    Lots of nice trucks that don't get driven, but I can appreciate the time, money, and dedication to build these machines.

    Nice to see a video that the person actually shows the suspensions and lifts installed. Great Job !!! Even if all of them are princess trucks that have never seen the dirt.

    Dell there's a orange tundra from oracle lighting. These are show trucks that are built by truck shops to show the quality and customization they offer. Extreme Offroad from Tx build amazing trucks and trust me they do have other trucks for mud, jumping, work horse etc. Different strokes for different folks. I think all the trucks in this video are beautiful and the work gone into them I respect. For the ppl that hate on the builds I bet don't understand the intelligence its takes to build a truck. Steering geometry, suspension dampening, compression, rebound at high and low speed, gearing. The list goes on.

    all these people posting "Lets see if off road" comments. Shit if you spend 120k+ on a truck. Id bet your ass wouldnt be taking it off road. Great trucks!

      definitely feel the same way.

    • @Jangocat
      @Jangocat 10 років тому

      If they spent 120k they are straight up morons who paid someone else to do all their work. None of those trucks cost more then 70k for someone to build from scratch starting with a new truck if they did the work themselves.

    • @TheMystickarow
      @TheMystickarow 10 років тому

      Jangocat your point? Its their choice to build show trucks now mud trucks. if they wanted to mud in the they would throw some 5 tons under them, a lift, and some boggers or tractor tires on them. dont hate because u cant afford a truck like that. and btw these trucks are 40-60k brand new. so if i buy a 60k truck i can put 10k into it and have this kind of truck? doubt it.

    • @Jangocat
      @Jangocat 10 років тому

      My point? People used to build functional 4x4 show trucks. The only thing they are showing is extraordinarily bad taste. These vehicles are the truck equivalent of donks. I wouldn't want a ghetto truck like that if you gave it to me.

    I can't believe I watched that whole video and there wasn't a single Toyota. Wow people are wasting some serious money. My Ford didn't make it 60,000 miles without blowing the engine twice and several transmissions and the whole driveline fell out and on and on with issues. My last Toyota Tundra I sold at 215,000 miles without troubles. My current one is at 125,000. I can't believe I fixed up my F350 like that just to have it not last for diddly. Ug!! Never buy anything but Toyota. That's your tip for the day.

    • @DellSchanze
      @DellSchanze 10 років тому +1

      I had the 6.5L F350. From what I understand that was the worst truck Ford ever made.

    • @DellSchanze
      @DellSchanze 10 років тому

      Then what were the options back in 2003? There was a 7.3L or something and then a 6.5L or 6 something. I spent a huge pile of money fixing it up like what you see in these pictures. I put $7000 just in to the transmission after it blew up several times. I have 40 inch MTRs on it and even air lockers with 8 million candle power spotlights. It was cool looking. Very bummed as it was a total waste of money. Had I built up a Toyota I would probably still have it to this day.

    • @DellSchanze
      @DellSchanze 10 років тому +1

      Someone forgetting the exact CC of the motor doesn't mean they are lying. I have pictures of it. It is really a bummer because I spent a ton fixing it up just to have it fail over and over. No way will I buy another Ford. Neither will I buy a Chevy since all those that I had needed major work by 120,000 miles and their value just tanked horribly. Toyota is the tip for the day for anyone that wants the very best value and quality.

  • @BillDozer316
    @BillDozer316 10 років тому +3

    I will never understand these trucks. Why spend 50-60k on truck, 30k+ on upgrades, to trailer it around, and move it about 50 yards to where its going sit in one place all day. And you think im jealous, youre god damn right. I wish i had that kind if money to spend on a truck i would use every day. These trucks are literally useless. Bet those off-road tires grip your cement garage real nice!

