Just because of the hype surrounding this brand, I feel quite underwhelmed. Especially with the shimmer going so patchy. Hopefully it works out better using the dark to light method.

This palette seems a little disappointing. I haven't tried the brand. I probably won't. I'm not talented enough to make a slightly difficult formula perform. Thank you for saving me money! 😁💛
I love my Meet me in the Underworld palette. I find it really easy to work with (I tend to work dark to light with it) and it has me using neutral & bronze shades that I never normally touch! Their liquid metallic shadows are simply stunning. Meet me at Midnight is arriving today and I’m excited for it, not just the palette but the whole experience of opening a Lois Cosmetics package is wonderful. So much personal care and attention to detail - it makes a big difference 🥰

I've had this palette about 2 months now as I got it in PR and I absolutely LOVE it. I've found it to be super versatile and easy to work with.
Awe man. I love the colors in the pallet but they seem to be patchy and not very pigmented. The metallics look beautiful though.

So happy you are trying this and the brand ❤️✨ 13:50 i find that the sandwich method works best with LC, you start with the dark going to the lightest and then go back 1,2,3,4 - 4,3,2,1 if that makes sence

I bought the Meet me in the Underworld palette having been drawn into all the hype, and whilst not wishing to diss on the brand, Colourpop, Juvia's Place and BH do it better and at half the price. The shimmer forumla is just lacklustre, not very shiny and just weak and and the mattes are indeed thin and hard pressed. I shan't be buying from them again unti lthe forumla of both is improved.
I own Gone rogue and Meet me in the underworld. I love the matte formula but I do think it works better from going dark to light that said the black in Underworld is so good and you can use it anyway you want it builds on top on shadows beautifully and I do reach for that palette for the black shade most. I didn't pick up this one yet but probably will at some point.

I really love the eyeshadow quality in their Meet Me in the Underworld palette. I started a video series where I pair an indie eyeshadow palette with every story from Cosmobiological, my book of hopepunk sci-fi short stories and fairytales. I paired Meet Me in the Underworld with my story Lost Angeles which is a rewriting of the Rape of Persephone myth. (In my video, I break down Persephone’s story, but then I realized later I never actually talked about Orpheus & Eurydice. 😅) So I’m excited to see how this palette works out.
I love this brand, have have the first 3 palettes and waiting on my meet me at midnight. The formula works amazing on me and I find it lasts all day ( I work 13 hours shifts as a nurse). I can't wait to dip in.
How do you use it? Do you use primers? I love the colour story and want to support a UK brand if possible, so keen to hear all thoughts on it.
I always use primers, my favourite are revlon candid or pebble and crow (it's a gives a powder like base).
I just tend to go in with the darkest shade first then build around rather than layer. I always use a glitter glue for shimmers due to working but it's habit now.
.... crow and pebble is a British indie brand as well.
I also have the lois cosmetics liquid eyeshadow to try as well. Xxx

Totally recommend the crow and pebble eye primer, works for me anyways. I do struggle with the loose eyeshadow but I mix them with a big of inglot and hey pressto. My lois package just came and its stunning 😍
I really like their palette colourstories cause they seem like they can easily cater to darker skin too. And that is comentable cause I am pretty sure the owner is as pale as I am 😛
I love their Meet me in the Underworld palette, it works well and is more my color preference. I passed on this one and chose the Lethal cosmetics nightflower palette and two liners instead!

I hurled myself over the lemming cliff to get Meet Me in the Underworld and, $60 later w/ exchange and shipping to the US, it's ... not my favorite. Don't get me wrong, the color story and package artwork are beautiful, but somehow the colors all look exactly the same on my eyes. Seriously. I like to use different colors on each eye because my eyes are asymmetrical, but I could barely see a difference between the pink side and the green side. I thought the mattes were fine and the shimmers were a nice one-and-done wash, however I won't be running over the cliff to get this latest palette, no matter how much hype there is around this brand.

Hey Angie! Got my Hela box today and was able to put on a look before work. Love the colors I used. Meet me in the Underworld was one of my favorite purchases from last year. The shimmer formula is thick and the mattes are wonderful. I'm waiting for this one to get through customs 😊

I have the Meet Me in the Underworld palette, love it, didn't have any issues with any shades, and the shimmers are super creamy. Bonus: because it's pink and green, if you mix the shades together, you can create more or less neutral looks
I'd be really interested in a multiple look video with this considering your thoughts of the dark blue and the other mattes. I'm waiting to order this, I love the colour story but I probably have it, so if it isn't like my other palettes with these colours in terms of quality, I won't use it.
The look you created is stunning and would like to hear how you think of it once you get to use it more.
I don't have the Meet Me At Midnight palette, only the Meet Me In The Underworld palette and while I do think the mattes are thinner than the shimmers and also look darker in the pans than on the eye I usually always do my eyelooks lightest to darkest colour and I never had a problem with the shimmers not blending into the mattes or the shimmers getting patchy like that blue shade did on you. I don't spray my shimmers though, I use my finger and then blend the edges with a dry brush so maybe that makes a difference🤷♀

I bought meet me in the underworld, I like It , but, didn't fall in LOVE with It, might be also an age problem, the shimmers don't suit my eye lids, I prefer using other fórmulas for this kind of shadows

I have the Meet me in the underworld palette. I do find the shadow a little harder to work with. The shimmer are great at first but wear off.

