@@TheKurtkapan34I wish that was the case with the Finnish version😭🙏 I watched it in Finnish and it was so bad. They even had a different person singing it. I guess the voice actor couldn't sing
@@snowy_gateaway7583In Polish sadly the same case. It's just a random singer, not even close to the Polish Heimer voice (which in the series has the same actor from the game, and he definitely delivers both in game and Arcane). So it's more like a song sung in the background. I was truly hoping to see the actor sing it too.
Extra props to Mick Wingert for singing so beautifully and expressively while still keeping his "character" voice so distinct. Not always an easy task, especially for characters with more "nasal" voices like Heimerdinger!
This song completes Heimerdinger's arc. He became so indifferent to the world and effectively abandoned what it means to BE a Yordle in order to become the Grandfather of Piltover. He abandoned the sense of whimsy and wonder his people are known for and became focused on innovation. He failed Jayce by not being there for him, but he didn't make that mistake with Ekko. He once again began to connect with people, with nature and life on the ground, rather than living above it in a literal ivory tower, and gave his life to give the same chance to his original timeline. He became a Yordle again.
I just wish we'd gotten more time with Ekko and Heimerdinger in the show. They both had very significant arcs and roles to play in the story but it felt more like we jumped to the important moments rather than actually sitting with them like the other characters.
@thatpunkcatte the arcane director said he'd like to make a more lighthearted whimsical LoL show. So I wonder if that could be a yordle show where they show Heimerdinger lives in some way and build off that.

And as things got darker and darker as the show went on, he remained exactly the same. The show also makes a point to demonstrate that he isn't blameless, though - nobody in Arcane is. While Jayce's coup against him was mostly to serve his own goals of saving Viktor, he was right in that in the millenia that heimerdinger has been alive he has done nothing to address the suffering in the undercity and the growing divide between Zaun and Piltover because he simply thinks and acts on an incomprehensibly slow scale. He was always right, but he lacked the will to actually really do anything, he was too passive. But this episode shows him learning from his past mistakes. “Besides, what’s the point of a device like this if you don’t enjoy the time you have?” That is probably my favorite line in the entirety of this show. The layers to it’s meaning…
One of my favorite episodes. Both minor characters but this episode really highlights them and their arcs incredibly. Not perfectly, but incredibly nonetheless.
“Keep marchin’ on, my friends.” I’d like to think this not only alludes to those in Piltover and Zaun, but also his friends in Bandle City - specifically, those like Tristana and Teemo. I feel that maybe Heimerdinger’s sacrifice wasn’t just to save Ekko. He 100% fully realized that he became out of touch with the little things in life after living in his ivory tower for so long…and as Yordles return to Bandle City when they “die”, I think he felt maybe it was time to return home.
It's a very beautiful thought, at the least. After so many years spent lost in the big picture, he gets another chance to remember the small pleasures that make life worth living.
The bandle city never left Heimerdinger. Even tough he started his foundation as the father of piltover, he is still a yordle, looking to explore the world and make good experiences. You could argue that teemo helped him by creating the scouts code, and pushed the bar for yordles to explore runeterra.
Between the soulful vocals, acoustic guitar plucking, and harmonica riffs, the whole song feels like an homage to Bob Dylan's classic The Times They Are a-Changin'. So relevant given the nature of the episode. It's all so clever!
When I first heard the song, I started crying; the lyrics were so meaningful... they touched my heart. Arcane is an incredible creation. Heimerdinger, master, I love you!
206 is already a straight jab to the heart 207 shatter it completely 208 picking up the pieces 209 total mental breakdown after seeing ekko on the rooftop alone with a side hairbun.
This song so perfectly captures what Arcane is all about. We all make our decisions, and whatever happens, for good or ill, is out of our hands. But even when it all goes wrong, we should never give up. We go with the flow and do what we can for the people we love. It's never too late to turn things around and try again until our final moments.
After watching this show, it tells me that I need to cherish those moments of peace and reunion with those I love, because I never know what the hell might happen.
Just wanted to say thank you to the creators of this song even if they probably wont see it. Im in a rough place at the moment and even if only for a short while it lets me forget my worries. Its such a reassuring and calming song. So thank you very much ❤❤
I don't what it is, if it is the melody, the lyrics, the singing, or all of it combined, but damn.... Makes me cry almost eveytime. Well played Riot, well played
this song broke me. it's so bittersweet. the way it came in from the left in Ep 7, it just cut through all apathy and depression and let me feel like I wasn't able to feel in years. I'm crying listening to it several times over. thank you, Alex!
Didn't realize it was Heimerdinger singing until the camera was on him lmao, you magnificent little thing, this episode is definitely my favorite out of act 3 or maybe even the whole season.
I like that he traveled a few years before Ekko, and it's hinted that he was able to correct a regret he had in his timeline - he could help Zaun when they needed him. When he was on the council, by the time he was aware that he could help, it was already too late. By traveling five years in the past, he was able to develop technology to help the undercity of Piltover, and likely encouraged Powder, Ekko, and Claggor (if indirectly) to nurture their inventive talents and have the inventors fair, and probably worked behind the scenes to nurture friendlier relationships between the two cities. He was given a second chance to do things right, and he did it.
Mick is such a talented VA, from me first hearing him as Il Dottore in genshin impact and then getting to follow him out to this role is such a journey and I've really grown to love his performances. I have his autograph and it's one of the best things I've ever owned.
Haven’t watched Act 3 yet, but this song gives me vibes that Heimerdinger is singing songs in Arcane world and being friends with hex-monsters, while Jayce got crazy😂😂😂
"What's the point of a machine like this, if you don't enjoy the time you have." Man, Heimer's mini arc was so good! To take it back and enjoy life, use your imagination, instead of just aiming for steady progress at all times. Ekko taught him what it meant to truly live and in turn that saved him. For as little time as he had, he's pretty wonderful. Even with the added content from his and Ekko's wild rift event!
Heimerdinger is one of my favourite character in Arcane. And episode 7 really broke me when FIRST i Heard this song and now after that one scene that i won’t be spoiling here. He is like this a little crazy uncle who you just want to spend time. Ehhh. Profesor you proved yourself.

