I saw him live as someone's support act in a crappy pub and honestly I was blown away. He was better than the main event and I have never forgotten and have followed his career ever since. His voice is a gift that must be shared.

Wow this is one of the best performances Michael has done. Vocally incredible, lyrics are moving and the song is dynamic and touching. Wow is not descriptive enough. This performer is becoming an complete artist. More of this please.

He is phenomenal and always note perfect. I love that you are highlighting his talents and introducing them to an wider audience as he deserves. He has the perfect voice for a movie soundtrack or Disney character. Michael played with Icehouse on the weekend as sounded just as incredible x

When you hear him sing in real life, there is nothing else on earth that can top him!! First time I heard him he was the support act for Seal. I didn’t want Seal to come on! I can (have, and do) listen to Paynter all day! Heavenly voice!! 💕
Same Suzy ! I was only lucky enough to hear him live once (West Oz... like another dimension hahaha) He is just superb and one of the nicest guys on this planet. I caught him at one of our Telethons (back when he had just released Closer...so early MP )

Another amazing Australian singer. Believe it or not, he only made it into the top 16 on the Voice Australia, which I stopped watching after he was let go.
I don’t think his mentor did him any favours with song choices! ☹️
@@jeaneeem thanks for that, I honestly can't remember the songs he sang, but I do remember thinking he sang better than most of the other contestants, and I was very disappointed when he left.

Same Jenny... I'm glad in one way that he didn't win and get tied into one of their dodgy contracts for years though....he's way too good (and too nice !) for that... one of my all time faves of MP is him singing Oh Holy Night (Carols at Docklands) ... just magic
This guy was best from Australian voice but the judges are idiots. None of the winners have actually gone on to do anything while Michael sang for Ice House
