    Damn that Mister Clean is so nice. I'm torn between Interceptor and Continental. I love the cafe look but I think my aging wrists would hate me.

      @PeelOutGarage  2 роки тому +1

      I had the same issue!
      Luckily I like the MK2 paint more, but the interceptor was defiantly the right choice for me!
      I have gone away on a few 1000k plus weekends and there is no way I could have survived that on the GT

    Good video! Perhaps not day 1, but I added Grip Puppies (handlebar grips), a Hitchcock's oil cooler cover replacement, a Dart Piranha flyscreen and I have a YSS front fork kit and K-Speed rear shocks on order. I have left the mudguards on as they don't bother me as yet.

    • @PeelOutGarage

      Sounds like a very nice setup!
      What are your thoughts on the Dart screen? I have heard good things I just can’t decide what size I want 🤔

      @@PeelOutGarage The Dart Piranha does reduce the wind blast at chest level I find (I am 6' tall) and there is no buffeting at helmet level. I also installed Hitchcock's Enfield Precision stainless steel silencers which sound great even with the baffles in. All imported as I am Thailand based.

    Love the chrome tank ,I have a 2019 Interceptor In Ravishing red , when we put the S&S slip ons on we noticed the headers have a washer welded inside. Just get a hole saw & drill them out & then She will fly.

      Hey mark, which end of the pipes have the washer in them?

      @@PeelOutGarage When you pull the mufflers off look inside the headers & there was a washer welded in each header ,or at least there was on the 2019 model, I just got a drill & a hole saw & drilled them out. About 20mm .Let us know if yours has the same. Mark.

      I will have to have a look, I’ve changed my mufflers but I didn’t notice any restrictor

    A piece of floss works good removing reflectors. A lil lemon oil yo remove adhesive.

    Looks good but get a wet ass when it rains & is a real stone flicker,no good for mates traveling behind.I used dental floss when removing reflectors then a alcohol swab all done no glue.I got S&S slip on's race only one's with no baffles & sound throaty but not as big as bore as the Lextec with no baffles.

    Easy to carry a 5 litre petrol tank? (For me the tank size is a bit small on the Interceptor for touring perhaps).

    • @PeelOutGarage
      @PeelOutGarage  2 роки тому +1

      I feel like it is small as well, that being said I am able to get 300ks to a tank which isn’t that bad.
      The gt has an even smaller tank!
      It makes it hard if you want to go long distances without stopping, and if you are riding at WOT it’s more like 150-200ks which again isn’t horrible but a bigger tank would be nice

      @@PeelOutGarage When I visit a local Royal Enfield dealer I'll ask maybe. I guess its not really an issue for me in Uk or Spain etc.
      I am looking at say a KTM adv 390 which does more MPG.
      P.s Am currently getting 300 plus miles on one tank. But am on a 125...its heaven in that sense😂

    • @PeelOutGarage
      @PeelOutGarage  2 роки тому +1

      300 miles!!!! Bloody hell, that’s amazing on fuel. Maybe I need a little bike to run around town on 🤔😅

      @@PeelOutGarage I know its a curse though as its addictive....have done 500 miles since I got it and half a tank or so left...
      And thats exactly what am doing riding around 20 miles locally. But will do some longer rides in summer. First service soon! (Was lucky with weather in sept/oct etc so was out 5x a week. Easily eat up the miles just zzzz, well not for a learner but after same route x20)
      P.s think the Honda 125 is prob the most fuel eff but I have a 20l tank...
      Its why am considering the Zontes GK 350, has a 20l also which adds another 100 km in range + o _ 😜
      Most bikes are say 14l tank size so the 20l ones based on the figures they give you thats around an extra 100 km depending on factors like weight etc, av speed.
      Its "fuel" for thought boyo.
      P.p.s The interceptor though what a corker (thats why am thinking of carrying an extra 5 litre would put my 20l ocd to bed ha)

    So your bike is not road legal now?

    • @PeelOutGarage
      @PeelOutGarage  2 роки тому +1

      Well.. technically it wasn’t legal when I changed the mufflers, or took the guards off.
      But 99% of the police in my area don’t care as long as you are not hurting anyone or being an idiot 😊

    I done heap's of mods check em out bro.Stock pipes are 6kg each swap em aftermarket only 3kg each.Get a S&S or K&N air filter & retainer or use 3 washers & they larger.Just traveled around Lake Taupo & went up Mount Whakapapa on Interceptors & a Continental with Vinny from UA-cam Road Blast Media site check it out.

      Hey Man,
      I definitely want to change out the filter but first I need too find an ECU that will work with the E5 Computer. apparently even removing the cats on the E5 will put it into limp home mode due to the new tune.

      @@PeelOutGarage I seen a Continental Gt Euro 5 British Racing green & he had a S&S air filter & retainer & S&S Headers S&S slip on's & it f🤬n moved blowing away Harley Davidsons & MT 07 655cc learner approved bikes.So it can be done,I'm not sure if ECU was stock but I'll see if I can find out if it's stock ECU or aftermarket but I think it might of been stock ECU.I know you can get slip on's for stock Euro 5 bro.

      @@PeelOutGarage You could trade it back in & get a Euro 4 model that shop still had some but they are selling quick as everyone wants Euro 4 & still be a 2022 registered bike but be a 2020 or 2021.My bike is a Euro 4 & tell everyone to buy one cause it easy to customize.
      That Euro 5 Gt British Racing green one had a full S&S system but no booster plug cause that wires into ECU.I'll try & find out if it was stock or not so you can do it to your bike but the Euro 4 model are at least $500 cheaper to & the Mk2 model is worth $500 more than a lesser colour but the Glitter & Dust model is a Euro 4 but with a black stripe & is not as loud as the red stripe.Also it probably be easier & cheaper in long run to trade back in for Euro 4,what you done 2500km max plus the $500 saved on a Euro 4 it might only cost you $1500 of your own cash plus the $500 for the cheaper E 4 could have a Glitter & Dust or a cheaper model like a Ravishing Red,Mk3, Orange Crush,Silver Spectre.A new ECU will probably cost $1500, something to think about.Have a look at my latest video that GT that's parked up has a 2-1 TEC system & it does 200kmh passed me & I was 165kmh & he was pulling away & we at high altitude to.Definitly subscribe to Road Blast Media & check it out.
      The Corromandle ride video has the Euro 5 Green Gt in it & Taupo trip be out next few days probably Monday or Tuesday.I rode with Harley's yesterday & took baffles out & went to a Harley pub in the country & my bike keeps up with a 1580cc Harley easy & blows em away in the corners.

      @@PeelOutGarage Hey bro I found out the Euro 5 British Racing green model in Journey to Corromandle on Road Blast Media UA-cam site was stock ECU with S&S Headers & slip on's that have no cats & S&S air filter too & it moved.Can't use booster plug or power commander but a S&S full system give a heap more power.Euro 5 models do run about 30% leaner too that's why Euro 4 models are better but it can be done a Headers,slip on's,air filter on stock ECU.

    • @PeelOutGarage
      @PeelOutGarage  2 роки тому +1

      Awesome thanks man, I think I’ll probably just end up swapping out my ECU for a Euro 4 model, that way I can tune it and won’t have to worry. I am a bit concerned about how lean they run, although I know it’s isn’t going to cause any damage. It just doesn’t seem like a good thing long term.
