    Nikki; you mentioned the perception of a “perfect” design. You are absolutely correct! The design is like a shiny toy at Christmas, flaws and all, you love it. I doubt though there is ever anyone who built from design and didn’t make changes.

    I am doing a similar project and am at this same stage of the project that is starting the top floor. However, I was advised to buy 2500 hollow blocks but from your project, Ive seen your mason using both hollow and whole 5 inch blocks?

      Congrats. We’re using 6 inch hollow blocks on the first floor and used 6 inch solid on the ground. We need a total of 3600 for the first floor. Please note we’re are not doing a hidden roof so there would be four courses of blocks after the lintel.
