All I know is that Scott NEEDS to be the Main character, the Cap of the X-Men like in 97.
Um no. There’s more than 1 X-Man and all there stories need to be balanced. Let’s not make the Bryan Singer mistake where he basically made it a Wolverine trilogy.

I always felt like cyclops would have a major role in apocalypse and dark phoenix, but as always, he's sidelined through the rest of the movie. But at least they don't heavily focus on wolverine

Thats true, we could have a version of that, that only wolverine realises that all mutants are gone due to the scarlet witch but in this version he gave up on it so Deadpool pushes him to make a stand and get help from casandra Nova. Or something like that.

I still believe they need to do a tv series that revolves around the original 5 xmen as a charter school. It leads to giant size Xmen (1st movie).

I really just want to see the formation of the X-Men with the original 5 students all present. Angel and Iceman weren't in X-Men 97

I say jump to giant size X-Men number 1. No origins outside of conversational references needed.
We saw Archangel briefly when Morph Shape shifted into Him in The First Episode.
They've wanted to do Gambit for a while and the only reason we didn't get him is because they were so focused on Wolverine, if they do this the way you laid it out they absolutely will bring Gambit in, I think
I don't know if there's any factual basis like this in the comics, but the most obvious thing to me for keeping Magneto's origin intact and keeping the first XMEN movie in our modern day is simply say that his mutation ALSO caused him to age a lot more slowly. In fact, I'd pretty much buy that being the case for anyone having one of these level of mutations. like there can be a middle ground between "being any given mutant allows you to age more slowly than the average human" and "his specific mutation is unprecedented healing so that he ages so slowly he lives for a couple hundred years (obviously Wolverine)"
I'm not sure whether I want them to do Krakoa in the MCU or not tbh.

I agree with how the sentinels design should be, people like to “feel” safe with them looking bulky and serious to humans; but a threat to mutants. Nostalgia goes a long way.

The 97 series was so good, they have to lean into some of the potential story lines set up throughout. Peter parker's brief appearance makes me think there's scope for using Spiderman as a go between between avengers and X-Men.

That’s pretty cool Marvel is trying to get a screenwriter that has adapted Shakespeare into movies
It seems to be a trend... what with Whedon and Branagh (and a few of the actors) having done both in the past too. And most Marvel stories have a bit of the Shakespeare spirit in them
The Krakoan era has not ended yet, so definitely won’t be adapted anytime soon. It’s in the end stages, literally just a few issues left, but the “From the Ashes” era won’t begin until July.
I didn’t start reading X-Men until krakoa, and it’s where I fell in love with the characters. Which made me binge the best X-Men arcs and it gave me a bigger appreciation for this era. So good, but I don’t want an adaptation for another 5-10 years (or longer) because there’s so many great stories that should be done first.
Kitty pryde should be the entry character
I love the idea of telling the story from the perspective of questioning whether or not we should trust Charles. Like not quite a magneto level of distrust, but like more of a let’s focus on the fact that you have kids fighting your battles. I love that.
I think ultimately everything is going to be dependent on how they explain the Mutant’s absence from the MCU thus far. Once they figure out a way to do that that feels authentic, they can Segway that into whatever storyline they want to do.
With marvel taking everything much slower now, I think we're at least 10 years away from anything that would even be remotely close to setting up X-men vs Avengers
That's what you'd think but it seems they're fast tracking AvX to generate hype before Secret Wars. It may be a horrible idea but it'll come down to execution.
They can partially do it leading into Secret Wars.
I think Sinister would be the best choice because he's fairly well known at this point and hasn't been in live action yet. I think Henry Cavill would make a great choice for the role

The ideal and otm hopeful for would be Brian Cranston playing Sinister he would be so perfect.
Maybe Mr. Sinister and the humans and their sentinels for the first film, then do Apocalypse and Archangel better. Maybe then do the brotherhood blob,toad,pyro,mystique, sabertooth, juggernaut, avalanche,and Stacy x

I think the best way to do it in the mutant saga would be to start with house of M and then after that movie ends the Mutants distrust the world and are ready to stay to themselves since the world turned their back on them during house of M. Then tensions build and Avengers vs Xmen happens, and that ends with the X-men all moving to Krakoa and we get that story to end off on. Maybe even do fall of X as the Endgame of the saga

If I were in charge I would be using the X-men animated series as the framework to at least start the movie X-men with Sentinels and the Legacy virus but after that I'm not sure what direction would be good.
I want a 1-off Dark Phoenix movie, in the style of Logan that goes no holds barred on the storyline.

Only stories im truly interested in is basically getting the origins and original team in the films, as well as the next gen after originals like storm, gambit, rogue, nightcrawler, Colossus,and wolverine . Story wise ide love to see night of the sentinels, and then age of apocalypse with sinister,and archangel. Last that really needs to be done properly is Pheonix story.

idk what I'm looking for but a house of M story would be like introducing the X-Men and taking them back almost like Kevin Feige would be taunting the audience with the X-Men
Perhaps wishful thinking but I believe the multi-verse can quite easily shoe-horn a story of the Captain Britain Corps, which then ties back to Krakoa.

The X-Men movies should be the equivalent of the Avengers movies. As in, the individual characters have their own movies/sequels/trilogies and they all team up when there's a genuine threat like Apocalypse, Onslaught, etc.
Xmen 97 made me appreciate Cyclops a lot more his leadership skills and character development is relatable , even as a kid the love triangle between him , Jean and Logan is insanely entertaining.

