I really liked the first Death Stranding. Was definitely one of the most different and unique open world AAA games I've ever played. Super hyped for the sequel.
It's actualy funny how Jake has generaly 3 catchphrases in each video (as usual I'm Jake Baldino, subscribe because videogames, pizza's on me, ..) But in the end we are all waiting for our grain of salt
Jake I know february is a busy month, but any chance we can get your thoughts on Banishers on this channel when it releases. Felt like you and Mr.Matty were the only ones that gave Vampyr its proper flowers and this looks to be a much better package with 2018 GoW style combat. Keep killin it man!
I’m glad I was not the only one that felt off when I saw the SH2 gameplay. I think you nailed the pin on the head when you said that they seem to be trying to make him like Leon. I really hope this is not the case. SH2 or most SH games is a psychological horror, not an action survival horror. I’m really hoping Konami doesn’t jump on the trend of action horror and stick to its roots where they popularized the genre of psychological horror in the first place.
I commend Sony for the pc support, I’m not a console gamer, haven’t been since 2019. It’s great that these companies are atleast supporting pc and allowing us to have these great games. It’s all one step closer to a future where no matter what or where you play we all win!
Regarding ds2, did anyone else feel like there were hints to a possible coop mode? When fragile is showing Sam around the bridge, she mentions his room, and that there are others just like his, and then later on in the trailer, you see a vehicle with two seats(I know, it could just be for another npc to sit on but I think the possibility is interesting). What if this is them expanding on the weird coop thing that the first game had. Actually allowing you to interact with one another
Well the co-op better be optional if thats the case, because NOT having to deal with other players directly, was one of my favorite parts about DS1's online mode. 😅 lol I'd rather not have to deal with other players' griefing, trolling or bullsh*t thank you very much. I don't mind us helping each other build structures (like a highway system or even a city) and I like being able to share in what we've all built but... I'm really not trying to have to interact directly w/anyone else IDK.
Jake you (and GRanx) are my go to for info on games. Love your content and share such similar opinions and interests as you. Always love to hear your takes on this stuff!
No no, I think new James looks weird too. I'm super hesitant. There really is no need for this remake. Especially from a dev who has proven time and again they don't understand what makes psychological horror work
Hopefully the ammo in the Silent Hill 2 will be scarce to up the tension + difficulty factor. One of the reasons the OG was scary is how clunky the tank controls were in combat.
Death Stranding 2 looked absolutely amazing, I can't wait. Also I really wish Kojima would be making MGS V The Phantom Pain Chapter 3. Or a Metal Gear 1 and 2 remakes, combining them into a single game.
I thought it was a good show, thought Stellar Blade dragged a little bit at the beginning. I’ll probably play 6-7 of the games they announced. Silent Hill 2 Dragon’s Dogma 2 Until Dawn (just to own on PC) Rise of Ronin (if it comes to PC) Stellar Blade Death Stranding 2 I’ll prolly play Judas too
Stellar blade looks interesting if a bit generic (gives massive nier automata vibes with the "character made to eradicate their enemies" and the general post apocalypse sci-fi) but man.. Those outfits for the playable character. You can really tell it's from the devs of Nikke
I played legendary tales with my friends a couple years back and I remember liking it. I recently played it again but didn’t see too much new content so I’m not sure how to feel about it
The handgun sounded so off in SH2. I was also expecting the graphics to look better. The Leon comparison is not just you. I watching the trailer on twitch and tons of ppl that haven't played silent hill actually thought this was another RE game with Leon.
Loving the look of Stellar Blade! Not big on online stuff but Helldivers 2 looks really fun. My second eldest son and I love Dragons Dogma, so pretty keen for the second. Also cannot wait for DS2. Always up for some new Kojima stuff. Was low key hoping he was going to say his bringing Snatcher back during his announcement though hahaha In regards to SH2, it doesn’t quite look like a modern game to me. Same with the MGS3 remake. There’s something off with their models. They just don’t look right. SH2 textures for pretty much everything don’t look right either. They’re really inconsistent. It’s odd.
I think unfortunately that’s just a project that we’re just never gonna see realized. It’s a shame too cus I really think it was gonna be something special
I would just like any old run of the mill stealth game with better AI. What's frustrating with the increase of the generations in terms of horsepower, everything keeps going to graphics or devs are trying to reinvent game play styles, instead of putting more horsepower into things like environment interaction realism and AI
Life long MGS super fan. Love Kojima. Thought Death Stranding was a brilliant experience. Platinum'd the game. That being said, I'm not sure if I want another one. To me that's like wanting a sequel to 2001 Space Oddessy. Wish he would focus on different stories. Hope to be proven wrong.
If the trailer for "Silent Hill 2" is just a preview of its combat, then I am not worried, yet. I just hope that it gets improved, because it is missing a lot of weight/impact to it.
I love Death Stranding because of how... just... weird it is. When people say that all games seem the same I will forever point to DS, and now DS2, as truly unique offerings.
I think I'd have to see the finished Silent Hill 2 remake to really get it. So far this version looks kind of generic to me, but maybe it'll all come together in the end.
I really want to play rise of the ronin and Judas for sure! I have never played silent hill 2 before so I want this remake to be a good starting point to play, even if the combat looks a little jank!
The State of Play... it was cool. But I can't help but feel like I should just wait for the announced games to come to PC, to be honest. Especially games like Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin. I don't know... I'm focused on cutting down my backlog this year, as well as some Xbox exclusives and GamePass releases on Xbox... but mostly my backlog. For the PlayStation games, I will play it by ear for this year.

