive radius for the armor boost.
I'm a frost main, primarily at least, so I do enjoy the frame. These buffs were great QoL wins and fixed some of the most obvious issues. Still, I'd really like to see the above addressed.

i think Xaku is fine, i run level cap steel path with him easily, make sure you use gaze twice to armor strip everyone around you
Before this update he was a trash frame with a busted 4. Now he’s awesome
I really wish I had been able to get that frost skin when it was available. Now every time I look at him I just see a missed opportunity and can't play him.

So whats the point of Rifle elementalist if it doesn't effect any of the statuses on the verglas? is it just for the punch through? if so why not just use a punch through mod? also whats the point of tenacious bond since the verglas doesnt get above 50% crit chance?

The overguard on avalanche gets burnt through pretty quick tbh. I just like it this way. I know growing power or another Aura might fit for others but I just like being overly tank.
@@TacticalPotato fair enough. I have also been playing with the new arcane that gives you overguard when you damage overguard on the prisma angstrum incarnon.
It melts, and the angstrum benefits from the bug where biting frost is applied as a final crit damage and chance multiplier.
Keeps overguard really healthy.
