Looks like 20 bucks will put this blade in your pocket. Gotta admit that pocket clip adds a welcome flair to a ultra budget knife. Decent knife for the glove box, tool box, utility drawer, wherever.
Been interested in a couple FreeTigers to use as work knives, but haven’t pulled the trigger. This one seems pretty decent. I also like the Shirogorov vibes I’m seeing here. Might have to give it a try. For the price, worst case it’ll just be a beater knife

I got a very similar one in 3.75inch "D2" and FRN handles from a completely different name company a while back. But the blade was definitely NOT D2 - probably 8CR or 420 / 440A. $30Aussie dollars - around $20 USD. All the different companies make slight variations on the blade grind / handle material etc. A clear Shiro copy, but NGL I was really impressed with the build and action. They aren't going to expand on such knives though - most fans will pick that they are actually clones, not matter how good they are. Depends what your philosophy is on the clone knives / copies / intellectual property issue.
If a false company tries to say it's the main company that's wrong for sure or if something is insanely blatant - Like the Nymble from EMPEDC, really unique with the shape of the cutout. Nobody has done that but them and there's blatant copies of it

Good review. Won't buy 420 steel, although, I did buy a Buck fixed blade in 420HC...
I'd say depending on price 440 is a good user steel for 20-25 im cool with it. Especially if it's done right 👍🏻
