My wife has an Ember , as you stated , at her low draw weight the string is "sloppy", but, overall I am impressed with the Ember. I love your views on draw weight , start low, get your form good first ! I always appreciate your honesty on your reviews. As you always say , it is about how much you shoot , and not just expensive equipment

Thanks for all the great advice. My friend is in a similar situation and needs to start over with a lower poundage. I'll share your video with him to show that even with the lower poundage, he could do ok. He could also increase strength quickly. I'm glad you are doing better!
Glad to see you are doing much better. I'd like to hear more about the blow up lawsuit.. I think it's ridiculous for these types of people to take a shop to court because of their misuse of an item. Especially after a year of owning the item. But this is the world we live in now.
that's starting to come together nicely. Arrow wise i feel the icepoints are better suited for compound and the paragon's better for recurve/barebow. The main difference being the weight at wich they tune. icepoints at 120gr and paragon at 100gr points. I feel that the only scenario that the icepoint is the better arrow is when you have the drawweight to back it up. The wind stability is better on the pandarus and i suspect it was designed for stability first and foremost, much like the ca320 vs the x10, a slight increase in shaft weight to suit a 120gr point. for barebow the nock on distance is about 5 meter difference (65 on paragon vs 60 on icepoint) with a gt27 shooting 44lb mach x limbs (52 otf). since 50 is the max range barebow shoots at, the extra stability the icepoint gives really amazing.
Since I am bow shopping, a quick question. You seem to like the Ember, but not the Basin. (On your other videos). Aren't they much the same? I believe they have the same cams and set up. Looking for my first bow so I am curious.
the number of new archers I see turn up at target clubs with a 70lb bow they were told "because you'll want that for hunting" is actually pretty depressing.
a dealer told me that he had TONS of used bows in that weight range for sale....many bought "online" at that weight due to the "need a heavy man's bow" thinking
Does lowering the poundage using the limb bolts have any affect on the bows draw length?, i seen a video where they twisted the cables to increase the poundage and it ended up affecting the draw length
are you crypto mining 😅, also great video. i’ve got a bear paradox and hoyt ventum pro and can’t shoot either due to shoulder issues from having poor form. but i might grab my sisters bear legit and drop it down to around 20-30lbs. haven’t shot in 2-3months and i really miss shooting 😢
It's strange, why does people think that if you blow up your bow, especially after a year, you can now get your money back? People seem to understand on other things, like dropping your phone, regardless if brand new or 1 year old, you can't go back and ask for your money back. It's just ludicrous. Like, "Oh, my kid smashed my TV, I want my money back!" :D It takes a special kind of person to think that you can go back to the shop and ask for your money back when you damaged your equipment.
The bow manufacturers have really done well convincing the market to adopt the whole “new bow every year” mentality…almost as successful as DeBeers’ 1930s marketing campaign for diamond engagement rings lol I suppose it keeps the ADD archers interesting in the sport so I shouldn’t complain but as someone who is still shooting a bow from 2017, and I’m currently hunting around for a different used bow made that same year, I can honestly say you should be disappointed in a bow that only lasts one or two years before needing anything to be replaced other than strings and cables :)
It sounds like you have good case against this bad customer . He sounds like someone who knows little about archery and didn't prepare well enough to learn the sport. I hope the courts consider this and fine him for wasting your time so you don't pay legal fees.
Anyone thinking of getting an elite ember? Don’t!! On The bottom of the bow the both cam cables overlap and run against eachother, in addition, it is much heavier physically than the advertised weight !! It’s junk with an elite badge
Damn you aussies sure blow up a lot of bows, every video your taking about it lol, then to sue over a bow that you've been shooting for a year lmfao pound sand buddy boy...I can't tell you when I had my last bow come in over a blow up. I just don't see that hardly at all..

I've done a small town weekly indoor tournament with my hunting bow. It was great at forcing me to fix problems with my form but it was exhausting.

the limb bolts, no. twisting the cables absolutely will.
With riser design, it'll affect brace height by about 1/8" at most on the majority of bows. That shouldn't really be noticeable for most people.
