steve hardman well noted mate 👍the sound is very similar I love this album and the stone Roses are without a doubt my favourite band but I rate 24 hour party people more imo , I know you never asked but I just thought I would let you know 😂😂Martin hannett is a genius 👍
Martin Hannett - the producer - also of JD and the Mondays. He is the genius at work here although the raw talent of the band and Ian's writing is there. And they are all Manchester, and everything that came after Joy Division was influenced by them including Paul Weller (has admitted it since).
Just finished the Stone Roses: War & Peace book. Great read. Thought I'd listen to Garage Flowers as never did at the time. Amazing how different this track sounds to what appeared on the debut album.
And I'm not going down And you'll not have me now You cannot drag me down So easy to approach me I only get with cut throats You think I'm only joking around Well I'm holding them now You will not have me now You make a bee line for me And I say, must say something And I can't turn my back on the world 'Cause I've got to place it straight I don't know what I'll wait Your draggin' me draggin' me down Take me down Show me around And cannot hurt me now Cause I'm not ready now You cannot have us now You will not drag me down You can have me whenever you want me Your draggin' me draggin' me down Take me down Show me around But don't let me now Cause I'm not ready now You cannot have us now You will not drag me down You can have me whenever you want me You can have me whenever you want me Whenever you want me Whenever you want me Whenever you want me You can have me whenever you want Whenever you want You can have me whenever you want me You can have me whenever you want me Cause I'm gettin' plenty We're all gettin' plenty Whenever you want me You can have me whenever you want Traduzir para o português
Why oh why did they have to reject this album when they first recorded it........ Guess that their debut album would not have been the masterpiece that we know today
Even back before the rest of the Roses could play properly, before they had any decent tunes - Reni was the standout star of the band and turned what could have been a derivative dirge into an interesting curiosity...
You sir are a legend for posting the whole album!
listenin to propa early roses and mondays records just shows what a influence joy division had
+Albert Hofmann Because JD was produced by Martin Hannett, same as this album, same as Happy Mondays 'Bummed'

Honestly, I think the most clear influences on early Roses is The Sex Pistols, that punk rebelliousness really comes through.
Most real pure album around

Excellent stuff one of the best albums going banging
And I'm not going down
And you'll not have me now
You cannot drag me down
So easy to approach me
I only get with cut throats
You think I'm only joking around
Well I'm holding them now
You will not have me now
You make a bee line for me
And I say, must say something
And I can't turn my back on the world
'Cause I've got to place it straight
I don't know what I'll wait
Your draggin' me draggin' me down
Take me down
Show me around
And cannot hurt me now
Cause I'm not ready now
You cannot have us now
You will not drag me down
You can have me whenever you want me
Your draggin' me draggin' me down
Take me down
Show me around
But don't let me now
Cause I'm not ready now
You cannot have us now
You will not drag me down
You can have me whenever you want me
You can have me whenever you want me
Whenever you want me
Whenever you want me
Whenever you want me
You can have me whenever you want
Whenever you want
You can have me whenever you want me
You can have me whenever you want me
Cause I'm gettin' plenty
We're all gettin' plenty
Whenever you want me
You can have me whenever you want

All the Roses need to do is listen to these early tracks and make an Album. Tryin too hard recently
Frankly brilliant.
showing how every time they make music its always something new in style wonder what the album will bring us
I'm all about this bass.
And good rift can’t be beaten
+Ste Warby Riff..
Like the licks, and them whacky wacky drums.
From the 1st second of this track, you know who the producer is
This is apparently all/part produced by the legendary Martin Hannett!
Not his best work tho.
Christ he certainly did a shoddy job here
@@officialFredDurstfanclub too busy sleeping and smoking crack
@@officialFredDurstfanclub It's not easy mixing an album as good as Unknown Pleasures with a circulatory system full of smack
Raw Stone Roses

I have a 1989 Zoom effects that will represent the guitar parts here no problem. Good reverbs.
