As a Warframe veteran, I could say she isn’t. Excalibur is low A tier, Mag is A tier, and Volt on the brink of S tier. Early game, she’s decent but ur too low level to increase her energy enough (as she relies on it more than any other frame), mid game u have the energy upgrades and all that stuff to make her good while the enemies are still weak. Even before the New War quest, it gets to a point where the enemies aren’t fodder any more so she just isn’t strong enough to handle them. Volt’s abilities are perfect for late game. His shock is great for stunning enemies and killing long chain of them, his speed is perfect for protecting multiple places at once and plowing through enemies with attacks going lightning fast, his shield provide insane survivability by making u immune to any ranged attacks in front of u, and his discharge is great for stunning enemies around u when u have low health, allowing for a fast escape without any worries.
@Oddgiraffe123 nah, as someone with thousands of hours, Mag is incredible. Highest damage potential of all the starters by far. You just need to know how to build her properly and she obliterates anything
The game came out in 2013ish, but had a ton of graphical overhauls since then. That's why it looks good. The game is also insanely well optimized, so it can look good AND run good on weaker machines. It's honestly a miracle they got it to work on the Switch.
Welcome to the Warframe family! And don't doubt Mag's 4th ability! That Crush does serious damage! And if you haven't gotten into the Second Dream...... your not ready yet!
The Grineers are endless, they survive, they adept and even if they are rotting soldiers, they are indeed stubborn and very clever than the corpus. They can create weapons that can be made from a junkyard and still causes trouble
It's hooked you? Here's a question...how far have you gotten? I'm curious to see if you've hit the real "hook me" moments, or if the beginning was good enough to hook you. In other words...have you done the Second Dream yet? 😊😏 And to answer your question, it started in 2013. It just turned 11 years old this March and they're currently putting out 11 year anniversary alerts for special rewards. The game barely resembles what it looked like at launch, the glow up has been insane. Both for the game itself AND the dev team behind it.
As someone that has played this game for almost 5 years I can say without a doubt that if you know how to properly mod and use Mag, she's more powerful than either Volt or Excalibur. I don't even main her or use her often but if I had to choose between the 3 it'd be her.
Ok here is whats going to happen, this video will do well because tue community around this game loves reacting to new players experiencing shit. After the thie video does well (And you like the game) you have two options, either download the hame and play through it untill the last main quest and showing your reactions, you may even stream it and turn those streams into vids as reactions, or you just go on reacting to other things...your choice but i would REALLY recommend you got with option 1, your channel will get bigger and if anything youll find a new amazing game to play and grow an audience by becoming a Warframe youtuber even if for a bit.
Actually Mag is my primary warframe right now. And I quite like her. Three out of four of her abilities are AoE. Her first ability is massive CC. She's *ALWAYS* useful no matter how hard enemies outlevel her. Because she can simply pull them all for a nice cleanup for the rest of the team. Excalibur on the other hand is great at 1v1 but sucks when enemies are far stronger, especially when he has to face many of them at once. Volt is decent against hordes of enemies, true. He's very fast and can therefore avoid taking damage. But I still prefer Mag to Volt.
ok so drazu something you said that got me thinking was about the wait times, before i would agree with you but now there is so much content to get throught that the wait times for frames and stuff dont even matter anymore because once you get all the blueprints from the shop stores and make them , atleast over half of those items are used to craft other things and ontop of that even though its not stated in the game the first 30ish hours are actually basicly tutorials so the wait time doesnt mean much in the long run because you will find yourself constantly building and fighting for more just to repeat that cycle.
I've been maining Mag since 2016; never even touched Excalibur or Volt. I'll occasionally swap her out for Frost or Oberron, but Mag is easily my fave.
Mag n Volt are really good but Excalibur carries through the first few hundred hours, def one of the most solid beginner choices. Like by the time that Volt and Mag are relevant you can just build em up in the foundry if you wanna use em.
