I'm 35 now and I 1000% agree with you on reading classics in highschool vs. an adult. It is crazy how much more I enjoy Jane Eyre, The Scarlet Letter, The Odyssey, etc.
Exactly! Back when I was a 6th grade reading teacher, I had some questions about why I didn’t have mandatory “classics” requirements. I wanted to build a love for reading just for the sake of reading.

It Ends With Us tore me up for hours. My sister is a survivor of domestic abuse. I finished the book in a day. I couldn’t put it down. However, I think my husband wished he would have made me take a break from reading it. It was a lot to unpack in 1 day. So I ended up ugly crying for hours. It really brought out a perspective I never understood about my sisters situation. So I put her in the main characters shoes and I really think that just tore me up. But I highly recommend that one as well Jess. It’s great.
It was super triggering to me with a past relationship. It made me so angry to “relive” some of those things. But, at the same time, I was again thankful that was part of my past and not my present. Much love to your sister.
You both are my favorite people. Jess when you start laughing I cant. I just think as a couple you work so well together. The vlogmas was great. Looking forward to this next year. God Bless and Happy New Year.

Thank you for sharing your book recommendations! I know Christmas is over, but if you do a book “advent” for your girls, now is a great time to look for new holiday books to add to your collection for next year’s book advent. I know my kids loved opening new books each day in December! Also I saw a really cool book gift idea where someone wrapped a book for each month of the year and on the plain wrapping paper and then wrote a short summary or description on each book. The person receiving the gift had a new book each month to unwrap and read.

I read “Addie Larue” because of Jessica’s recommendation last year it was amazing! And I so agree that the required reading for high school aged kids is, for the most part, ridiculous. I re-read Cold Sassy Tree in college and loved it. But in 10th grade it was annoying! Lol

My husband and I bought horse stall mats at Tractor Supply for our home gym and laid it on the existing carpet since it’s a huge room that connects to a family room. It works well for us!

Last 2,3 years my mom and I always look forward to the month of December as you guys would be posting vlogmas..we enjoy watching your vlogmas thoroughly Jessica and Tyler..this last episode got us emotional as the much loved vlogmas of you guys is coming to an end..thank you so much for entertaining us..
Tyler: Why don't you get some mirror squares and put them on one wall in the gym so the whole wall is mirror which will make it look much bigger plus be the mirror you need. Seems ideal. And while it would be better to put the mat squares over the carpet, do keep in mind you'll need to saw off the bottom of the door so it goes over it and that'll leave a bit of a space on the room side under the door that you'll be looking at. So may be best to take up the carpet but pay attention to the depth of the mat to see if you'll still need to saw the door down.
So sad vlogmas is over but I know yall are glad for the break. Thanks for keeping us entertained. Yay for more tyler cooking videos. Yall watch them all so he keeps posting them.

Hey , i just wanted to let you both know how much i appreciate all the videos/vlogs you both make together. I am really going through it mentally due to an end of a relationship / realization i have to move on from someone i truly love. Watching you both gives me hope that one day i will find my person and live happily ever after like you two.. especially because i am 25 & i feel like i wont ever find my person…The dynamic, how you two bounce off eachother, and the clear as day love you both have for eachother is so beautiful and uplifting for me… im hoping & looking forward to any future uploads.. i truly truly need it right now 😢 💔. & Jess .. if you can.. i would really appreciate it if you can say a quick prayer for me to stay strong through this terribly painful heartbreak. For the workout room floor: I have horse stall mat. Sturdy, non slip, no worry with heavy weights, firm for heavy lifts. I have a cable machine on mine too. For times when I want cushion under me I use the foam puzzle piece tiles or a yoga mat, but overall horse stall mat has worked very well for me. Stinky when first purchased but it goes away. You can find it at tractor supply or country max stores.
This session is one I look forward to yearly. Sounds like a tradition is born. Thank you 😊

I read 1984 my senior year and my teacher made it into a game it was amazing!! We had to put on a scrub top with a number when we came to class and that was our “name” and we had to follow all of the rules in the book. We got strings for being obedient and lost them if we said something bad about big brother. If you ran out of strings you got vaporized and couldn’t participate in the discussion for the rest of the class. It made learning the book so fun

Tyler we put the squares directly on top of the berber. It was fine but we had senior cats who upchuck pretty often and it was a nightmare cleaning out of the textured mats. We took them out, put equipment directly on the berber with slides underneath and it works great!
So true about books we're required to read in school. There were a lot that I enjoyed but so many that I didn't have the patience for or interest in.
Hi Tyler. Yes, remove the carpet, clean the cement floor well, all carpet glue remnants, etc. You can put down a wood floor or lay directly over the cement. Are you using the interlocking tiles? If so, pretty easy job, after you rip up the carpet and clean underneath. Have fun!

That DVD case is a great space saver! But FYI it could theoretically bend your DVD/Blu-rays in time which could make them unplayable. It wouldn’t happen for YEARS (maybe decades) assuming they aren’t stored near a heat source, but FYI.

I must admit I have not been a good subscriber - I can't remember the last time I watched one of your videos (including all of vlogmas 😭) BUT! I will never ever miss a book review video!! Love these. 💕
It was another great vlogmas. Love that you do it for the full 31 days. But it’s just long enough for me to form a habit, so I notice it’s missing for the first month of the year. But I start anticipating it’s return around October, so if you include anticipating and missing, it’s a full quarter of my year thinking about Braun Vlogmas. So the return on investment is tits! For us at least! Happy New Year Braun fam. I’d say “see you next year”, but that implies that I’m not watching you year-round. I swear, I’ve spent more hours watching you guys at Disney locations than I’ve spent time IN Disney locations myself. It’s almost like I’m watching you guys, not ‘your content’. Well done on another year of vlogs. Thank you for the book recommendations every year. Some of my favorite 2022 reads were suggested by you two. For what it's worth if you want more John Lithgow, his book Drama is a memoir that really stuck with me. Wishing you all the best in 2023.
