Agree he clearly lacks the experience. The B.I.L is getting a nice % but advising him very poorly, especially around his comms and it will cost them both money. He desperately needs to be with one of the top agents who have experience and would direct him far better. His contract will now be minimum 20% less and it was avoidable if he had a veteran manager.

Using ADHD as an excuse is unacceptable - this tars everyone with ADHD. How will this affect how they (everyone else with ADHD) are treated in the future? By employers? Eddie is a relic from a bygone generation who clearly does not understand at all why this an issue.
Ive stuffed up at work today, tried to own it and investigate into it. Definitely got some undiagnosed symptoms there for ADHD, but I wouldnt be going absolutely public with it if I was in his shoes. When hes stuffed up, which he has done a few times. Good to see him playing alright nowadays though, need him to stay out of it off the field now

Thanks Footy on Nine, FC is broadcast on GEM after midnight in ACT for some reason. And doesn't always start on time! Those old repeats of Antiques Roadshow and Silent Witness are considered must see and more important. Pretty sure the target audience for these shows are well in bed by then. Can Nine please show Footy Classified closer to broadcast time in Melbourne (and Tasmania) for that matter.

Carlo is correct. Everyone, not just professional athletes, need to stop using anything and everything as an excuse for poor behaviour. A lot of people argue that what has happened is blown out of proportion because Jordan is famous, which may be true. Having said that, this is exactly why anyone in the public eye needs to be smart about what they are getting involved in and who they are involved with. There are consequences. Like it or not, that’s what it is, end of story.
We can thank the legal system for mental health being a defense and its rise as an excuse for poor decisions in modern day society.
So what if you're offended by what de goey did. I get offended all the time, however I realise that it is my issue that I get offended, not the other person's. We all have some partial self control. No one owes us the favour.

Collingwood don't fall into the trap of responding to media pressure because that is one game you wont win. Stick up for your player publicly and blast him privately if its warranted. Who hasn't stuffed up when going through the immature formative years. Some just stuff up more than others and as long as it doesn't get too serious he hopefully comes out at the end of it a better person. Jordan, if you are reading this, prove to everyone who is criticizing you they are wrong and if you need to party, at the right time party in private and in smaller gatherings because the media will be watching your every move.
So many of us have serious mental health issues; but our actions matter. It's not a valid excuse.

Caroline Wilson and Kane Cornes are a mutual admiration duo and both are full of shit---a young man having fun at a night club with two happy girls that were just as happy to be sharing a good time and they want to jail him because they are not your social types --and even Eddie is frightened of these imbeciles ...he went to Bali with clubs blessing and he does not seem blind drunk...he has been in Collingwood's best players all year....my advice to Jordan is find a club that will have your back and not cave in to the moral arbitrators...
Excellent summation Jim. The reality is that while this is a huge media beat up over nothing, Collingwood's response is even worse. In this instance they should have supported him but they chose to persecute him instead. In so doing, they have more less made his departure at season's end a certainty.

I don't understand, and I know extremely little about mental health so im asking these questions to try &, understand. Firstly, if someone is suffering from mental health issues, how are they playing footy every week, are they okay (mentally) to play footy on the weekend and then it strikes them and affects them before &/or after games. Secondly, if the mental health is causing them to do inappropriate things, whether that's with substances, drink, other people, women etc, given that mental health is such a big issue in society, are other (non AFL) people suffering from mental health problems going around & doing the same things.. there must be people doing these things everywhere, due to how common mental health problems are these days. These are simply questions.

I got diagnosed with ADHD earlier this year at 31. The treatment has been life changing.
People with ADHD are over represented in cases of crime and imprisonment. It’s very complex and does affect people quite negatively. If Jordan Degoey has ADHD it’s a legitimate statement. ADHD is quite misunderstood by a lot of people.

I was diagnosed as a boy.. was on medication until I was 18.. 36 now , not much was known back then about it and I think I was dosed wrong.. but am keen to get some more help as some days I'm just all over the place and struggle to run my business... any help would be appreciated

Seems to be in the family, but it’s something with a negative stigma so they never acted on it. I did a few online tests that marked quite high after my brothers looked into it. A year later and struggling with full time and and doing the bridging courses for an engineering degree, I found myself completely unable to do basic things that other people seem to have no issue with.
I was pretty confident I had it but it was only until I met someone who explained his experience that made me go, no; I’m sorting this out. My partner that said there was nothing wrong with it, and that doctors at work take treatment, aka, it’s normal.
Booked an appointment with my doctor to get a referral, saw the specialist and yeah he said it was quite a strong diagnosis. Took all up about 3 months and $1100.
I was the first one in the family to look into it, now three of my brother have referrals and one sister also. Mum and dad came around after I explained the benefit it provided. It took them a while but I think that negative stigma is going.
I’ve met my sales target every month since i have taken them, I have also had 3 job offers since as well.
It sharpens you up, it’s glasses for the brain.
My colleagues even have made comments - which says something zz

To be honest. If my partner hadn’t said “it’s ok” “there’s nothing wrong with it”, I probably wouldn’t have done it, I would have ‘manned up’ and dealt with it as I always have.
