  • In this video I am speaking about my fav 300 cc category motorcycle (including naked and faired motorcycle) sold in INDIA.
I know that many people own the BMW G310R and G310 RR, also TVS Apache RR 310, while very few number of people owning A Mojo 300. I think the CB 300r is the best bike compared to these bikes. The BMW suffers from it's poor gearbox and vibration. While the TVS suffers with its more vibration and mediocre fuel injection tuning. The CB 300r however has none of the above.
Though I should mention that CB 300r had 2 issues from the factory 1-- battery issue , which the company fixed it free and taking the motorcycle to the service centre through ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE. 2-- Engine case , Honda sent a mail to the owner that the Engine Case has a fault and they found out that issue and recalled all the BS6 CB 300r and alloted a date and time to get it fixed again for free of cost. I should say Honda lived upto it's expectation in this regard by noticing and fixing the problem quickly by themselves and not waiting till the end moment.
But other than that this motorcycle is just a beast in this category of motorcycle. The build quality, fit and finish, riding posture, engine refinement, etc has been done very well. The motorcycle is comfortable for me who is 5'11" and comfortable for my friend and owner of this bike who is 5'7" to 5'8" in height. I can flatfoot on one side but bare flatfoot on the other so this is a bit taller on the seat height.
This is not a beginner motorcycle by any means because the power delivery , the breaking, acceleration, etc are not something that a beginner can handle. The owner previously had a good experience of riding less powerful motorcycles hence this was a perfect upgrade to him.
The bike is just amazing to ride for a long time, since it comes with a liquid cooled engine. Hence the bike performs very good on the highway and in the city is where it shines and just because of its 147 kilograms of weight which is 30 kilograms less than my CBR 250r and that torque which is available through out the rev band till the redline just makes you feel confident and can overtake anyone in the city traffic.
The bike doesn't feel stressed at all even after doing 550 km in one day the engine is as amazing as it gets. The motorcycle gave an mileage of 35 in the overall ride of 550 km of highway riding. Though I have travelled in this motorcycle as a pillion as well but I have to say it's not comfortable for long rides, you can do city riding or going to the office and coming back on this motorcycle but not any kind of long ride.

That's not all my friend because only in terms of raw power and tech is what Duke excels over CB 300r but if you look at the overall quality and service provided by Honda and reliability of the motorcycle CB 300r is far better than Duke 399 that's all.

It's not, It's higher displacement, more compression ratio in the duke, less reliable, worse build quality, the duke has 12 more HP and CB300r can keep up with it. CB300R has 12,000 k service intervals, 24 thousand valve clearance checks, cheaper to run, cheaper to service, better fuel economy, sounds better with an aftermarket exhaust. The only thing the duke 390 has better is higher HP and torque but that is only because it's higher CC and 12.7 to 1 compression ratio and the TFT. If Honda made an identical sized motor with the same compression ratio, it would destroy a 390.
Honda is a more highly engineered machine compared to the duke 390 by a long margin. Oh yeah and it looks better, duke 390 looks like an insect.
