Can you tune a diamond resin stone with SIC powder the same way you can with a Norton India stone? One side of my fine India has been lapped with 120grit and the other side about 400grit. Did my hard Arkie the same way. Thanks.

No, The diamond abrasive in the resin take care of the sharpening.

Resin stones are different from diamond plates...
The diamond is released as the resin is "lapped" or removed from the surface.
