The AT81 works well in some conditions, but our biggest complaint is just the stiffer feel of the tire overall and that doesn't do well with these Honda's in our experience
hydraulic clutch, motor and chassis updates they put on this 450RX on all models would be welcome, but man these bikes all look sick to me! I really think softer motor mounts would give these Honda's a better feel, thinking about getting the Works Chassis Lab hangers on my '22 CRF 450RL, anyone tried these?
Im currently riding a CRF250F but the power just isnt there, and the 450x is only 10 lbs heavier. Was the 450x a lot harder to handle than the 250RX just weight and power delivery wise? The 250RX and 450X are my upgrade options bc im a 69" 225lb guy that does 50% trails and 50% open cross country but very little crazy racing speeds
The 450X in stock trim is very easy to manage power wise, easier than the RX even since it is very smooth and torquey, but you feel the weight on the 450X (weight can be good or bad depending on your preferences).
I have the 450x and have put the rx cam in it and took all the junk off of it full fmf exhaust on it twisted development ecu I ported and milled the head this bike is not your average 450x anymore and I have road it side by side with a 2023 crf450rx and my bike will smoke it
Honda need to bring back the xr650r!!! I had one but didn't want to buy an aged bike and so I got 2022 Crf450rx instead and it's good but I preferred the XR to be honest these crf's drink some fuel on the road I find by the time I get off road I've chewed the fuel
@@DBAUG availability I guess that was what I could find at the right price it was a spur of the moment purchase, the 450rl model would've been more appropriate or the crf300 as it's service intervals are much higher, it still puts a grin on my face all the same
Very different. The KX is more stable and comforting in rough terrain, whereas the Honda is like a sniper and is good at changing direction and cornering well.
I’d buy that 250…but that tank kills me. It really gives the bike a cumbersome look which is unfortunate considering the MX model is arguably one of the best looking motorcycles out there. I know I know, these are aesthetic complaints…it is a shame though that they also haven’t went to a hydraulic clutch for the 250 either.
I personally love the AT81. not a motocross rider or anything but it grips great I'm the mud, snow, roots, and silt

Nice review! Would love to make the 450x street legal for some longer dirt/paved road mountain trips.
That would be cool!
My is got plates from South Dakota
@@DirtBikeTestcould you say the 450x is the bigger version of the 250f ?
Do you think the 250rx is a good trail bike for tight single trails or just good for open high speed riding?
Yes, it is a solid option for that kind of riding. Check out our "250FX" comparison on all the 2022 250f off-road bikes.

So why did you buy the RX, the X is more suitable for you. In Baja, the X replaced the XR650R...

How does this bike match up to the 2023 KX 450x

Is that a halogen head light. Wtf?
Only a 120 bucks to replace haha
KTMs come with halogen head lights too.
Yea wtf Honda
no 450x in canada

IMS and Red Moto USA do make better looking and functioning tanks for these bikes
