Highly underrated actress. She had screen presence and charisma and you can't learn that you have it or you don't. MS usually takes years to kill you I think she must have had ALS which takes you within 5 years of diagnosis. Very sad she died at such a young age of 59.
Multiple Sclerosis is not fatal; however, she may not have been officially diagnosed until long after living with it. It's common for people not to know they have MS right away. Some people get misdiagnosed, others may not have severe enough symptoms to where they feel they require medical attention, etc. Research and medicine in MS have come a long way, but unfortunately, many of the treatments we have today were not available back then. There was a time, too, when MS was called the 'diagnose and adios disease' because doctors could do very little for patients. Not to mention, multiple sclerosis appears more aggressively in Black people, especially among women, versus their white counterparts. So many factors come into play because MS is not a one-size-fits-all illness, and we probably will never know Tamara's case; perhaps at the time of her diagnosis, Tamara had a more progressive form of it. Notwithstanding, I agree with you that she was highly underrated and had such a presence. I wish there were a documentary on her life or something. But, at least, we still have her on film.
@@VENUS.SE7EN I adored her I got to meet Stella Stevens a few times she and Tamara did 2 movies together Stella said nice things about her and enjoyed working with her. I'd love to see a documentary about her. She was a stunning model before becoming an actress.
@@DA90027 Yes, I know about her being a model before becoming an actress. At 6'2", it served her right. 😍😍 Tamara was a natural onscreen; you can't take your eyes off her. I wish she were still here. 💔 You met Stella?? Amazing! 💚🥰 I am not surprised that she had great things to say about Tamara; I couldn't see her being anything but a joy to be around and work with. The Cleopatra Jones series, if you will, are my favorite films among the Blaxploitation genre with a female lead. Pam Grier is excellent, of course, but Tamara gave her a run and, in my opinion, surpassed her a bit. In any case, I adore Tamara, and I hope that documentary comes to fruition someday.

@@VENUS.SE7EN I love Pam Grier but Tamara had a classier persona as Cleo both were great but apples and oranges.
Stella sadly has Alzheimers now and is in assisted living
Tamara was a beautiful woman. What a presence.
tall beautiful sister rip
Tamara Dobson es una leyenda y su actuación como la duquesa en esta película fue espectacular 👏👏👏
Her walk at the end was crazy, damn.
+akhgrier8798 Yes a very feminine walk far from the strong words spoken in this scene
I just thank GOD for having her in my cinema memory.
Ms Tamara Dobson was a natural beauty
Tamara Dobson was very intimidating in this scene, she would have been perfect as a crime boss in a feature film r.i.p. Tamara Dobson
Why would she have to be a crime boss? No she fought crime bosses!
@@LeolaGlamour This is what she was essentially portraying in this film, but your point is well taken
🎬 TAMARA DOBSON beauty on screen ♠ ☺