Stellar Blade and Last of Us 2 remastered. Also, I'm sure there'll be one for the fall before Xmas. There always is one. We didn't know Spider-Man 2 was coming until last summer.
@@SSJ2Phenom That's true about Spiderman, we'll have to wait til then.
I'm so excited for Until Dawn , More Sonic Generations and even Dragons Dogma 2! Thanks for your continued hard work Jake!
Is anyone else not able to find the friends podcast?
It's on UA-cam, the channel name is called SkillUp
The biggest takeaway I have is it reminded me how much I prefer the new style of these type of things after the Xbox showcase. A bunch of talking isn't really great for me, unless I am super into a game since it is very easy to seek that out separately if they do it.
Can't wait for Dragon's Dogma 2
Judas looks cool, will definitely play it whenever it drops. So many good looking games coming out for so many types of gameplay.
are you the same jake baldino as the skateboarder?
I really liked the first Death Stranding. Was definitely one of the most different and unique open world AAA games I've ever played. Super hyped for the sequel.
It's actualy funny how Jake has generaly 3 catchphrases in each video (as usual I'm Jake Baldino, subscribe because videogames, pizza's on me, ..)
But in the end we are all waiting for our grain of salt
Death stranding 2 is my most anticipated game. Loved the first. Silent hill tho ❤
I'm on board with another Hideo stealth game. Put it in my face. On a side note; Konami must really be kicking themselves by now.
When i have nothing to watch on UA-cam anymore, jake is always the safe option. Never got tired of it
I commend Sony for the pc support, I’m not a console gamer, haven’t been since 2019.
The Short Message is supposed to be like P.T from 2014, right? Cause that's all I kept thinking of before they even showed the Title at the end
Death Stranding was a bore. Even if you did like it, how could you jump to DS2 surpassing Metal Gear? Especially after knowing so little about it.
Silent Hill 2
Dragon’s Dogma 2
Until Dawn (just to own on PC)
Rise of Ronin (if it comes to PC)
Stellar Blade
Death Stranding 2
I’ll prolly play Judas too
Why is the gameranx voice for falcon so annoying?
No hate but the voice is like purposely annoying tho. No one agree?
Stellar blade looks interesting if a bit generic (gives massive nier automata vibes with the "character made to eradicate their enemies" and the general post apocalypse sci-fi) but man.. Those outfits for the playable character. You can really tell it's from the devs of Nikke
I played legendary tales with my friends a couple years back and I remember liking it. I recently played it again but didn’t see too much new content so I’m not sure how to feel about it
Is there any way these guy can make VR modes for these upcoming games??
The handgun sounded so off in SH2. I was also expecting the graphics to look better. The Leon comparison is not just you. I watching the trailer on twitch and tons of ppl that haven't played silent hill actually thought this was another RE game with Leon.
I'm so pumped for metro, jumping into a vr version is gunna be fun as hell.
Loving the look of Stellar Blade! Not big on online stuff but Helldivers 2 looks really fun. My second eldest son and I love Dragons Dogma, so pretty keen for the second. Also cannot wait for DS2. Always up for some new Kojima stuff. Was low key hoping he was going to say his bringing Snatcher back during his announcement though hahaha
In regards to SH2, it doesn’t quite look like a modern game to me. Same with the MGS3 remake. There’s something off with their models. They just don’t look right. SH2 textures for pretty much everything don’t look right either. They’re really inconsistent. It’s odd.
Ok, “smetal gear” earned you a thumbs up
I would have preferred if Sony had figured out a way to get Kojima and Konami back together to make silent hills
I think unfortunately that’s just a project that we’re just never gonna see realized. It’s a shame too cus I really think it was gonna be something special
@@jeremyroberts8822 You’re probably right but my heart just can’t let go 😭😅
I want him to make a Zone of the Enders game again. Make a cinematic Evangelion sim game with resource management similar to Death Stranding.
Why can't Gabe and Hideo just meet already?!
I'm happy to wait for Ken Levine project. He's earned that monikor.
I didn't expect to be excited for Stellar Blade, but the combat looks sick.
Super excited for Judas, bioshock were some of the games that really got be back into gaming. Very excited to see what’s next
My friend is insanely hyped for this, he loves metal gear, ive never played them but wheres the silent hill 2 release date 😭
Physint should be a Syphon Filter reboot with John Chacon reprising his voice role from the first 3 games.
If the trailer for "Silent Hill 2" is just a preview of its combat, then I am not worried, yet. I just hope that it gets improved, because it is missing a lot of weight/impact to it.
The sound is off too. The gunshots and hits don’t sound right there’s no oomph behind them if that makes sense lol
What game do you think should be made into a VR version that would be good
Death Stranding is one of the greatest works of art ever created and Death Stranding 2 looks like it's going to be EXACTLY what i wanted it to be
If you love the original Silent Hill and the remake looks too different and action-focused, I would highly recommend playing Signalis.
I love Death Stranding because of how... just... weird it is. When people say that all games seem the same I will forever point to DS, and now DS2, as truly unique offerings.
Amazon says it’s released on Dec. 31, ‘25

I think I'd have to see the finished Silent Hill 2 remake to really get it. So far this version looks kind of generic to me, but maybe it'll all come together in the end.
This was an awesome State of Play. The trailer for DS2 hyped me for the game. Now I HAVE to go back and actually play the OG DS.
I really want to play rise of the ronin and Judas for sure! I have never played silent hill 2 before so I want this remake to be a good starting point to play, even if the combat looks a little jank!
Glad SH2 had the combat trailer, was a concern I had regarding Blooper Team's previous games.
