My son is now old enough and experienced enough that it’s time to refine and hone his skills. So now I gotta dust off the cobwebs and get my game back. These are great tips man. This should go a long way to helping me get back in the game.

Playing on low sensitivity (3), changing the aim acceleration to 1, and especially avoiding pushing the right thumbstick all the way (micro correcting instead) when fighting honestly is just the best tip I've gotten ever. It really, really works in practice, thanks! It gives me so much more control over my shots, instead of just over correcting and missing my shots all the time.

As a Halo purist I actually found 5 to be a very fun and competitive game. It didn't feel quite enough like OG Halo imo, but it was still very fun to play. I mean they added all the movement abilities that changed a lot, but it also gives you a bunch of options to outplay people in gunfights. You can really pull off some crazy stuff if your good and it didn't hurt the skill gap but rather enhanced it imo. Some of the maps deff needed a bit more work to accommodate everything but the mechanics are fun. I haven't played it since a few months after release so idk if they added better maps or fixed the auto aim issues, but it had more potential than some other halo devotees gave it credit for. Was sure way better than 4.

I could add another tip, the pre-shooting. Some automatic weapons let you fire a continue shoot, and when those weapons are 1vs1, 1 shot make the difference, so when you're sure an enemy is appearing (may be on a pursuit), and you're already pre-aiming, start firing while going to him, start the fire while he's even reacting.

Just a random thing that I noticed, When I started to learn to play claw handed, I improved on many more levels than just being able to jump shoot. When I first started I immediately lost all of my accuracy with my weapons, and had to work to get it back. But because I knew I couldn't out shoot anyone that forced me to learn to be really good at using my environment to win the fight. Thus when I got my accuracy back, I was 10 times better than I was before.

IMO the best way to practice your micto corrections is octagon. Its just that you can get so much aim practice in such little time compared to matchmaking, couple this with the tips in this vid and you will master aiming so fast!
PRO TIP: All you have to do to get a 1v1 octagon going is start a custom match of octagon and set the lobby to "open to all players" and start a game, usually within minutes someone will join from customs browser and practice for about 30 minutes. Very useful.

My problem was just having a too high sens. Also, if u really want a lot and I mean A LOT of practice at pre-aiming just to either get used to it or have better crosshair placement etc, I suggest Valorant cuz angles and positioning is really important in that game. Also, when turning a corner when pre-aiming, swing wide. Don’t hug the corner

My biggest problem always seems to be if I can left or right down a hall. I almost always choose wrong and get shot from behind.

This is useful I'm not new I'm just not good at headshots or sniping shots. I player slot of assassination tower and I got the animation pack 100k req points. But ninja skills are useful for when you being chased around a corner

Amazing video bruh! I learned the pre aiming and keeping the reticle on a head level at all time through a lot of time and pain 😂 I usually freak out when I have the sniper rifle and try to flick the stick when enemies are in front of me (I play on highest sensitivity (do you recommend that? I’m getting better and better by the day with fast sensitivity)) thanks for the tips once again and I realized u’re the person that made how to die less or something and I’m rocking those tips! All I want to say is stay awesome and thanks

Another Great CX video Cole. Thanks for the tips, I've been working on the pre aim, now I'll have to look to see where is my reticle when I'm not shooting.

Honestly, being conscious of this and attempting to make micro corrections made me better almost instantly. Awesome advice. I copied your sensitivity and lowered my dead zone to about 8 so the ridicule would move right as I started putting in an input. Thanks a ton!