He spent a lot of time in this paradise.
EDIT: Thank you for the clarification :)
I'm pretty sure he had a BIG hand in making it the paradise that it was in those 4 years.
@@Keiuran I'm sure he used a lot of what he learned from Ekko to achieve it too.
I thought it was over a 1000
@@uprising7416 days
And he gave it all up without a thought just to give ekko another chance
i cannot strss enough how this show is an absolute masterpiece. From start to finish. Magnum Opus of humanity. Please never try to rush any future projects for money. Please.
For people who dont know : Heimerdinger is a yordle and they cant die. He just respawned in the bandle city
To be fair, we never rly learned how that worked. I trust he went back to bandle city, but is he the same? He might have just become another version of himself or something.
@@chadowsrikatemo4494 same. but i doubt he will return soon. my boy needs some rest
We never know what happened in that scene. Either he got TPed along Ekko, his physical body got burned or whatever it is
So u tellin me sata..ehrm teemo is immortal?
@wallyspencer3253 yup
This is giving crazy “the times are a-changin” by bob dylan vibes and i love it
Thank god I'm not the only one who heard that.
Heimer dropped his sickest single before returning back to Bandle city😭😭😭
I wanna know if he went back to that timeline's Bandle City or their own one.
Also what about Smeech? Pretty sure Sevika "killed" him but could he not just come back and rule his gang again? Lol, Yordles are weird!
@@OneWingedRose isn't Heimer's consciousness the one who got transferred to this reality like Ekko?
Can you explain us how our Heimer mind which was in another timeline Heimer body can return to our Bandle City or if Heimer revive in Bandle City will it be our Heimer or both Heimer mind will collapse and destroy Heimer mind?

