Really wish you had just narrated the video. There’s way too much text to read while trying to follow along with what you’re doing with the module. I can barely get through the text before it goes off screen, let along follow any of what you’re doing. White text on a busy background is also pretty hard to read (and UA-cam compression really doesn’t do the background any favors). The zoomed window on the lights is also a bit hard to follow since it blends in with the background. A white outline would have helped, but really, the zoom is probably more confusing than helpful. Watch any DivKid video to see how to put the focus on a handful of relevant modules without the need for zoom. This is a complex module that really would benefit from a clear explanation. I’ve been on the verge of buying maybe half a dozen times, but each time the complexity turns me away. I bet Chaos isn’t nearly as hard to use as it looks at first or second glance, but it really would benefit from a clear, step by step explanation.
You are correct, I agree. The tutorial goes through everything, sure. But trying to watch what’s happening and read all the info at the same time was difficult. They needed to narrate it at the very least, and slow down in places. It’s a very deep module with many functions and this tutorial did not do it justice.
I aboslutely love my Chaos, but over the last year I found that I was not using my Chaos to its full power, or even using the chaos() function much (click the encoder). I made this handy 1-page "cheat-sheet" reference for myself and anyone else: docs.google.com/document/d/1XmaQnqgRcuo3XTHA6HyL3nnjbbSt_MqLPSVNMLCOWyY/edit?usp=sharing
my MI Marbles is looking about me from the other side of the room with genuine concern...although the two together could be really fun!
Mine just arrived after a year of waiting. It's awesome. It was a missing a panel nut. Otherwise seems like quality stuff.
can't wait until it arrives :D
What is the oscillator so the sound source from 2:50? thx
huge thank for update and this vid!
Hey! Could you tell me what's that prototypey looking mixer(?) module in the top right is? (If it's not a secret :D)
Could you add the possibility of choose different range of V like -5/+5 V so to use Chaos channels as LFO???
Damn, I want this and I need this!
Too complicated for me.. I can't remember all the functions and double presses and encoder turns with tap and/or hold...
It cannot be used as a coffee machine.
