- FPV maiden day for the FMS 1.5m P47 Razorback. 3 flights - one LOS with a buddy on goggles to safety test the video range then 2 proper FPV flights. The video is a mash up of the 2 FPV flights - at one point I got bounced by a thug in marauding Ta152. A fella can't even do a test flight in peace! Thanks for the tussle Tom Connors.
Technical: The model is using a DJI air unit on a fibre board pan/tilt unit using a Turnigy 180 pan servo. Didn't use a BAG this time as I don't need more than 180 degrees rotation due to the cockpit bulkhead.

Brilliant, the whole video! I enjoyed the addition of sound effects and love how scale your cockpit interior is! Even weathering along the canopy frame! Asking from the perspective of someone considering doing the same, do you land FPV as well or take off the goggles for the approach and landing?

I just got into FPV with head tracking on a F-22 and want something WW2-era next, this cockpit setup is incredible! I've been considering a P-38 as my next plane. Did the cockpit come that detailed from FMS?
No it didnt Luke, I have added a fair few custom details. Having said that the bulk of this cockpit did indeed come with it. The sight, panel and side walls were all included. Best detailed cockpit I ever saw out of the box. It was all painted green with dodgy fantasy dials, but with a bit of paint and proper dials stuck on, it wouldn't be too far off what you see here.

Legend! How are you able to have the cockpit so clear in view? Did you refocus the lense? Cheers!
It came out of the box like this. However I did notice it doesn't seem focussed on infinity the way they normally are - the outside world is in softer focus than usual, and the cockpit sharper. As nice as it was, I actually prefer a sharper external focus so I may see if I can adjust it.
