Same here, but because of that I probably won't put it on a playlist because I don't want to feel melancholic all the time, because he absolutely nailed that feeling!
It really makes me want him to somehow make a cover for the song Bring Me To Life by Evanescence. I've always felt so much emotion behind that song and there's definitely emotion in this song. Emotional songs can really come out on top if real emotion is put into it. As a big music fan, I appreciate songs that get personal, or at least feel personal. Not all songs of course. But it definitely shows that the singer is putting much more in than just singing words

Cole was incredible and his solo work absolutely compounded the emotional impact of the orchestral crescendo but, what pulled on me the most were the breaths and inflections in Jon’s voice. It is the subtle things about his singing style that always get me.
The first song I heard of Jon’s was Hellfire from the Hunchback of Notre Dame, you may like that one, if you haven’t heard it already.

Silco's last act wasn't as a crime lord, but as a father letting his daughter know she was everything and enough. I heard someone say that Powder was who shot Silco, but Jinx is who avenged him. I can fully agree with that 💔
Yeah, shame Silco's first, and most common, act as a father was to exploit a child's trauma and turn her into a weapon to further his economic and political goals.

I think the way people can see his action as both manipulative and fatherly support in the end is a testament to a great character and I think its a mix of both because he does care for jinx and is also a man by his own words willing to do anything for his goals, but we will never know if he would have sold out jinx or not

This is my favorite arcane song, it captures the "in a better world we could have had it all" idea i think every character in arcane has to face at one point in the series

I know that Arcane LoL is some of tv series but I'm not a telly watcher so know nothing about it. What I do know is that this hit very powerfully and that sigh/sob around 1.04/5 really gets me every darn time!

Fun tidbit, the launcher is named Fish Bones, and Jinx talks to it, almost like it's her conscience..
A fan theory is that it was meant to be a surprise for Silco or something she carries that reminds her of him, and it has the shark design because of how he had an interest in underwater creatures.

I felt every second of this song holy shit. I always thought the "Why dont you love who I am?" Part was particularly powerful but you just destroyed it and almost made me cry on the spot
That line, "I'm the monster you created" (and that whole scene) was the most impactful, heartbreaking, and perfect moment in all television.
It still gets me everytime I rewatch it. Best season of television ever.

I can't get over how well this shows off the range and depth Jon has built in his voice. It's just so impressive on a technical level that it would be fantastic even before you take in the performance and emotion for dynamism. One of those beautiful covers that re-contextualizes and builds an entire new layers into the original.
I know I may not get a response, but I'm genuinely curious how you get the growls so perfectly in your yells! If you have any tips for a singer wanting to hone their craft a bit more and wouldn't mind sharing, I'd love to hear them!

I always love your covers because of the dark emotion you add, but this one takes them all. The visceral emotion that pours from this cover is palpable in a way that is indescribable. If this isn't my number 1 most listened to song on Spotify for 2022 I will be shocked - it's been on near constant repeat, I'm obsessed.
