I love the leather seats, super comfortable. The food was tasty. Metal cutlery would have been better, yet the plastic cutlery was durable to cut meat. Overall, I liked my experience with Saudia.

i'm not really sure if Saudia competing with airlines like Emirates, Qatar or Etihad, considering many regular Saudia routes also serves Hajj and Umrah flights. That's why Saudi Arabia launches Riyadh Air as their second flag carrier.

KLIA Airport is such a mess, the train transfer between the terminals for intercontinental flights has been disrupted for the last 3 or 4 years already and will still take years to complete. It is always a nuisance (KUL is my homebase) to have to fly intercontinental from KLIA with that stinking diesel bus transfer and the endless queues. Like you stated, only security at the gat, causing again long queues and no priority lanes at the gates for their Enrich members, it is a disaster.
