The media don’t like it because it’s not a classic top six but Unai & Villa are a fit
I can see where you are coming from. But currently both of them are a fit. They have a strict employer-employee relationship.
Even as a non Chelsea fan, to see Di matteo lift that Champions league trophy that year was a moment I still Cannot believe. The emotions he must of felt lol
you could play a drinking game with how often Goldstein asks a question, gets an answer, then changes the parameters of the question until they can't answer
He's arguably the most annoying person on talksport
@@eXpressYourselfClipsThere is a lot of competition for that as well. Him and Crook are the worst!
That was a sub 13 minute segment and I’d have died of alcohol poisoning
@@JuliusSeizure-tw6microoks is by far the worst no question
Probably the best duo these 2
Luis Enrique & Pep at Barca, Ancelotti at Milan, Zidane at Madrid
Took Goldstein 12mins to say “Wenger/Arsenal”. Typical Man Utd fan.
But currently both of them (Aston Villa and Unai Emery) are a fit. They have a strict employer-employee relationship.
This goes for every manager and club.
The rank amateur is still desperate for Unai Emery to go to Man Utd. Thankfully, Unai's clearly way smarter and more knowledgeable about the sport than Goldstein.
Knowing the club helps big time, the rest is upto the manager.
Based on what ?
I’m waiting for Cundy. Watching the Arsenal game right now. 4-0 so far 😂
He called but wasn’t in the studio
HAS ANYONE SEEEEEEEN CHELSEA?
HAS ANYONE SEEEEEEEN Petrrrović? Gilchrrrist? Diiisasiii? Baaadiashile? Cuuucuuurrrelllllla? Caicedooo? Enzooo? Maaadueke? Mudryyyk? Gallagherrr? Jaaackson?
HAS ANYONE SEEN Bettinelllllli? Challlobah? Thiiiago Siiilva? Casssadei? Dyerrr? Chukwuemekaaa? Sterrrling? Taurrriainen? Waaashington?
Being familiar with a club is a hindrance not an asset in most cases
Pat rice was the assistant to Wenger when he first came in
These two are great. I see both sides but I agree with Darren Bent here. It's not as big a deal as some make out but I think knowing the club helps a bit
Pep Guardiola knew Barca
I did a stadium tour at anfield. Sign me up! Know the club
Ole at Man Utd, Rooney at Derby, Lampard at Chelsea
Some are a success and some are not... not an exact science like 😂 I'd say it doesn't matter but is nice when it does work out.
It's does help to know the club, but its not essential. Di matteo won CL, ok so Lampard knows Chelsea give him another go, or what about Gerrard to Liverpool? 🤔🤦🏾♂️
Darren... wake up! Andy is saying there are examples but the majority prooves the rule.
Jesus this was an annoying conversation.
Bent was not disagreeing with Andy he was merely saying that knowing a club before you go there obviously helps that’s just common sense
Neil Harris - Millwall - definitely knows the club
Frank Clark at Forest...
Thierry was at Barca under pep benty not frank rikard
KD at Liverpool, Ancelotti at AC
Someone tell Bent It’s okay to quit a dumb argument lol! More managers had no link to a club and won than those who “knew” the club and won. Bent is here fishing and using a few examples to make it seem like knowing the club helps 😂 argument for the sake of argument lol
Bent was merely making the point that if you know a club before you get there it’s obviously going to help he did not disagree with Andy, if anything Andy was disagreeing with him
@@lordlawrence3299 lol but it doesn’t help though, that’s the whole argument! When the stat suggests more managers in their first time at a club have had way more success than those who “knew” the club, the whole argument is dead. If it “helps”, there would be more examples of managers who knew the club and were successful than the 3 that came off the top of his head compared to the many the other guy nailed and I’d even argue there are too many examples of managers who knew the club either working within it or as an ex player (coming back to coach a 2nd time doesn’t count) who failed to meet the standard of the club or just failed horribly at the job
Benty you missed out on two of the great managerial achievements from players who took on a club.
Zidane and pep at real
Knew the club and won everything
5-0 Arsenal V Chelsea.... Where the F is Cundy!!!!!? 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Probably crying in his bathroom
HASSSS ANYOOONE SEEEEEN JASOOOON CUNNNNDY?
