Excited and scared by the Victory 2. The first version destroyed my legs after running in them. Very interested to see how the new version alters their impact on legs and if they are indeed more versatile for an every day athlete who isn’t Sifan Hassan or Faith Kipyegon. 😅
agreed I have zero clue why they were advertised for 5ks when they completely destroyed my calves for the 3200 since it kept me on my toes the whole race
Victory’s have always been a mid distance spike whose purpose is to keep you on your toes. Unless you’re one of the elites or your legs can handle the abuse in them, move to the old matumbo’s or dragonfly’s. Spikes are meant for racing and intense workouts, not an everyday kick to throw on for an average runner
Ingebrigtsen used the dragonfly before and now he uses the air zoom victory 2 as an replacement I think the dragonfly is a downgrade and air zoom victory is the King spike more stable and just more responsive Tsegay, kipyegon, ingebrigtsen and more only choosing the air zoom victory 2 is insane
one thing I hate about maxflys and why i won’t get anymore is that the cushion is unreliable it either pops and soon as they pop they are pointless to wear, they just don’t last long if ur powerful athlete
This just isn’t true, as someone who is decently fast (10.5,21.4 Jr) I’ve had my original maxflys since release in 2021, and they only recently popped in early 2024. I used them for almost every session/meet. Since then, I’ve had my maxflys uptempos in the same conditions as the last ones and they’re still going strong.
@@ayronwyd i bought the original maxfly and the green lime pair they both popped in the inside cushion first after about 3 months having them so i don’t know how yours have been able to survive so i had switched to pumas
Yes you can wear them for XC, I would only recommend the dragonfly on a all grass course if there’s rocks dirt etc, don’t wear the spikes wear flats or vaporflys 👍👍

Air zoom victory 2 and maxfly 2 are 🔥
So many top athletes even wear the maxfly for the 800

I’m not the only one who noticed 😅
Vaporfly 3

I would too if I worked for nike and could get as many free shoes as I wanted

The Dragonfly 2 are astonishing 🤩
Nice shoes and even better performance. Just wish they would get way more colors.
I just fricking bought dragonflies
I run the 800 in maxflys, should I get the victory 2s
I think it sounds ike the vic 2s is less aggressive so if you win an aggressive shoe then maxfly if you want

That's because of the stack height, not the plates. And yes they are much faster
If I got the dragonfly’s could I use them for xc?
You could but you shouldn’t because of the plastic in the plate, go with the xc variant of the dragonfly or vaporflys