I picked Excalibur first, didn't enjoy him, quit the game for a few months, came back, and bought Volt because I had a coupon. Finished the rest of the main story with Volt, have Volt Prime, and put the most love and work into that Frame, and have his ability strength 400%+, and I still have my original Volt frame too, as a way to thank him for bringing me back. Aside from my love of him, Volt is the one I'd recommend to new players purely because you can only get his blueprints from clan dojos while Mag and Excalibur you get from bosses, and while joining a clan may not be a big deal all the time, crafting a clan key is usually not known to do in the beginning, or sometimes they just don't want to join a clan at all at the start of the game.
Don't feel awkward; Mag's been my main for years. Excalibur and Volt are good, but they're definitely for noobs; a well modded Mag is superior to both of them.
Excalibur is the space ninja fantasy Mag is the space wizard fantasy And volt is the space speedster fantasy You'll get them all eventually And prime versions for fashion ✨️
But the fact that the crafting are built into you earning materials from having played the game and just having to grind a bit here and there, play with the crafting in mind for dozens of craftable weapons basically free from market for credits you earn already from playing just to play and story gives you plenty loot and actual other frames to check out. just keep at it Tenno and wake up from your ²nd dream
Excalibur is strongest starter. Yes sure Mag and volt are nukes. But they arent as long as you dont have mods for minmaxing. Excal is good with and without mods. I see people in comments saing that mag is strongest/one of the strongest... yea no. She has big potential but it is lesser than in other frames. And warframe stats shows that. Excal normal and umbra, and volt normal and prime are top 10 used frames. Excal has big usabili on early game and umbra on midgame. And volt has big on early and VERY big on endgame. Mag has lowest usability on early and almost none anywhere else. Even Loki prime is more used on endgame than mag. Or ash. Atlas prime is popular across the chart(only not early bc its prime). Ha or Ivara prime... Nobody think about ivara as strong pick. But people prefer her over mag. XD
As a Warframe veteran, I could say he isn’t. Mag is low A tier, Excalibur is A tier, and Volt on the brink of S tier. Early game, he’s good but eventually his abilities just become about getting enough time to run away bc u aren’t strong enough. Even before the New War quest, it gets to a point where the enemies aren’t fodder any more so he just isn’t strong enough to handle them.
There’s no need for buying stuff in this game. Everything in it is 100% free. You could buy platinum if u want but u could easily get it through trading
@@Nothing_But_A_Side_Character I never said it wasn't free I said the wait times is there way of telling you to buy platinum cuz in the time you could trade to make platinum the item would probably be finished
@@Kahneyjin-k3l a lot of games have wait times. It’s not to get u to buy platinum. The devs have confirmed that they made long wait times to tell u to go outside, touch grass, and do smth productive while u wait
It's a time gate not a pay wall there's a major difference. It's the same reason you can only do 1 MR test a day. It's ment to keep people coming back. There's an entire documentary explaining their economic model.
Lotus is Space mom to every Tenno. Also the Grineer are an endless army of clones.
Mag is one of the strongest warframes in the game
Lore or gameplay wise

i am unsure how he did not see this when it is played when you launch the game for the first time.
7 years ago, I picked Mag. ❤
Once you get the mods , mag is op as well, but excalibur is definitely the chad to start the game
I've been playing for about a decade and some change. Back in the day, my starting frame was Loki.
Also mag is borderline busted.
welcome to my world drazu, 7 year player here though been in and last few.
edit:actually 10 years but i took a break because of over working lmao

4:55 Mag is the best! but for a true begginer Excal is the best choice, but to him do even better u need to pick scana as his melee.

Hey kiddo...
This game has zero right to be free to play, man. I dropped close to 200 bucks on cosmetics just to support their work.
Awwwwwshit here we go
Watch the anime Fist of the North Star.
i picked mag she was fun. really just depends on your play style.
Nah. It was Volt for me haha
OUR girl
I picked Volt cuz I love Lightning ⚡

I never run volt or Ex / Ex Umbra unless it's Duviri. I run Mag a LOT! She fire.... especially after the reworking.

I main Mag you Excalinoob
Games like warframe are live servicr MMO's
So when the graphics being good isnt that crazy as they are updated thru the games life cycle.
As a female player, I pick mag.
