- Recently we visited Bolsover Castle in Bolsover, Derbyshire. It has been voted the spookiest and most haunted castle by English Heritage Members. It's a beautiful castle to go and visit. In my opinion it is rather strange though, you have a mix of ruins and then some incredible artwork featured in the castle's keep! It's a remarkable castle and has some rich history. Join us as we show you around and give you the story behind Bolsover Castle.

Go in, it’s a good visit. Years and years ago, my grandad was one of the army of workmen working on it. Over years, I’ve been through all of the public places and some special events. It’s always a treat.

@@strich7385 New Boza's a great place to live so long as you steer clear of the dodgy people in the area much like everywhere else in thr UK. Overall, great place to live and never too far from school for kids if you have some yourself!
Shame that most of the lion-heads are gone from the fireplaces. My parents still have a casting that my grandad took off one of them while they were restoring the castle.

My friend and I climbed over the wall in 89. No one there. Spent the whole day there pretending we were Princesses. Twas magical. 😊

How come it's haunted? I thought that the distinction of 'most haunted castle' would go to the Tower of London.
It’s haunted beach use it has a bear called yes the teddy people have heard it growl at them and anybody who goes near it get very sick

It's supposed to be hunted by "The Gray Lady ". Who ever that was.
I live next to the castle i dont believe in ghost but one summers night I was walking on the lower path and saw someone walking towards me at a distance bare in mind its open fields I looked back and then looked forward and they had vanished?? Was strange 🤔
