I recently found this channel and have watched multiple videos. I love hearing these stories of forgotten hero’s! My husband was medically retired from the army in 2012 from his injuries in Iraq from 2005. He refused the Purple Heart because as he said “I saw real hero’s and I am not one”. We actually knew a guy in his unit who tried to put in for his own metals. The true hero’s didn’t want them because they didn’t do it for the glory but then others who didn’t deserve them were all about the fame and glory! He will always be my hero though because even with the daily pain he has and his PTSD he puts our special need girls first. He will drop everything and be there for a friend whose PTSD is getting the best of him! Once a army sgt always a army sgt!! Thank you for telling these stories! Being married to a military man for 18years and knowing so many who didn’t come home makes these stories even harder. I know what I endured on the other side is nothing compared to what my husband saw and did but I still have nightmares of a chaplain knocking on my door. I would have a panic attack if someone knocked on the door every time my husband deployed because I had lived on post and saw them come to a neighbors house. So glad they are not walking up to my door but then feeling horrible for being excited that it happened to someone you know! It is a humbling experience!

Thank you so much for checking us out!
Your husband sounds like a true hero and we appreciate his service.
PTS is a terrible thing to have to fight but having a supporting family can make all the difference. Thank you for your commitment as a military spouse and as a supportive wife to a veteran.
The war doesn’t end when we come home, and you’re helping to fight it on the home front.

Great story telling! It really paints a vivid picture of what happened between two hero’s who knew no bounds and would lay down their life for each other.

I agree! This is one of the best examples of brotherhood you can find. I wish the story was more well known.