“Besides, what’s the point of a device like this if you don’t enjoy the time you have?” That is probably my favorite line in the entirety of this show. The layers to it’s meaning…
Ok Haimerdinger having god damn country song and Ekko Powder being multiverse cannon wasnt on my arcane bingo card
I had stumbled onto some leaks but I was like neaaaaaah, this some stupid fanfic ... now I'm sad T_T
Never let them know your next move
It's more bluegrass really
One of my favorite episodes. Both minor characters but this episode really highlights them and their arcs incredibly. Not perfectly, but incredibly nonetheless.
country?!! this is as folk as it gets
“Keep marchin’ on, my friends.”
I’d like to think this not only alludes to those in Piltover and Zaun, but also his friends in Bandle City - specifically, those like Tristana and Teemo.
Uncle Iroh Heimerdinger arc?
This song will heal generations
We need it after season 2
@@alterdom We need him after season 2 :c
so true !
Idk why but 0:40 felt like I was ascending up in the air, why does it sound so good?
It really does sound so good 😭💙💜
Bro I did. I need help I can’t fucking get down!
The bandle city never left Heimerdinger. Even tough he started his foundation as the father of piltover, he is still a yordle, looking to explore the world and make good experiences. You could argue that teemo helped him by creating the scouts code, and pushed the bar for yordles to explore runeterra.
I just realized this is literally Dinger's camp fire song and now I'm imagining him, Teemo and Tristana making the Bandle Scouts together ❤
@@OccuredJakub12 now I want a show about the yordles of bandle city.
And as a Yordle, he returned to the Bandle City where he was resurrected.
Never underestimate the power of the scout's code *starts blasting "Astro Teemo"*
This song has no business being this good.
Nothing but respect to Mick for voicing the character and singing such a great song
really incredible voice acting being able to sing a song in a character's voice
He crushed this.
Beautiful and perfect
I was so enthralled in the visuals of Jayce and Ekko that I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was Heimerdinger singing this song!
Jaw dropped when I found out that Heimerdinger sang the song (in universe at least) xD
This was literally the best world for him, just busking and enjoying the peace.
After finishing season 2, I need this song right now. Somehow Heimers nasally voice and the folksy banjo is all I needed in life.
fucking yes
hes literally arcane bob dylan xd
Perfect song for a road trip to return home too.
It's giving country roads vibes.
Facts
I'm actually sobbing after knowing which part of the ep this song plays in..
206 is already a straight jab to the heart
207 shatter it completely
208 picking up the pieces
209 total mental breakdown after seeing ekko on the rooftop alone with a side hairbun.
What a poetic way to outline Ekko's experience of the entire episode and beyond. I am in awe.
This song so perfectly captures what Arcane is all about. We all make our decisions, and whatever happens, for good or ill, is out of our hands. But even when it all goes wrong, we should never give up. We go with the flow and do what we can for the people we love. It's never too late to turn things around and try again until our final moments.
thank you for this beautiful comment.
❤
After watching this show, it tells me that I need to cherish those moments of peace and reunion with those I love, because I never know what the hell might happen.
Well, WW3 is right around the corner

Anyone else feel like giving the entire show a hug for no reason😂❤?!
I have this thought, I you watch the entire show without at least be moved a little in your heart, are you truly alive?
Mick is such a talented VA, from me first hearing him as Il Dottore in genshin impact and then getting to follow him out to this role is such a journey and I've really grown to love his performances. I have his autograph and it's one of the best things I've ever owned.
Ekko dreaming about Powder, the Donger chilling. Meanwhile Jayce saw some real shit in the Arcane
I don’t think it was a dream, we can see this timeline still exists after Ekko leaves

There’s such a sweet sorrow in this song it truly heals and hurts all at once
Hearing this song in the episode made me feel nostalgia for both good past memories with loved ones and for a place that doesn't exist.
2:16 "My friend... UH."
This is a song that my father would definitely listen and vibe too. Miss you pops, you could've like watching arcane with me.
"What's the point of a machine like this, if you don't enjoy the time you have."
Man, Heimer's mini arc was so good! To take it back and enjoy life, use your imagination, instead of just aiming for steady progress at all times. Ekko taught him what it meant to truly live and in turn that saved him. For as little time as he had, he's pretty wonderful. Even with the added content from his and Ekko's wild rift event!
It's sad that Arcane has came to an end.
But it has given us all an important lesson to take, I wish everyone the best in life.
Best song out of the whole Arcane show.
Yeah, having a Yordle singing is god tier.

