“A Moonlight’s Tale” is a 3D animated fairytale that tells the story of The Moon and his personal journey to overcome his fear of rejection, others' prejudices towards him, and fighting for what and who he loves.

@@k4zum4s4m4 I am sorry if you felt that way. It was never my intention to make Sun look the way you thought it did. Also I don't understand what made you feel that way. I mentioned Sun 3 times in those lines
1st time said" In return She made sure he wouldn't get lost in shadows again " This meant she felt his unmeasurable love for her despite the pain he felt the pain here meant difficulty in their love . So she reciprocated by providing him with equal love. Yes I didn't mention her love in this line but next one makes it clearer. Also in shadows again meant he viewed himself as evil, as someone only worthy of darkness , you can see it in Moon's shadow he actually views himself as devil. Unworthy. So Sun prevented that by giving him her light. her love. Her energy.
2nd time said "It was their love that gave him light and scars were just reminder of her presence in his life" I will break it down for you. First part of this line meant that the moon glowed because of their mutual love. It made him feel happy , that he loved sun so much and she returned it equally. It meant light represented their love for each other . Next part of that statement meant that Since her time with her was limited and they could only spend time with each other occasionally he remembered her by the scars that she left behind. Now i know scars are usually negatively put into light but for moon it was something to hold onto when they couldn't be together . They meant she was real. That their love and time existed. He would look at those scars and relive the moment they spend dancing.
Last line says "whenever he healed he waited for another chance to be burned by his love again" This simply meant that he waited to relive beautiful moments with her. Another Dance. New set of scars didn't hurt him after all. It was letting go of her till another eclipse.
I believe it's not just how one put's things but also how other person views it. I am sure your opinion of viewing what I wrote is your own , but that doesn't mean I put it in such a way to make sun sound Bad . I only wrote what I felt when watching that story and that was their love.

I like how the stars were afraid he would hurt her with his darkness.
But instead she hurt him with her light.
And he loved it.
He loved her, and was willing to accept the suffering to enjoy being with her & basking in her equally huge love for him

Part of the reason he held on was because when she realized she was hurting him she looked at her own hand in fear of what it had done, and that's the same way he looked at himself.
Exactly, right before the Moon dared to ask the Sun for a dance, he was staring at his hands after he saw his shadow with the horns, probably asking himself if he really was that bad? and if he would hurt her even though he only loved her and her light. So, when it came the case that the Sun was burning Moon's skin, he accepted her light because the only one person who accepted his invitation would have started to feel the same fear he had: Being "bad" cause they hurt their loved one

I have two favorite moments from this short:
The kiss, because I'm a hopeless romantic, (I just wish we were closer to them so I could see it better)
And that moment when the sun realized that she'd burned the moon and almost pulled away from him, but he kept hold of her hand with that smile despite the burns. It was like he was saying, "I've been lonely for so long, spending a dance with you is worth the pain."

As another hopeless romantic I love this
I love the concept being that the moon loves sun so much that he would wait until the ball every time and dance with her without worrying about his scars and burns because he loves her so much. His love for her is pure and true. I was literally crying through the whole thing. This is the best short story i’ve ever seen.

I love how this tale included the moon's craters as scars
I've seen a lot of moon origin stories but this is the first that has brought up an explanation for the craters and marks that we see from the ground. Very creative, I'm impressed.

Fox Fires, while not about the origin of the moon, involved the moon and the origins of the Northern Lights.
That and this one are tied for best space-themed animation.

For me, the moon at first also thought himself as a devil, hence the silhouette. Because he also pictures himself as one. When he saw The Sun he opened up, no longer wearing the mask.

My answer for the first two is no, and for the second two, it’s yes. I love the way they portrayed the moon, and definitely think this will stay with me for years to come. However, I’ve always wanted to fall in love, so this masterpiece only made me feel all cozy and warm, and I’m not much of a cryer, so I have to watch some kind of “Try Not to Cry Challenge” or something of the like to tear up.

A beautiful animation, and I have a little fan-theory, too. The Stars fear the Moon because they think he will steal their light. What if it's a case of mistaken identity, confusing him for something that they themselves can become: a Black Hole? If this tale were to ever be expanded upon, that would make for an interesting plot point.

This 6 minutes animation is better than most movies Hollywood make these days. Its been so long I have watched something so beautiful. This story is classic, pure and heartwarming. The music is also great. Kudos to the people who made this amazing animation.

The ballroom attendees was crowd sim in MASH, and the dance choreography was captured in OptiTrack™ system. This was one of the best thesis films produced next to Why Z? by Asher Horowitz.

@@larcovilia8792 The original story... was about how he abducted her from her mother Demeter and she was trapped in the underworld for 6 months because she ate 6 out of 12 pomegranate seeds, and her mother would grow depressed when she went to the Underworld and cause the seasons of Fall and Winter. Family ties aside- as a lot of them were considered "family" and yet they still got married and had relations with each other- it wasn't all that romantic of a story either.
I took my headphones off to check if they were plugged in cuz I heard the music playing behind me. Turns out this video just has amazing 3D audio.

Thanks and glad to know! Sound design was mostly a combination of stones and cave resonances, processed metallic sheens for the Sun’s presence, and basic cinematic rumbles for the cosmic dance sequence. The film was driven mostly by the score, though I originally had it overplayed with guitar and bass swells to explore (and add) orchestral tension. Unfortunately, it wasn’t used in the final cut.
It all comes down to believability!

Every stars was scared of losing their light in contact of the dark moon but the sun was the brightest she had nothing to fear instead of losing her light she made the moon illuminate same goes for ppl . Also, the animation is so good. In particular, I really love the beginning where the statue of the eagle lowers its wing while the statue holding a sword lifts it up in order for the doors to open up.

Actually, to get all sciency, a 'blue moon' is the second full moon in the same month (quite rare) so that is the month they are farthest apart in the sky twice. (the full moon is always coming up as the sun is going down of course.) You're welcome.

Yah Frix RONQUILLO The animatics says every once in eternity. I think they meet during solar eclipses, which are very rare. That would mean they would stop meeting eventually because solar eclipses will in the very distant future not be possible.

The stars were greedy and wouldn’t share their light with the moon, but respected and even envied the sun’s radiance and heat and parted for her. But they feared the moon; that he would steal their light for his own. But he really just wanted someone to share their light so he could reflect it, for of course, he had none of his own.
My go-to when I have doubts about true love. This is how I imagine love, real love manifest
The Sun and Moon need each other! Moon= Femmine. Sun= Masculine. They both need each other to stay in balance. This movie portrays that in such a briliant way!
Love leaves scars, but in the end, it is a sign of true love. The more you are hurt, the more light you allow into your heart to grow.

@@pandoracavender7142 yes but that was not his attention he wanted love someone to dance and talk with he was lonly feeling like a outcast while the sun gets along with stars since the stars were suns in the past aswell small suns who exploded stars are dying suns but we still see their light so she doesnt burn them by touch they wanted to protect her from the moon but didnt realize he never wanted to harm her as they been together the moon got light but scars after the scars are healed he meets her again and they make a eclipse

Light and darkness thigh they are different, they are attracted to each other, the sun is not of nothing without the moon and the moon is nothing without the sun.
Yet though the stars shine so bright yet there beauty is is nothing without the sun and moon.
The sun gives us light and warms our days, and the moon shines brightly to show our world that even light shines in the darkness.
Both are equal and at impossible to live without
