Bought this bike a few months ago and the spec on the GX factory build felt underwhelming. Mine came with a 2022 Fox X2 with cavitation issues and Knolly swapped it no charge for a 2024. The Magura mt5 levers and bleed have been nothing but trouble. Fork was a 2023 (2 releases old) that I was able to sell on PB and pick up a current gen Fox 38 Grip X2. The Spank Vibrocore AL bars are really harsh and I swapped them to OneUp carbon after one ride. The Spank grips need bar ends (which Knolly doesn't provide) and are pretty basic. The Spank wheelset is not the vibrocore version, has meh reviews. I sold on PB. The rear tire (Maxxis DHRII) split down the middle seam mid bike park run so I swapped to Conti DH casings which suit this kind of bike better. The SDG Tellis dropper felt soft and had too low travel so I swapped to a OneUp V3. If/when I buy another Knolly, it's going to frame only.
Their builds are different and the Magura brakes are hit and miss. Overall the for the price Fox Factory suspension is a win, but it does need a heavier duty casing for the rear tire. How are you liking the new Grip X2? I was surprised but it is better. Good to hear Knolly took care of the rear shock. Fox has been good about warranty on those old X2s and while they aren't "unsafe" a recall would have been nice. I'm always a fan of the OneUp stuff.
Love the look of this thing. Sick choice of components too 🔥
@@JamesRobertMTB agreed, the lines and the paint look so good!
You handled it well on the skinny, drops, and slab. 🙌🏻
Doing my best!
You mentioned the frame being made in Canada. Is that correct? I thought they moved production to Taiwan around 2013.
@@chriselnicki5223 you are correct, I misspoke.
Would love to see a review on the new Propain Spindrift CF. :D
Yeah, that new Spindrift looks like my style!
How does climbing the Chilcotin compare to the Chainsaw enduro setup?
The Chainsaw is a bit more efficient climber and the higher BB makes it easier to avoid smashing rocks on tech climbs.
@@NICADV Thanks!!! Helped me make up my mind.

For big bike rides, you should try the Canfield ONE.2.
That would be cool, I really have loved some of the Revel bikes I've tried.
@@NICADV Nothing like CBF suspension on a Freeride bike.
