Probably the best short program Irina ever did. Also my fave short program of hers. Also I think artistically her best program other than "Cry of the Forest" which was just otherworldly!!!
@Nathaniel Walker Tara's artistry was far from Michelle's. Tara's flip and lutz would be called out for under rotation today. Tara's triples were cheap. Tiny, rushed jumps. Actually, Tara was overrated.
She's a two-time Olympic medalist, a two-time World Champion and a SEVEN-time European Champion (the actual record). She was regarded as a top notch technical skater and was the co-favorite for the Olympic Gold in the 01-02 season and, the Heavy favorite for the OGM in the 05-06. How come she is "so underrated"?
Sarah Hughes was so lucky to win the 2002 Olympics because the other better skaters like Michelle and Irina made mistakes. Michelle and Irina were the greatest skaters in their era.
Sarah wasn't just lucky. She delivered a solid program with a superb triple triple which was her own skill/merit. Nothing lucky about that. Personally, I think Sarah rivaled Irina in alot of ways and she was right up in the mix with them all for several years.
@@auntiechercher4266 Sarah's technique wouldn't get marks today. Sarah never did 2 triple triple combo before or after. Sarah never won any World champion or the National titles. It's a accident that Sarah won the Olympics, she was lucky because her technique was overrated
@Nathaniel Walker It does matter, a spin being centered is part of the execution. Her position was not that "difficult" either, the bent leg and unpointed foot like that is an easier position for most people than a classic layback with good back arch, leg parallel to the ice, and pointed foot. It's not as if her speed was on the level of Nathalie Krieg. Considering she traveled in two different spins, yes that does merit .1 off, otherwise how would you score someone who did better spins? She obviously doesn't deserve 6.0 start value without a Triple Axel or Triple-Triple combo.
That was the best performance I've seen by her, artistically speaking.
the position she attains on the lay back spin was gorgeous.
My favorite short program of hers.
This is actually a very beautiful piece for her.
Good speed and power, precise jumping. Irina at her best.
The speed she attacked each element with was tremendous

The speed she carried on her footwork was very impressive, especially when most of it was all done on 1 foot.
This is the perfect music for her.
clearly an outside edge on the triple flip.... three turn entrance became a rocker

That was very nice! Do You have Laetitia Hubert and Vanessa Gusmeroli SP from that Worlds!
5.6 and 5.7 for artistry was law
IRINA is so underated....

1:05 Was Michelle Kwan controlling the music chamber?
Are you lose your mind ? LOL

Громова по моему 😂
Ирина Слуцкая заразила меня быть болельщиком женского ФК . Такая обаяшка , а чертик носится на льду
Но как вам задница её?
She’s golden girl 👍 her gold was stolen ☹️
Irina’s Long Program proved she was not the golden girl😂
5.9 and 5.8 1st. Kwan 5.5 and 5.9
No way was Kwan 5.5, LOL. I'd also say 5.9 is too high on tech for Irina, she traveled during the first part of the Layback and the Combo spin.
@@rolandgreen7484 She didn't two-foot it, the free foot was just close to the ice on landing.

She could never centered her spins....
The history's most over scored skater!