Magneto is gonna be the MCU’s biggest hurdle really. How can he possibly still have the Holocaust backstory if the film will be set in the modern 2025-2027 age? Even if he was blipped, he’d be like in his 90s lol

Either people gotta roll with a 60 year old actor pretending to be from the holocaust or they'll update it and make it a more recent genocide or they just won't mention it directly, like they did in the original X-Men animated series.
@@pinaka5461they can make him African-American, Vietnam veteran, who went home and got discriminated against coming home from the war and his family getting lynched. Instead of Nazi we get the White hooded villains.....
But from the direction they're going so far, they MIGHT soft reset after Secret Wars and all the universes collide into one universe like in the comics. They had Miles, Ultimate Richards Reed being in the 616 universe for a while even after the other universes started to exist.
I can see the Secret Wars reboot changing the date to be in the 90s or something.
@@blowc1612making magneto a vietnam vet would be an absolute disgrace to his character. Instead of being a genocide survivor, he would've been the one doing the killing 💀. I would like to see him as a Malcolm X type figure though, that, or they just make some stuff up about how mutants age slower 🤷🏼♂️
Magneto is a mutant. Just give him a secondary mutation that makes him have longevity.
I want Cyclops to have a lot more spotlight this time and be done right.
And lean into the drama.
Given the past 50 or so years, I think its fairly safe to say that Magneto doesnt need the Holocaust backstory anymore.
Muir Island Saga has to be involved, you can a lot with the Sentinels if you parallel the stories right
The first film should be like Night of the Sentinels for sure. Choosing the robotic villains means you can spend more time developing the heroes. 2nd film should cover X-Men #1-3 (1991) with Magneto raising Asteroid M as a haven for mutants.

The story that Bendis and other writers had to make both Avengers and X-Men so out of character to justify the big fight?
It'll be just like all the other team vs team movies.. where they fight each other until the end of the film when they team up to fight a common villain.. just so neither team loses
I understand. But that just feels redundant on a macro level.

Origin Stories->Super Team up-> Super team fights each other.
I think the way to introduce X-men is through secret wars, since they're doing battle world that should be easier, but the most recent secret wars with the incursions should be the way to go.
Mr. Sinister is one of my favorite villians & for me, X-Men 97 was the first time I've actually seen him actually fight a little bit. But how everything panned out, I still feel like he gets the short end of the stick when it comes to showing the full extent of power/fighting capabilities. I'm not a Comic reader so don't bother referencing any...I want to see it on screen. Felt the same about The Evolutionary & Kang. Set-up wise, they didn't WOW me with thinking that there's so much more they can do from a physical standpoint.
Also, I want a proper adaptation in the MCU of my absolute favorite mutant Warren Worthington III. I want to see him go from the Angel to Archangel (blue skin and all) in a mini arc that's not rushed just to get him there like Age of Apocalypse did.

Why adapt the versus where Bendis and others writers made both Avengers and X-Men so out of characters just for the sake of the conflict???
You can't really think that fans of the X-Men comics want to see Charles's problematic qualities of recruiting children for war, right? I can't imagine a faster way to piss off fans. I also don't think we saw a lot of Wolverine because Jackman is a big star. That is the other way around. We saw a lot of Jackman because people like Wolverine.

I like the idea of X-Men vs Avengers, first because it ties the dark phoenix to xmen going forward, and then makes transition to Avengers and X-Men working together.

You are incorrect. Mutants should be introduced as feared and prosecuted for their uniqueness. That’s the base from which X- men operate. Krakoa, Genosha, Xavier Institute are all the response to this threat from regular humans.

I don't want to see Avengers vs X-Men because we know it's just going to be a friendly fight and not any real deaths like Civil War.
I could see them doing the recent eternals celestial x men crossover AXE judgment day storyline since they’ve not done anything with that plot thread it heavily involves starfox, the giant celestial becoming the avenger’s base then them activating it again to fight the giant creatures attacking causing everyone to be judged. It also involves apocolips who marvel has intended to be the main big bad for the x men.

Nightcrawler was the Gateway character in X-Men Evolution.
I really really want them to take a step back from Magneto. Xmen have so many fantastic villains that have not gotten a chance to shine on the big screen because every movie has been a Wolverine/Magneto/Mystique movie. All three need a big break

Gambit needs to be a main character along with rogue, Jean and Scott. Basically make the team roster the same as the 90s cartoon but swap out jubilee for nightcrawler
Why not have both? They should start off with both the blue team and gold team. Fans love taking sides. Team Blue or Team Gold? There are too many X-Men to take time to introduce them all slowly and actors will age out of their roles if they take that approach.

I'm curious what the team roster is gonna look like & who they're gonna cast (i.e. are any of the rumours/ fan casts accurate).
I want a movie where Cyclops is as awesome as he was in 97 beast and forge working on taking down sentinels and fighting intolerance and not have so much exposition where the scene tells itself through visuals and the situation
I just wish that Disney would make xmen into an hbo type series with 13 episodes a season a la “the boy” instead of trying to cram soooooooo much content into movies. Xmen is so prolific and has so much content to tap into
Mutants are long lived and neither magneto nor Charles rely on physical strength.
House of X/Powers of X is the way to go. Calling it the Krakoan storyline is really understating it. It's really Charles changing his vision from an MLK version to that of Malcolm X. That island is just the backdrop, not a main character.
And Sentinels can tie in well to Armor Wars. And bring in Nimrod.
I would love to see them do the inferno story over the course of 3 movie arch and really get into it

I am as excited about AVX than Doomsday. It was a great comic book storyline and should be one they could do straight up without having to "MCUify" it.
Anyone says anything negative about possible casting for the X-Men does not deserve to watch a second of any of it
