I feel like these meals would be appealing and easy for my dad. He's a big eater, so he prefers these bigger, skillet-style meals.
And I'm glad they give you a ton of sauce too, since my dad prefers sauce with his sauce 😅
I never thought I would see the day that Kevin liked a Chef Boyardee meal. It's a miracle lol. Looks very scarce on the chicken though, especially for a family meal
I never thought the day would come either 😄
Chef boyaredee is my favorite chef. I remember seeing him on TV cooking when I was a kid! I don't see him on the food network anymore
my biggest pet peeve is when tami is reading/talking, kevin just digs in the food without waiting😂
If Kevin waited until Tami was done talking to eat he’d die if starvation!!!! lol… just kidding
@@emilybilbow4990 haha i can understand that!
😂😂 🤣
😂
I bet the actual Chef Boiardi (branded as Boyardee so it was easy to pronounce) from the 1920’s would be proud of this version! There was a pretty neat history channel show “The Food That Built America” episode called “Pasta Party” for any food geeks like me that want to know more. 😊
I was wondering whether you’d love these, as I know how Kevin feels about their canned meals. Glad this turned out well. Thanks for the review.
These are much better than their canned versions.
Not sure if you said this but it reminds me of the frozen Voila vegetable pastas in the freezer section. Has pasta, chicken, and vegetables. Same sauce packets like this had
I got to try this looks yummy
I LOVE broccoli with chicken alfredo! My mom makes a low fat healthier chicken broccoli alfredo and it was what I always requested for my birthday 😅 This sounds like a great option for when you need a filling meal in a pinch! Thank you!!
I agree!
I definitely want to give these meals a try. Thank you for sharing 🙂
Hope you enjoy them 😃
Great review
Thank you!
Looks very good and sounds ok for a quick meal. Thanks so much. 😊😊
You’re welcome 😊
I haven't seen this yet! I actually love the chef boyardee "pizza kit" 👍🏻
I hope you enjoy it 😃
They did have alfredo in a can but I haven't seen it lately. Of course, I haven't been hunting down for it lately either. The can version of alfredo is really good and I would eat it from time to time for quick meals. Otherwise thanks for trying the frozen version of it for us!
Adding some broccoli would be a great addition! I’m glad the texture of the chicken and pasta was tender and not tough. I just wish there was more chicken. I love a white sauce, so this sounds really good, especially a one pot meal. Great review.
Broccoli would be easy and make it go further. I’d like a little crunch too.
@@TamiDunn I like some crunch too.
Now I'm curious to see what you think of the others. I'm not a big fan of alfredo sauce, but I do like that they give you 4 pouches of sauce. Would make it easier to make just one serving. Would definitely want to add some vegetables to this.
i am going to look for this TFS
Hope you like it!
This is the review I have been waiting for! Well actually the spaghetti one is the one I'm most excited for but alfredo works too!
Looks like exactly what I was hoping for. I'm not really seeing 4 1/2 servings but it does look tasty! Can't wait to try. It is finally out at our Walmart for $7.99
The spaghetti & meatballs video will be posted tomorrow :)
@@TamiDunn Yay! 😊
They used to make chicken Alfredo pasta in the can but they stopped making it .
And I think they also stopped making the chicken raviolis too .
Looks really good. I would add peas or asparagus as a vegetable add on choice.
Great idea!
I want to try the ravioli, and the meatball one.
I love Alfredo sauce. It is so buttery and creamy😋
With this unusually wonderful food choice,😢😮 challenged by ‘Chef Boy-Ar-Dee’, I was absolutely😂 and completely surprised that the ‘Conagra Brands’ company could send us all one of best frozen meal bags provided for your review here today. When I really like a food product that is NOT good, I find that both of you will be completely honest with us. The ‘Lunchtime Review’ episodes of microwave only product reviews are also why I will or will not get a particular food item added to my shopping list to, or at least “try” the food product. Another great video T&K! HUGS again from Gary in Albuquerque.
It's great to hear from you, Gary!
Chef BoyArdee used to have a canned Chicken Alfedo Penne and Chicken Alfredo 1-2-3's, but I saw them clearanced out several years ago. I love Alfredo Sauce, especially the 4-Cheese or Basil, but the canned stuff wasn't very good. I do like some of the canned CBAD, but I eat it cold out of the can. Never thought I'd see the day Kevin liked a CBAD meal. If I would get this, I would add some John Soule's Rotisserie Strips, cut into cubes and some red bell pepper and zucchini, and use one less packet of the cheese sauce. The price makes it a non-starter. I can buy a box of Fettuccini or Penne for under $2 and about $2.50 for a jar of Afredo Sauce, and have more food. This is good if you want a quicker meal, but you're already using a pan, so I would just go home-made.
Thanks for the price breakdown. I think sometimes I get caught up in what’s convenient when going to a little more effort will save some money and probably would taste better too😊
Man i like chef boyardee tho :)
Cuz i havent eat it tho :(
I'd add a bunch of broccoli for sure 🥦🥦🥦🥦🥦🥦
It would add so much flavor & texture.
Tami that's me too. I don't like white sauce either definitely not a fan of Alfredo sauce. But looks halfway decent. Thanks
It just doesn’t appeal to my eyes 😄
😂
Hey Tami,
I like @JohnMC61 comment about just buying a jar of sauce and pasta separately to save money.
I know white sauce isn’t your favorite 😉 but have you ever compared jarred Alfredo sauce and picked the best one or could you?
No, I haven’t bought them.
I was impressed alone by how thick the sauce got. I was expecting a watery mess. I could see this being a decent option if yuy jazzed it to a bit with mower chicken, seasoning and some parmesan cheese
This looks really good although 2 servings is more accurate. I would definitely add broccoli just because I love it. I will buy this if I find it, but to be honest I would not give it a second look without this review because I would automatically equate Chef Boyardee with the canned stuff. It may not be the best branding ConAgra has done.
Thank you for trusting our opinion! There will be another one of these videos tomorrow.
Did y’all used to make the chef b pizzas back in the day with the crust and sauce in the box? That was a big deal back in the 80’s. 😂😂
We did a review on the channel & that’s the only one I’ve ever had!
This looks better than the cans I guess 😆
It’s much better.
Hey there
Hey
Doesn’t seem like much water for all that sauce. And not much pasta either
Little bit overprice when you can do it yourself.
This meal is for convenience :)
I like Chef Boyardee microwave cups of chicken vegetable rice and lasagne also the canned butter noodle pasta.
The only two foods from brand I think are yucky are Beefaroni and canned Mac and cheese they are both awful texture and ew flavor .
Not a fan of Alfredo. I just don’t like the taste of the sauce. I prefer red sauce. I like chef boyardee but the max and cheese one is nasty. I love the lasagna one and the beefaroni
