This was interesting. It is amazing what we can fit into a pouch. I took a trip last Summer. I did great with my small black pouch. It has a couple different compartments and some pockets for the sharpener, erasers etc. I had a small Daler Rowney sketchbook. I have another small sketchbook. I can't leave home without these things that make my life happy. Thank you for sharing.
Great video, as always so helpful. A university tutor of mine used to say all you need to draw, when out and about, is a water soluable pen and spit 😂😂😂
I’ve been filling up a dropper bottle (as is common for acrylic miniature paints) to refill my fountain pen with. No need for a big ink bottle or a syringe.
I have an EDC Pouch I carry everywhere with my Mixed media sketchbook. It is an old Delde pouch, the kind that slides down and stands up and holds pens and pencil. I carry my 20+ Faber-Castell some micron pens in various colors, a Twsbi fountain pen, pencil sharpener, one Derwent water paintbrush,Micron portable painter set, and the sleeve of an old T-shirt for a cloth. I am amazed how much I get in it. 😮🤪
Wonderful - thank you. It’s always fun to see what other people’s supplies 😊 I’m impressed that with how pared down your supplies are! That’s a great system. I overpack by taking several brushes, which take up a lot of room. Using waterbrushes would be liberating, but I can’t seem to make them work for me.
This is the PERFECT video for me! I'm going on a trip to the shore later this month and I was wondering just what to take. This gives me a great idea how to take a little bit of everything, without overpacking! (I took notes while watching so I can pack my little art kit later)
With the stool, I’d also add if you’re disabled and use a walking stick, you can get them either fold down seats, and I fyoure in the uk most towns and cities have a notability and/or dial a ride centre near the centre f town, where you can hire a walker, or wheelchair or mobility scooter for the day. X
Hi Koosje, Your videos help me a lot to just go out and DO 🙃 Just one question, you mention your sketchbooks and I tried to find them but couldn't. You also don't mention them here. Would you post a link? With the describtion alone I wasn't able to find them. Keep in mind, I'm 51, so maybe too rusty on the internet🤔😉☺ Thanks a lot!!🥰
Sketchbooks that I use often are Hahnemühle Nostalgie (not watercolor paper), and Hahnemühle Watercolour book. I also like the watercolor sketchbooks from the Travelogue series, but those are harder to find in The Netherlands.
Greetings: Very helpful video. Thank you. Please, let us know which fountain ink syringe you use. Sadly that was not included in your gear listed with the video. Cheers…

Koosje, I believe Danny Gregory mentioned that you were a professional photographer before you decided to teach art. If this is the case, do you still carry any camera gear with you when you travel or are you strictly now a smartphone and sketchbook person? Photography has been a hobby of mine for years (drawing was first, when I was still in grade school and through college) and sometimes I think it would just be too much to try and take both sets of equipment...even though I can go with my camera and one lens and be creative with that limitation. I would be curious to find out if the photographer in you is still coming out occasionally. Thank you for some great tips on how to pack for my next outing!
Indeed I was a professional photographer but nowadays I carry my sketchbook to capture moments. I have my smartphone to take pictures when I need to scratch the itch.
Could you please give me the link for the alphabet stamps? I have searched Amazon top to bottom and can’t find that typeface. It is one that I prefer. Thanks.
I can’t remember where I got my stamp set but a quick search brought me to similar typewriter font stamp sets: www.ebay.com/itm/226046542041?itmmeta=01HY90W2HWZF8RA7QN68K9KRQ1&hash=item34a16c80d9:g:CdYAAOSw7TZl81B3&amdata=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8LZvQJrMPRLX4E8jKaAuegZOTz7bHJShWF8c1ZkVmwxnaPh0%2Fall9nGdPnXIMvdpFu6tJLpWO9Vt6%2BsJ2%2FsRnc0ND6DuTEWrICcDUohwmp4yHcvvH0DqeogbSnyWXyUv2P5WkQgt9HN8CgHrWxdV13sJtW6D1WwVq%2BUdR2M%2FlOmWILcp%2BUq1WkeFtsXhkjJ5uqv2ydTLoWQFrbdNauEQtfFadwR0tBapcF8TKWPYZKy3V94gucg7v44xrkTTcSygF7FmheTRnVHlr81YveeSPhYzCI9YmcsOuKuBM61Ypn0VIwfF4gu2m5VgUJXF1%2FMLSQ%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBMgqnwoPJj www.amazon.com/Medium-Piece-American-Typewriter-Bundle/dp/B08KV24LSK
I bought mine many years ago (in a shop not online) and the shop doesn’t exist anymore, these particular ones probably aren’t sold anymore, but when using google I see many many options and I’m sure you’ll find something you will like!

"I can't leave home without these things that make my life happy" - I love that!
I have a moleskin sketch book and a black and grey copic fineliner. And a clip board to lean on.
I carry these everywhere with me.
You found your perfect kit!
Thank you, most helpful!
Glad to hear that!
10:42 so jealous of all of the luminance pencils *clutches her dozen pencils* lol😝
LOL

Truth!

Very smart!

Wow, it seems minimal yet it isn't, just like my kit.
This was perfect. I’m going on vacation next week! Now I have some ideas!
Great! Safe travels!

It may look pared down but I think it's still a lot what I pack.
Great haircut Koosje!...and video as well!

Have a wonderful trip!
So many items but they pack up neatly. I like the plastic zip bag with all those pockets.
Yes, it's not exactly minimal - but compact enough.
@@KoosjeKoene I bought one and a roll for my pencils. 😊

Oh that is indeed a really great addition!

enjoyed this,...I like the hair like this, by the way!
Oh thank you!
They have all kinds of cute small bags at Dollar Tree that are great for this stuff. Very affordable.
That's great!
You are an inspiration
Thanks so much!
