Tesla was kind enough to loan me a refresh Model S for the weekend to review and show off to y'all. Enjoy and thanks everyone.
Excellent review! I wish I had rented your Model Y a couple months ago just to show my support for you guys but my plans changed! Either way, I really think they solved a lot of the issues I had with my 2017 Model S. I really appreciate the center screen being laid out in a landscape fashion instead of the portrait, as the older model created a right corner my right knee would always hit. The seats being heated and cooled brings a more luxury and premium feel to a car that should feel like that. All in all I might think about trading in the Model Y for the Model S sometime next year!
Great review! A few things missing before I would make a move on this car. Interior ambient lighting, heads up display,massage seats, blind side monitoring and Apple carplay
I wish these were available to purchase in Right HD models again. If they were available to purchase I would have one ordered tomorrow. I love the fact they now have door bins.
The price of these used model S models have dropped a lot over the years. Good technology and upgrades even in the 2021 model refresh ones. Enjoyed watching the car review and I hope that Tesla fixes those curbed wheels or gives a massive discount for those curbed wheels.

900mile car with destroyed rims...that tells you pretty much everything you need to know about people. If they had to put down a test ride fee, that they would take back after the test ride was over, I bet the cars would return back without a scratch most of the time.
The 21s on the S are basically made of butter, I know from experience. Yeah people suck, but the cast 21s are notorious.
When clicking on the video I thought it was the model 3 refresh, I was speechless when I heard the price. Then I realized it was the S. Great video btw

"Nevada law requires most vehicles to display front and rear license plates at all times, except motorcycles and trailers, which require only a rear plate. You must display both plates if the vehicle is designed for a front plate or if the manufacturer offers an add-on bracket or frame."
Key words are "if the manufacturer offers an add-on bracket". If you do not have a bracket you can't put on a front license plate. Give the bracket back to Tesla😂 I have never had a front license plate and I have lived in Henderson since 2004 and never been stopped by the po-po for it. Now I have been stopped for other stuff, but never a front license plate😁

Matthew, thanks for a grade video. Well before I came across your channel, I ordered a Model S when Musk slashed the price in early Sept. Base price at the time was $74,900 (plus larger rims). I noticed you mentioned at the end of your video that it’s probably not the care for you since it sits lower and the price at the time was much more than my current order. If you had ordered this vehicle for $74,900 instead of the price at the time you demoed it, would that have changed your opinion re value? Also, I just got a last minute notice from Tesla that they had “changed” my order to no longer include ultrasonic sensors. I’ve seen UA-camrs’ reviews of Model 3 with and without those sensors and they are NOT fans of the removal of them after comparing them in real life. Appreciate all your thoughts!
Thank you for the kind words. So my opinion hasn’t changed. I’d rather spend $5k more and get an X. And yeah I’m not a fan of so sensors. My Y has them and I love how accurate they are.

Are these new long range model s's faster than the p100d?
No they’re slower but have way more range.
@@MattWallaceTech cuz I've seen a long range do a 10.8 on the quarter mile.
@@tedahwooga oh don’t get me wrong they’re super quick especially for a sedan.
Not as quick to 60 mph as pre-refresh Performance model, but quite a bit quicker to 100+ mph
tesla should record that electric motors sounds when accelerating and use it to "emulate engine sound" trough some option.

Goodluck. The value on these doesn't really depreciate. If anything, if kept in good condition, they appreciate unbelievably.

Very cheap looking construction inside and out. Insanely overpriced. My 1998 Cadillac is nicer than this. So is my 2022 Lexus ES

At least I can drive more than an hour without having to wait 45 minutes for a charge. Technology will improve a time, but we're not there yet. As of right now electric cars are crap.@@smartelectriccar

Okay that's quite the reach with "My 1998 Cadillac is nicer than this." I'll agree with the Lexus ES interior. I like Tesla but the minimalistic interior doesn't really work for me. The ES looks vastly cooler.
