My step dad literally built a tank like this for fun in the 90's, but out of welded metal, and the gun was a 4 ft long, 2" potato cannon. We had so much fun with it, but he ended up selling it to somebody for a dune buggy that he turned into a mad max style war buggy. He was always making crazy things.
He built a tankette with just what you can find at home depot. So as funny as it is, he's getting somewhere with it. Other than on an FBI and ATF watch list lol.
