Great reaction. I came across this Band a year ago and now have all their CDs, listen to them everyday and have seen them in concert (Anaheim). You must see them live and they will do Cali again!
Band-Maid always brings an ONSET of love, appreciation and happiness to their viewers. Why? Because they're so damn good -- good-natured, good-hearted, good-looking, and beyond good as writers, players and performers. Wow, right?! BTW - Your viewers will have a better experience if you CRANK your music playback volume. Band-Maid ain't no dinner music! 🤘🏻😉
Good pick-up on Misa's amazing magic sleight-of-hand technique during her bass solo in making her pick just vanish into thin air while she is playing. She is an incredible bassist.
Thanks for the reaction and comments. Check out Play! (official live video). It was originally composed as an instrumental but Saiki loved the song and asked Miku to write lyrics so she could be in on the fun. Cheers!
Saiki the lead singer has had throat surgery in the past so the band are very careful with her voice. They play 2+ hour sets so to give Saiki a break around mid-set they do three things. 1. Play an instrumental, 2. Miku (rhythm guitar) takes lead vocals for a song or two (she usually has one track per album where she is lead vocalist) and 3. Miku will do her legendary and hilarious "Magic Time" MC set. Then Saiki comes back on to finish the set. Even though Saiki no longer needs a break nowadays, it's become more of a tradition. So yeah, they have a number of really cool instrumental tracks. Check out the MV of "From Now On" for another instrumental banger! Can you please turn the music up, I can hardly hear anything - and my headphones and volume are on 10. That guitar technique is known as 'tapping', the correct term is hammer-on's and pull offs.
It's not just a showcase. It's also to give a rest to their lead vocalist (Saiki Atsumi) mid-set. She previously had surgery on her vocal cords so they instituted this part. Usually it's a song with second vocalist (Miku Kobato) singing lead, followed by an instrumental track, followed by a mini "comedy show". (In reality it is called Omajinai Time based off the Maid Cafes.) :D
Alright, I know people are complaining about the volume. I think it’s fine as long as you are able to hear it well. Turning it up wouldn’t hurt, but the music dropping out some while you talk is also helpful… Anyway, it’s a difficult balance to strike and I don’t envy you the task. As far as music videos you should check out there are some fun ones. Warning Afterlife Shambles Don’t you tell me Don’t let me down
As usual Akane is demonstrating Neil P level drumming skill but just subtly part of the main event and on her aggressive little Michael Shrieve /Keith Moon size kit. Sometimes if you follow her basic groove and fills you realise that some prog guy with a kit the size of kansas is not doing more in a solo.
Great reaction, TGR. But, you still have that MV volume too low imho. Definitely needs a 20-30% increase. 🤷🏻♂️. Other than that, well done! Next - something different - “Sayonakidori” - official live Christmas Okyuji video Take care, volume up, and rock on 🤘🏼🔥🎸🥁🎤🌎🎹🎼😎✌🏼
If you like their intrumentals check out 'From Now On' and Without Holding Back'. Also, your levels need balancing the band was very low. If you want more drums check out 'Freedom' LIVE.
@ThisGuyReacts85 also Don't be long. Which is actually an instrumental that Kanami wrote to teach Miku how to play diminiahed 7th chords for their song Different.
Thanks for reacting to what is possibly my favorite Band-Maid song. And as viewers have said, the volume on the video was way too low and nonexistent when you spoke. Your mic volume should not be louder than the video IMO.
@@ThisGuyReacts85 Cool! Looking forward to listening more to your channel. I know I can go to their channel and watch the video but I enjoy watching reactors to Band-Maid because I'm so passionate about this band. Hope you didn't take offense....
Sounds levels get fixed in later reactions :) Enjoy!

on the bucket list
You will never go wrong with reacting to ANY Band-Maid song. Plus, you will get a ton of viewers on your channel when you do.

working on levels
Another great reaction Master TGR. Very observant with MISA! You still have many songs to go...looking forward to it. PO!🕊 WORLD DOMINATION!🤘😆🤘
Coming soon! Rinne
It's called tapping. Eddie Van Halen was one of the pioneers of using that technique for playing a guitar.
i knew it was somehting like that, thanks

Couldn't agree more!
Well, she is an assassin. We never see where or how her "weapon" hiding
@@foong171183 the barefoot assassin strikes
4:06 it's two-handed tapping. the late eddie van halen made it his trademark technique and synonymous to his name.
i knew i had forgetten things, and yes finger tapping. you can tell i was never a guitarist, def a bassist myself xP

so it was for a vocal break, i see
In one of the interviews, Kanami mentioned when there is no singer in a song. The lead guitar IS the singer and she always emphasizes that.
@@foong171183 they make the song work with or without a vocal track

bigger kits doesnt mean bigger skills. a badass drummer can make a kick and snare work. glad to hear another amazing drummer showing of the skills