Heimerdinger is one of my favourite character in Arcane. And episode 7 really broke me when FIRST i Heard this song and now after that one scene that i won’t be spoiling here. He is like this a little crazy uncle who you just want to spend time. Ehhh. Profesor you proved yourself.
Heime WHO? xD
Heimerdinger was my favorite character, and honestly one of the few I was sure WOULDN'T die in the final act. Dude was a legend through and through.
@@mikeybennett1904 he went out with smile and elegance. Like I also didn't thought that he will die. But when he did I was like. You little yordle.

Thank you Riot. Thank you Fortiche. Thank you fandom.

Jayce and Viktor (and by extent Heimerdinger) are probably out there with time shenanigans, Jinx most likely escaped since we saw a hint with those blueprints Cait was reading.

so unexpected, and from heimerdinger even T_T
Arcanes music did it again. Im sitting here teary and thinking about life again. Love it.
My friends, my brothers, my sisters, it's been a true journey with you all to watch this series. A toast! For Arcane! Hope to see you all on another series !
Ekko got sent to Life is Strange dancing with his high school sweetheart while Jayce got stuck in Caelid with a broken leg. This episode was the best episode of anything I've ever seen.
every song in arcane is a banger. but this one will be the one that makes me cry in three years when i think about how much i loved and will always love arcane. thank you, everyone that ever touched this show, because you've taken part in one of the most beautiful things i've ever experienced.
I just love how arcane is full of references... I'm not a big fan of his but this is so Bob Dylan ❤️
"He vivido por miles de años, pero debo decir que desde que te conocí muchacho, empecé a vivir realmente" Definitivamente es todo un artista el Jaime Enrique, tremendo personaje en esta temporada.
the hardest part is realizing that this song is literally heimer saying goodbye and telling him to stay strong, the words are advice and woes as he sings to ekko specifically out of everyone in the crowd
Fun Fact: aparently each dubber from each dub sings the song, like in the portuguese brazilian dub, the dubber sings in it's respective language
this show, its creators, writers, artists, music composers, voice actors and everyone involved, they have truly left their mark in History with with this truly beautiful series. may they all live long, prosper and bask the light of their great achievements. ameen
This was so beautiful, the journey of watching this show and watching these characters grow... There will never be a show like Arcane, and I'm glad that i got to experience it along with everyone else who watched.
Wasn’t expecting a twangy ballad in the middle of arcane but so glad it’s here to give a moments reprieve from the weight of everything else
I have such an insane respect for Mick Wingert after I saw this scene. The amount of raw talent it takes to sing as a character whose voice is very different from your own, and do it insanely well. amazing
Heimer multiclassing as an artificer/bard right now
I did not know that Mick Wingert actually sang this, makes it 100% more impactful!
THE BEST SONG FROM THE BEST CHARACTER
This beautiful song came completely out of nowhere in the show and it hit me like a bullet train of feels.
This was the love story of Arcane. After so many hours of their story, the joy of the release of their relationship was amazing. Absolutely beautiful.
this song hits so much harder when you understand heimer outlives everyone he cares about because his lifespan is so much bigger. i cant imagine the pain he goes through thinking about his past and yet he still is a beacon of positivity
Great song, my dad overheard it while my brother and I were watching the final act and wanted to know what the name of the song was. I'm glad to find it here on your official channel.
I did not expect Heimerdinger to have the stand out song of the season but here we are.
i loved arcane so much and whilest there are few things in this world that could bring me 2 tears, i never could've expected this little guy 2 do so
This song is one of the most beautiful things i've heard in my life. The overall message being "let the currents take you wherever you will go, and enjoy every moment of it".
IM NOT CRYING, YOU ARE!
Honestly this song is enough that I will never forget him ❤😢
Episode 7 was something else damn 🧍🏼♂️
C’est incroyable comment Arcane a réussi à intégrer la musique de fzcon absolument fusionnelle avec le montage et le story telling…en réalité aucun autre show ne devrait faire autrement. Tout est parfaitement coordonné
Besides being a musical genius and also a technological genius how much I love that fur ball of Hermandinger
This song does not get anywhere near the love it deserves. Such a great, bitter sweet moment and great that the Voice Actor of Heimerdinger actually sung it.
Idk why but I suppose I really needed to hear the message of this song because after looping it for like 5-6 times im bawling my eyes out