    Beautiful trucks with amazing attention to detail. Clearly of course none of these are meant for daily abuse(mudding,rock crawling,running through dirt trails,towing and hauling).But they do give us a lot of great ideas for modding our trucks and that's what these SEMA shows are all about really,this is one of the best ways to really get really good info on what the latest products are out there and they show it off this way because it gets ATTENTION and that's how a lot of their businesses grow so big and fast. That's why I believe they are never really driven the way they look.

I can say that they have little dicks if I want. But I love lifted trucks, just not to this extent where they become something that doesn't see dirt. I have the right to my opinion and I know you do to, even though telling me I have no money and a little dick isn't an opinion at all, it's being an asshole.

    I know I'll get some haters for this, but I think the majority of people will agree when I say what a huge waste of time and money. Yes these trucks look awesome and are great show pieces, but that is all they are. I bet 90% or more shown have never been off road and never will be. I absolutely cant stand and can not see any point of any of it. If you want something to show off all shiny and chromed up and nice paint jobs get a classic car and do it up. I could take the money spent on the rims alone and do everything I'd want to do to my truck to make it more off road worthy. I could vent on this for an hour or more!

      Toyota has a really bad frame rust problem, don't get me wrong, I love Toyota, their engines are bullet prove. Toyota also have a lot of problems with their rear differential.
      Only Good Toyota are from 90s and down to the 70s when Yamaha used to build their engine heads and parts.

    • @ubacow7109
      @ubacow7109 10 років тому

      Yamaha still builds parts for Toyota. FR-S and LFA and a number of their other sportier cars are built using Yamaha parts. Their rear diff problems have been corrected years ago and it wasn't on the tundra. The only real issue I've heard quite a few people talk about is transmission on the Tundra. Im not really all that concerned about it because its something that gets updated almost annually on almost all cars the problem might not even exist anymore now. But to be honest I'm actually waiting on the update for the Ridgeline on the next 2 years when its re-released. Toyota really needs to work on their efficiency on the Tundra tho, its pretty behind on the power spectrum and economy.

      I bet you drive a Prius. size has absolutely nothing to do with it. most 18 wheeler's are more efficient then you think. and the whole Prius rant wasn't meant to be an insult, it's just that if you knew anything about the Prius, they're doing more harm that any other vehicle. the batteries in those take up so much energy to create (and to destroy) along with the power plants that create 88.6% ( 44.9% coal, 23.4% Nat.gas, 20.3% Nuclear ) of our energy to charge the damn things if everyone drove a Prius the world WOULD end sooner.
      Back on topic, though.
      my STOCK 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee (almost a soccer mom car) get's between 9-11 city and 14-18 HWY yet my friends 08 LIFTED F-250 (same truck your talking about, but without the 15,000 lb topper) get's the same thing. But, my neighbor who owns a cattle farm has a few tractor trailers that get about 15 city and 30 HWY. so to end my rant, it could possibly be an ecoboost diesel truck with a chip on it clearly giving it 15+ mpg for an off-road survival truck, that's pretty good IMO... the off road trucks you see in the suggested list are most likely pushing 6 mpg...HWY!
      I'm not trying to drive you up a wall and piss you off, i just want you to know that the trucks size and weight have nothing to do with efficiency.

      Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen lol I also drive a pickup, I just thought it was funny. The two biggest contributors to poor gas mileage are the vehicle's weight and shape. I don't really think there is any denying that. So it was pretty funny when I saw a vehicle that clearly looked like it weighed 10 tons in the shape of a brick and called an "EcoTrek".

    What kind of paint is it on the fender flares on the ford @07:58? The sand paper looking black paint.

      I may be wrong, but i doubt that's paint, that's just the material but it may have a certain coating of paint on it.

      I'm pretty sure it's actually bed liner giving it that rough look but will also prevent rusting.

    Laughing at all the fords because they're cheaper and easier to lift because of their solid front axles. Get some duramax's out there and then they'll be a show.

      me ither too costly and too much to brake and with all the long thin support bars i seen under most of these trucks most would not survive the transition from concrete to gravel
