Thank you for all the details. You create very very good content! Cool mixture of information, examples and your time on the street! Thankfull that I've found your channel, with my thoughts about getting a GRIII ........
I just got my 3x few weeks back and I love the soft monochrome and vivid settings, all so for the HDR setting I find it can be used to make a almost cartoon type photo when edited a bit I have a few I played with , especially when you catch some one using their hands and it make a blur you can make it look trippy 👍 nice content btw
Just discover your channel, and I really loved how you create this video. I own a GR III and your video contributes to understand the simulations, specially because all of them were shown in the same light conditions. I think ricoh nailed it with the vivid simulation, which makes cloudy days shine and sunny days will have a really film look when overexposed a little. My favorite is positive film with some tweaks and then just a color modification to yellows (they look very dull in the default positive simulation to my taste).
Thank you very much for your positive feedback on the video. I’m glad you like the simulations as much as me. It’s great to tweak them to your taste. I’ve got to get back into using the simulations. It’s been a while. Cheers, my friend. 👍
@@joeredski although I have to say that I'm more a raw guy, but I never shoot without having recipes applied. That way, I get more motivated to shoot and more focused to the mission of the day, because they provide kind of a preview of how the raw will look after editing it. Great channel!
Coming from Fuji I have been quite spoiled with recipes. None of the colour recipes did an awful lot for me, if I'm honest. That said, the High Contrast B&W definitely gets my vote. I am currently looking at getting a Ricoh GRiii so this video came in very useful. Thank you.
To be honest I never liked the JPEGs from the gr3x I prefer to process the dngs and use a Velvia profile (adjusted to my taste) in post processing. All the best AK.
Thank you for the comment. I kind of agree. On a bunch of the colour recipes I actually preferred my own edits. I do like the black and white simulations though. I think you have your adjust them in camera to get the most out of them. All the best.

That sounds like a good way to use HDR tone. Thank you for your comment and enjoy the camera.