I got my Hela palette last week and have gotten to play with it a few times now. I love it, but even better is that I talked my coworker into getting one as well (so our order qualified for free shipping) and she also loves it. She used to have a dark green that was her favorite eyeshadow and hasn't been able to find a dupe for over a decade. Ouroboros is that shade and she is over the moon to have it again.

Hi Angie❤️ completely off topic but I was wondering if you think that the milk grip eyeshadow primer could avoid the creasing of the shimmers from beauty bay on you. Since that primer is so drying and the formula is so emollient maybe they could work together. Have you already try it?
Would you compare these shimmers to beauty bay and glam lite?

I always find that when I use a setting spray on a shimmer over a primer and mattes that are already set dow , it can disturb what is going on underneath if I'm not really careful, but my eyes are weird anyway.

Color story is nice but it looks like it's not a beginner friendly formula.
I'm not sure if you've ever tried the shadows from Sydney Grace as I've never heard you speak of them but you should definitely give this brand a try. The shimmer shadows are so rich and almost creamy in texture...absolutely beautiful, in my opinion. The Enduring Love palette and the Tiny Marvels palettes are both beautiful and the collection that Temptalia collabed on is lovely. Even the new Be Mine palette is worth a look...

I just bought PRANCE💠 in a liner vault from Colourpop‘s website.
These mattes look like a formula that you need to pack and blend. It's to bad that the black is not truly matte. I think that I will wait a while for this one. I want to see what Heather and Karen have to say before i make my final decision.
It gives me Arcana palette vibes from Shroud cosmetics.
I want it. Especially as it's a UK brand. I just don't need it, so can't justify buying it. 😭

This palette is beautiful but I’m gonna be honest, it seemed like a lot of work to get right. The meet me in the underworld always looked beautiful but I wasn’t sure if it was just the color story and packaging people seemed hype about. I heard the shimmers were kind of meh in it but the mattes seem kind of meh in this one.

Does anyone know how much shipping is now with Lois Cosmetics? On their website they said the shipping price went down, but there was no info on the price. I was going to say that the only reason I didn’t buy this palette was because I couldn’t see this color story symbolizing any of the other stories in my book (because I’ve been pairing every hopepunk story in my book with an indie eyeshadow palette in my videos). But that’s not entirely true… I was deterred by the shipping. When I bought Meet Me in the Underworld, the shipping was almost as much as the palette… and as someone who has always lived in the US, I’m not used to paying astronomical shipping prices regularly.

Shipping to Texas is 9.99 in British pounds (which should equal $13.40 USD) I almost did the current pre-order for Meet Me in the Underworld. But my eyes sorta bug out after $10.00. Lol
It's the reason I have not tried Lethal but it seems their shipping has gone down too. BUT these could change with the issue in Ukraine. So I would order quickly if interested. Not sure where Lois actually ships from (even tho it is UK based) But I'm gonna guess that anything shipping from China is about to go UP cause the air space over Ukraine & Russia is restricted. And that is a route for many shipments.

I don't like the color story of this palette. I liked the color story for Meet Me in the Underworld better than this one. I haven't tried Lois Cosmetics and probably won't, but I am interested in seeing what color stories they come out with. I want to make my own Meet Me at Midnight palette since I love cool tones and I just love the name of the palette for the name itself.

@@teresamulhern I would say if there is no update the package is either waiting for a plane (there are so many less planes now going worldwide due to covid :( ) or the package is waiting to be sorted at a facility. Ive had that problem too with shipping these last two years, it sucks :/

I didn’t like this palette at all. Tried it with all diff bases too. Disappointing overall. Even at 05:40 you can see your having the same issue I had. Patchy once you start layering them. And 11:54 I had the exacttttt same problem. The more you pack gently to try later, even softly blending the edges taking your time, these shadows looked so patchy and started lifting. They just didn’t play well together and for me personally it’s too much hard work for a basic result at the end. If it was show stopping it’d be worth the extra hard work but it’s not.

Did you get it through PR too? Because anybody who bought it on release just got theirs today if they were in the UK…. That would be the only way you’d have tried it.
@@teresamulhern It’s irrelevant how I acquired the palette? I just stated the couple issues I had with it under various bases. Which were the exact same issues angie experienced in this video. Why would anybody write they had issues with a product they didn’t have? I don’t understand it makes no sense at all.
Ps Iv always supported you and your channel Teresa. So really disheartening and upsetting reading you replied to my comment which bear no relevance to my comment only questioning how Iv acquired my palette or implying I couldn’t have tried it in which case an implication I’d be a liar.
It was only 2-3 days ago I was on your community tab offering support after people called you racist.
You shouldn’t question where people get products from. My palette isn’t good. I did say I enjoyed the colour story but just had issues once I started layering all the mattes. Which I’m sure you too know by now if you’ve played with it a lot :-(
