Special thanks to Ableton, Keith McMillen Instruments, and Novation for their support. In the interest of full disclosure, KMI and Novation sent me some free gear recently, but they are not paying me. I'm linking to the companies and products below not because I'm contractually bound to, and not because they asked me to, but because I believe in their products and I want to. They are making the tools of our music making generation, and they are keeping them affordable and deep. Again, I'm not getting paid to say any of this. I just like their products and they deserve a serious shout out. Here's what I used in this video:

It's amazing how he can map what you FEEL when you listen to his music into both words and images with simple things like lights, flashes and .GIFs. Mind blown.

Rich Humphrey did some genius programming that allowed me to hook up a USB cable to the board and send it data from Ableton! Ableton sees the Arduino as a midi instrument. So I literally create a new midi track in Ableton Live, set the output as "Hduino" (the Ardruino board) and then i draw in some midi notes. then BAM!! the solenoids start pounding

Jack, you rawk!!! I'm thinking of setting up a Patreon account also! ;-)
And, FYI, there is a wonderful drill bit called a 'step drill' that is awesome for making holes for prototyping etc. and often much nice than using a hole saw or large drill bits.

He wanted to do it in one take. It looks more natural that way; plus, it's the principle of the thing.

I wonder if there's a way to map the projection sequences to the pad buttons, so you're controlling that as well, so the whole thing would actually be performed... I don't know anything about these pads, but it'd be really neat.

Nice Jack! Random geekoid question: I noticed you used the word "centimeter" in your description of the production. I am a US expat carpenter/handyman (and singersongwriter) living in Germany. Of course I'm married to metric now. Besides making great videos and GREAT songs and changing the face of content-provider funding, are you also gonna blaze the U.S. measure unit trail away from decrepit imperial and into perfect gorgeous metric? I wouldn't put it past you.

because you are shooting with 7 canera's it it pritty easy to redo just one bit like placing that mask.... you can just run the video and whait for the right moment and then yust putting the mask in the right way.... you can than simpely edit the good bit of footage in and no one will see it... so why dit you re shoot the intire clip over and over for just one little mistake? just my thoughts.....