Sir Matt Busby, the former Liverpool and Man City captain, didn't know Manchester United inside out. But did shape the club in the post-war era.
In all fairness most of our history is from Matt busby aswel like that’s when the United dna was made
@@willtallis5275 Yes, that's true. Liverpool, Man City and Man United are like sister clubs.
George Graham?
Our ceiling is to win the league and European cup simple thats what we have done before so that is the ceiling SIMPLE
I say yes get Gerard in at Liverpool and Lampard back at Chelsea 👍🏻
You jest
DiMatteo's CL is not held to a high prestige because they parked the bus to win it. A win is a win but Bayern Munich deserved to win that. If anyone parked the bus they'd stand a chance to win.
Hang on... does he mean prem or in general? Pep at barcelona, klopp at dortmund, zidane at real.... theres loads who knew the club.
Klopp never played for Dortmund? Might as well add Liverpool.
Could have said Arteta?
Mark Robins
5:30 Zidane
Ummmm….. Zinedine Zidane and Pep at Barcelona… come on now Andy that’s a stinker you’ve had right there. Also Xavi won the league with Barcelona, ok not a good season this year but he’s still won the league last year.
You dont need to know the club to win trophies. Its a fact. You named 3 guys out of thousands...Well done
5:50 ARTETA
Xavi proving it now at Barca too
Proving what? He's done fa at Barca. A shadow of they're former-self
@@marklawd91won the league last season you clown points ahead or Real Madrid
@willtallis5275 no one cares about them anymore. Barca are done.
@@marklawd91 okay then
@@marklawd91 ha coming from someone who listens to mark goldbridge hahahah

I lose brain cells listening to Andy Goldstein 😂
Andy, come off it now. This is beyond a joke. Know when you are beat man. Insufferable🙄🤦🏿♂️
Luis enriquez
Poch psg
Think it's safe to say Zidane is the most successful manager talked about in regards to time spent and trophies won. Goldstein is a ballbag
How?
How not?
@@user-kg4cr1jq8o Zidane won three successive champions leagues. Take that in. Three on the bounce of the hardest competition in world football.
Won the league twice. And the four campaigns he had as Real Madrid boss, Zidane either won the league title or took the race to the final day.
Also won the European super cup twice the world club championship twice, and the Spanish super cup twice. Has the best record of any manager that has ever managed the most successful team in the world.
Who that they spoke about in that convo in relation to managers who knew the club as a player (or previously) has done better than him. I expect you not to reply obviously cos there is no-one that is better that’s clear
Ole ole ole
Peo ..Barcelona
He’s not going to United goldstein stop digging yourself a deeper grave
Lampard, knew Chelsea. Solskjaer, knew United. That's that myth quenched. The only reason Zidane did well at Madrid, is he had Ronaldo in his team. Ronaldo, dug that Madrid side out single handedly in multiple big games.
and Bale in that Champions League final.
@@myasaeeLiverpool's Donkey keeper gave Madrid 2 goals in that final.
Solskjaer performed well above expectations for most of his time with United but had a couple of extended bad patches, the latter of which got him the sack. But there were many great moments too, and a 2nd placed finish one season if I recall correctly. Lampard's first season at Chelsea was excellent, finishing top 4, reached the FA Cup final, and that was with a transfer ban, a bunch of youths in their first Prem season, and the loss of Hazard who was responsible for 50% of Chelsea's goals the season before under Sarri. In Lampard's second season, his new attacking signings, Werner and Havertz, let him down badly - everyone knows that - and he was in the title race until December when both Reece James and Chilwell got injured for the rest of the season, who were crucial to our system, with nobody decent to replace them, and the season fell apart as the defence weakened and the attackers wasted chance after chance. Context. Neither was a disaster.
@@Mal_Freeman0451 Chelsea, were in a title race under Lampard? Stop it! 😂
@@garywallace5602As in they were up around the top positions until December........
What is wrong with this channel ? Man City, the supposed greatest team in the world, just got eliminated again (twice in three years) by the most successful club on earth, and you all have nothing to say.
