@@marker710. I mean, that's fire for your digital instruments... But you will probably need a lot of high quality EQ work on recordings that aren't made in a professional studio. Even then, it's sometimes debatable.

Ahhhhhh HHHHAaa Good sauce Ingredients !!! I also noticed How You off Set the drum set more to the center reminds me the oldschool analog day. Setting the drum kits in the middle of all the other instruments not sure vfc really tested if theres a difference in sound
A cool tip is to gain stage on the channel mixer to get a relative volume across all tracks, then level with the faders. (The mixer faders have less resolution near the bottom making it harder to do small adjustments) great vid too dude!
Great tutorial, but I just want to point out that if you put two stereo shapers with the same settings you are just cranking up the volume, not making it wider. I know it myself because I tested it with a stereo field analyzer and it literally doesn't make it wider. I know what preset you used so the settings are the same as yours. For widening your sounds I recommend mid side eq, much better than stereo shaper from FL. Check with a correlometer (voxengo span has one) the stereo field so you don't lose any sound when playing your beat on mono. I hope my comment is useful for someone
I saw your many videos and I am still watching remaining. I must say they are super helpful and informational. Thank you bro. Keep posting. God bless you.
Back when I started watching how to making music on UA-cam they mostly would show only the bare minimum the rest I would have to figure out on my own lol this channel he get straight to the point show what you need to know and how to do it simple just repeat the process just like bro showing everyone you should be good to go you can get deeper into it really tho you shouldn't have to lol 🙏🏾👍🏾🙏🏾😊
Very helpful I usually just make the beat and it sounds good but im starting to flavor it up even more when creating something amazing. So thank you so much for all that you do because without your content I wouldn’t have been able to level up.
I used to mix only but not mastering my beat And then, I stop mixing and leave it the way it was before because I didn’t know, what I can do to boost the sound Lol
no, i never do unless its a beat i care about but i haven't made a specific video on gain staging yet so that why i didnt include it because i dont want to confuse some ppl
BroBeatzTV can you do a video about a beat you care about? So you wouldn’t recommend doing it this way than since you don’t care about this beat? Great content bro
BroBeatzTv This is soooo helpful dawg damnn thank you dawg. There is a lot I have learned form this channel and by doing soo my mixing game has become better and better hehe friends think I got my own studio ust because of the good mix I have applied. Thanks dawg once more again
Hi G! Just wanna let you know that you can side chain the Kick to the 808 in the compresor. I've lurned it on the Chuki Beats videos. It is an ameazing tip, must try 👍
Can u make a video using XLN audio drums & how you would balance “live” or acoustic drums? Thanks bro u are killing it!! Maybe make a daniel caesar or giveon or licky daye tutorial? 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Please help? So on my fruity db peak meter that I opened up in the effects slot on one of the tracks, the peak value at the top holds there for soooooo long before it drops back down. The bars themselves fall down quick but the little things that show u if u are clipping or not stay up there for soooo long and it is annoying.
Ok bro so I literally took notes in wordpad on my computer and used snipping tool to take screenshots of ur settings and everything. I turned the video into a 2 hour process. I wrote down the steps in order and then started to work on a track. Obviously my sounds were different and it was a different song but I balanced all my sounds the same way to the same levels. It all sounded good together. But when I put all my effects u had on the master track it clips for some reason by like 3 dB. It shouldn’t have done that. I literally did everything exactly the same, I followed it closely. It sounded much better with the effects but it clipped. My volumes were all the same as yours. I don’t get it. Love ur stuff. Keep it up bro
Yeah its not going to be exact, you still need to adjust your levels no matter what. Just turn your sounds down a few db until it isnt clipping but make sure you keep the same ratios
This happened because your sounds are not gain staged the same as his sounds. The volume knobs on the mixer can be the same but the db of the original sound might have way more DB than of those he has on the video.
I know this is a fairly old video but just a general question. On the master after all of the effects and such, the soft clipper of course doesn't let it go over 0 or -6 db but is it okay if the visual shows yellow instead of a solid green. I wish I could explain it better than this. I guess is it okay if when the bass and clap and kick are playing, the mixer current shows yellow instead of green? Thank you.
Yeah the hi hats do be a trouble mixing element me sometimes I never tried that lower the volume then mix the hi hats I'll try that next mix thanks much appreciated 👍🏾😊👍🏾😷
bro im still learning buh i saw some other tutorial where they gain stage all the drums at -12db and the melody and the bass @ -18db where you can get headroom ???????????
Why you mix that clap so low? I remember when Dre use to say he always made sure the clap or snare was the highest in the beat, now i don't agree today with that but still it needs to be competitive with the kick. Also you'd be surprised how much harder drums can knock by actually cutting frequencies.
Jesus Christ forgive me God ....I swear this guy .....bro I wish I was this good....I'm hre to learn at 38years of age ...but more interested in what kinda beat he made again cause it always sound dope
To be honest with you it essentially comes down to what YOU want it to sound like. 'Good' depends on the persons preference, so the better question to ask yourself when dealing with a sample is how does my sample sound in relation to the rest of my sounds. For example if you had a very bass heavy/low frequency heavy sample it could be a good idea to apply a low end EQ cut, thus to ensure your sample doesn't class with your kick, 808, and other bass heavy/low frequency sound. You should keep in mind that won't always be the case, and as everyone says the best way to get to know what you need to EQ and what you don't is to just keep making beats, slowly but surely the process of EQing will become much more intuitive
"People like to over EQ, they like to make the EQ look all cool" 😂
"Producers think they are talented, but really bro don't be doing all that" 😂 keeping it💯
Did u just like and comment on your own shit lol 🤣
Late but im one of em ong
It's funny because all you really need to do I take out the lows and boost the highs on some things

So you dont do any gain staging in the channel rack? You send your sounds full volume to the mixer?
really would like to know what the gain staging looks like before this vid 💯

Thanks a lot. This really helped me.
Do you think you need to master a beat before an artist records on it? Cuz in that case there ll be the beat master and the mix master
this may help my beats sound a lil cleaner. thank u!
Do you recommend output arcade?
Thanks bro. Exactly what I was asking for.
Much appreciation Bro FrFr... I Can Finally Use My Beats To Rap ON Lol
i hear munder on my mind drum pattern here
This tutorial real helped a lot. Thanks. Everything looked well organized.
do u touch the volume knobs in the channel rack before the faders?
Thank you this 💯
Appreciate you ty
Great video, Bro 🙏🏾💯 Thank you. Question, for kicks & 808s, you level both at -6?
how do you get the plugins to showup under the fader
I'm def going to try this. The beat I sampled on my channel sounds good n headphone but bad everywhere else..

everyone levels in mixer bruh o.O
in mixer it's exact numbers on frequencies

If it sounds good it's good 🤷🏻♂️ use your ear
If you're playing your mix in whole, yellow is fine. Red means its at or over 0db.

In the end you put an eq on the master and boosted some lows. Couldnt you just level it different?
yes but that would make it a little muddy this is def the best way i’ve seen so far
If he made it before he must ve been worried with it so doing it later good
how come you dont put your master on mono when leveling i always thought that was key
He just didn’t feel like it I guess, but it does help some people.
6:01 how do you do that?
On my laptop I just hold shift and drag side to side on the mouse. If u got a normal mouse just use the scroll wheel
ok but what does your channel rack look like not everyone has the same sounds what is normalize what sound has the velocities raised all the way up
