I can't stop listening to the Arcane soundtrack. One of the best soundtracks I've heard in a long time. It's so unique and full of emotion and storytelling. Never been one to tear up to music, but "What Could Have Been" gets me nearly every time.

Every time i think i've buried my post-arcane feels in booze or work i see something like this and they all come flooding back. The music on this show was like nothing i've ever experienced to the point it can literally make you fall into sadness, for me its "what could have been" because just the name of that song is a gut punch, let alone remembering the stuff that came alongside when it plays in the show. Not to mention all these great artworks and cinematics of Jinx are just so hard to see after the show.... she just wanted to help, and be loved... *"Don't Cry.... You're Perfect"*
The original soundtrack of Arcane (2021 -) is one of the best, perhaps, the best of all time in the history of animation that I have heard in my entire life. I hope to hear this great and splendid OST again in the second season, so that Samuel Kim will come back to create amazing covers like this.

Didn't think anything can topple my most favorite anime attack on titan for me, but Arcane surely did. Arcane really hit me hard, felt really emotional after finishing it.
I'm STILL suffering post-series depression also double amouth(And i guess it will not end soon). Because i am an animator and Arcane is even beyond my dreams. I wish i would be part of the that amazing team. I am questioning of life and what i am doing right now :'( (Though i am glad i have a job at least). But thanks to them (Fortiche and Riot) they showed us to future of the animation!

People like to think of art as being fully subjective, but that's only partially true. There's such a thing as OBJECTIVELY good music. When everything is being produced, sung, and played at a master's level of quality, it becomes objectively good. Whether or not you personally enjoy a song is all subjective, but the actual quality of Arcane's OST is not up for debate, people!
Not true, music is completely subjective. As for the music in arcane, it was mostly fine with a few great tracks. It certainly doesn't stack up against the top tier osts

Good Lord! When this came on at the end of season 1 of Arcane, I heard Sting, but when Ray Chen came in at the crescendo 2:33 (original version)...my eyes burned and ASMR enveloped me, big time! It was epic, soul-stirring and it's been in heavy rotation... Mr. Kim, you've added the perfect emotional element to this song...I salute you!

He murders Vi and Powder's family (Vander himself, tries the rest as well only to have Powder accidentally kill 2 of them), he takes over her home and moulds a girl he orphaned and traumatised into a deadly agent and turns her against her true family. He floods Zaun with shimmer, turning it into a crime-filled hellhole. He has a child labour force working in his shimmer factories after earlier reminding the chem barons about how they had to toil in the mines. He tries to kill Vi at every opportunity, mocking her for failing to save Vander all those years ago and for DRIVING AWAY her sister in grief, showing that he knowingly lies and manipulates Jinx when he 'reminds' her how Vi left her, thus destroying the relationship between the sisters who were so close during Powder's childhood. Yeah, I'd say that makes him a pretty revolting villain. I for my part didn't cry about his death, I almost cried because rather than denounce this monster who destroyed her life and her relationship with Vi, Jinx now somehow feels obliged to complete his and bring war to Zaun. Even in death, he still holds a grip on the girl he orphaned, traumatised and turned against her family.

Really good soundtracks and scores play the subtle role of "narrator" to their stories. And Arcane does it magnificently. Goodbye, Guns For Hire and What Could Have Been are an ode to all the transformation, yearning and suffering that comes from Vi and Jinx fighting a tragic destiny they can no longer deviate from. I find it impossible not to tear up when I hear them. Fuck! I tuned in to this show because I thought I would be getting an action-packed guilty pleasure. Not a masterpiece of emotional storytelling!

It took me a while to watch Arcane, wasn't really interested in a cartoon on two of (in my formerly misguided opinion) less interesting characters. Finished this show in two days and am already rewatching it, this is firmly entrenched in my list of all time favorite tv shows.

ah, some good music befitting my post-series depression...i don't think i've ever felt this strong about a series in a while now or ever. the characters were so lovingly written and animated that they felt realer than anything hollywood would be able to churn out
Can I just say I am always so fucking blown away with your horn/brass section in most of your pieces. The swelling harshness at the highlights is done so perfectly giving the brass such a characteristic that shares the same emotion as many pieces from famous movies with famous composers.

When Samuel started uploading these Arcane Covers I was like "wow, what an amazing music" and not bothering too much about it, since most of his songs are awsome :) But when he uploaded the last ones and I saw the comments of so many people that loved this series I thought that I should give it a try and watch the first episode fo rmyself. And here I am, just finished ep. 9 and this music hits me so much now

I like those orchestral versions very much! Great work and thank you for sharing them. I watched this series after my brother suggested it me to. I played LoL back in the days and stopped somewhere in 2014 because I could stand its bad community. The kind funny/crazy character is very hit or miss with me and Jinx fell on the wrong side. "Get Jinxed" was great but I would not watch a full show or movie out of that. All in all, let say I did not expect much out of Arcane. With only 9 episodes, I watched it anyway. Some shows and movies made me tear up a little before (never did a song though). But Arcane managed to do what no other piece of media managed to do for 30 years. It made me cry. More than once. The scene where Powder lit up the flare totally crushed me and I don't even fully understand why. Maybe because it felt like it was actually Powder trying to reach to the surface, lighting up her last spark of hope, calling for her sister and not about Jinx. It still hit me like a train. I can't even listen to Guns for Hire or What Could Have Been without tearing up now. 4:30 is like turning on a valve. For me, Arcane is one of the best, if not the best, show that I've seen in my life.
Just so beautiful a series in so many ways. The OST does not get anywhere near the attention it deserves. That trauma you literally feel to your core isn't just the visual, or acting, it's the incredibly near perfect score underlying each scene.
Make covers with the OST please !!! Some tracks (specially from Act 2 & 3 are really good!) You could mix songs like "She's back" and "The Assailant" 😱

I played LoL back in the days and stopped somewhere in 2014 because I could stand its bad community. The kind funny/crazy character is very hit or miss with me and Jinx fell on the wrong side. "Get Jinxed" was great but I would not watch a full show or movie out of that. All in all, let say I did not expect much out of Arcane. With only 9 episodes, I watched it anyway. Some shows and movies made me tear up a little before (never did a song though). But Arcane managed to do what no other piece of media managed to do for 30 years. It made me cry. More than once. The scene where Powder lit up the flare totally crushed me and I don't even fully understand why. Maybe because it felt like it was actually Powder trying to reach to the surface, lighting up her last spark of hope, calling for her sister and not about Jinx. It still hit me like a train. I can't even listen to Guns for Hire or What Could Have Been without tearing up now. 4:30 is like turning on a valve. For me, Arcane is one of the best, if not the best, show that I've seen in my life.

Just so beautiful a series in so many ways. The OST does not get anywhere near the attention it deserves. That trauma you literally feel to your core isn't just the visual, or acting, it's the incredibly near perfect score underlying each scene.
