I went with the Hobbywing 10bl120 combo with the 3652 4000kv motor. Fit perfectly, but only at an angle. But no modifications required. 2-3S capable, and I use a Dumbo RC X6 with a gyro. Great system. I wish I would have waited on the 223S though
@@Hungrybird474 I don't mind the 2 in 1. I don't have an issue buying another Dumbo X6 for whatever project I have in the future. But yeah the Hobbywing system is better than spektrum anyway. So I'm happy with my build. But it was $120 more than the 223S lol
You must not have heard of the "Gorgon Notch." Cut that chassis a bit for those motor wires. Doesn't affect rigidity at all. We been eyeing the Furry as we've been crazy about the platform with our Gorgon (brushless convert). Great video, guys. You got the best RC channel in the Midwest. Ope!
You should've checked out one of the 50 some videos of people doing this to their Fury's before getting that motor lol. You just need the slightly longer can and it fits perfectly! I put the Dynamite system straight out of my Losi Tenacity right into my Fury in about 30 min and it totally rips! They really are one of the absolute best short course trucks once you swap em over. So glad you guys decided to do it, I spent the entire first video you made of it wishing you tried it after the swap. It will take way more with absolutely zero issues, I'm running a 17 tooth pinion in mine at the moment. I run mine more than my Pro4, or my Senton BLX. Throw a 4s in it for the next video!!! Love the channel!!!
@10thScaleGarage it's surprisingly stable and predictable even with loads of power. I don't run a gyro in mine and with the exception of some occasional snap oversteer on damp pavement it behaves so good, even under high speed braking. I'd lol ke to see a race against the fury, slash 2wd and Associated Sc10 2, I think the Fury would surprise a lot of people.
I'm running a Spektrum 3660 ,3800kv motor, and firma 130 esc, 15 tooth pinion, Gpm cooling fan, gorgon receiver box, and Dumborc transmitter and receiver with gyro!
For a couple of “face for radio” fellas you guys are pretty damn good at making an entertaining video!!! 👍. Caught that F bomb right at the end naughty naughty….. 😘
back in the day on my gold pan i put long screws from the inside of the motor mount that stuck out. then you just put some fuel tubing over those screws to hold the cover one. super easy to change/check gearing/mesh! also, 3660 can motor is needed in this platform, fwiw.
I love my Radiolink it's my kit build radio just add receiver. Decent functions, decent range, decent price. But how big of a pain was it to paint? That transmitter looks dope! Way fresher than grey or silver. Did you just mask it off or take it apart and do it proper?
2:37. Dang it my guys do you not read my comment from the last video? I told you you need a 3660 length motor. Anything 50 mm or 40 is it long enough. Still watching a video but now you have to get that hot racing motor spacer. I guess you live and you learn.
Mannnnnnnn, must’ve missed that one. We put two of these systems in the Clawback and we’re pretty impressed with them…. I thought they were longer and I didn’t have that issue when I brushless swapped my Granate voltage back in the day….. different chassis but similar. My bad dude. Maybe I’ll learn one day. Haha.
@@Sigma77-n2u the point is way less weight and an almost perfect center of gravity. The truck handles fantastic at high speeds. I have both trucks and the Fury is way more fun to run than my Senton, and I love my Senton.

I did the same. I haven't tried 4s yet, but it'll take it. I added the fan and a full 3s pack stays totally cool
Nah , you’re all set with what you like and don’t have that stupid 2 in 1 esc
@@jboulderct yeah it loves 3S. I still need to add a fan, but it's good other than that

Brushless one is so cheap so buy that straight away is the best choice

Yeah just used the gear from a Senton 3s BLX system. 😁
Absolutely. I think I might even prefer the fury over the Senton
@@10thScaleGarage Thats why i did it brother. 🙂

3660 size motors fit perfect. But I agree this is a really fun truck with more power.

Nice ! I’m running a similar set up on a granite . Great on 4s but started in 3s and it s good either way . Sometimes I want more 👍
Lol how high and/or drunk were you building this?! I approve.
You can just dremel a small piece out of the chassis to fit the smaller cans LOL
I got my the day the brushless one came out lol! Haven't even played with it yet
I did that same thing with the grommet removal, works great!

What’s called again , underhand compliments 😅
Like saying can’t believe unattractive actors this good 😂
Dam you guys fast 💨
Wasn’t insulting you guys , just a metaphor , we’re no brad pitts right . Guys do make good videos for regular guys

I'd go with a roller and build my own. Maybe they'll release that one next month.. 😒
Haha. Probably
@@10thScaleGarage Damn shame how they did us like that. Glad you got yours to your liking though
I’ve picked up the 2 to 3s version of eBay and of all the upcoming editions I’m making I think drive train and the esc
Nice very cool upgrades...
Thanks 👍

At $90 no reason not to get a g2 hobbywing setup
Literally have one in stock, but saving it for another project.
I got one for $82 recently. Definitely worth the extra cash over a Surpass system.
@FeralRC we have them in kyosho fz02 chassis and they rip
I have used/abused the heck outta my Radiolink.
I don’t know why I don’t use it more. It’s a solid radio.
@@10thScaleGarage Receivers are cheap and tiny too. Great for the more scale builds I have done on my channel.
Why wouldn't you modify the chassis or getting a longer can motor, before modifying the budget motor? Makes no sense
Don’t like the skinny thin body what’s the point . Rather get a senton
