Go with a wider tire in the rear IMO. If you don’t think it will tuck in nicely go to a larger backspacing on the rear wheels. If you have 4.5” backspacing go to a 5.5”.
Hi Nick! I'm old school. We always run 14 inch wheels up front and 15x10 inch wheels in the back. As far as tires for the rear I recommend 295/50/15s. They are 28 inch's high and alot wider then the tires you have on now. Go to a tire store to look at them and I'm sure you will like them and want the on the spot.
Hell yeah man! I have a 76 cutlass s 442, bought it with the factory ralleys with 235s all the way around, swapped to 8" front American racing outlaws and 10" wide rears American outlaws with 225s on front and 275s on rear. If you would of ran 10s on back your tires would of been 11.6 wide and 27.8 tall. Looks good reguardless.
I had welds like that on my 68 camaro with 15x10 rims with the mickey thompson et street radial pro p275/60R15. I ran a mickey thompson 26x10 slick that set the car off to me but loved how big and meaty the 275s looked on it. Cant remeber the back spacing on the rims.
Like them. Wider in the back would look good but not necessary. Good to see you back posting videos. My first car was a 81z28 bought it in 83 got rid of it in early 90s. Should be getting my first Camaro since that car soon. Ordered it in December been sitting in Lansing since it was built in March. Just got word it moved to New Boston hoping it will make its way to Selkirk NY soon
Love the car man, I really do. The fat tires tho- not my cup of tea. To me they are too tall and look out of place for that car. Just my opinion tho- love your content and hope to have one of those myself someday!
Very nice 69 Camaro SS! My personal favorites are the 15 x 8 inch Corvette rally wheels with the 67 "shallow" center cap. Awesome car! Keep up the cool content!
Good to see ya back. Crazy I was lookin to do the same thing woth cars. Had my 6th gen FIFTY. Traded in for 18' silverado. Then wanted a 68 or 69 tubbed camaro. Diff is you kept all yours!! Lol. I miss my camaro so much.
(Only since you asked.) I really dig the current tire size combo. It gives itnthat classic stance. My Pop was running those Weld's on his 65 Elk for many years & I never cared for them. Besides that I am a sucker for the Rally's so if it was my car, I would have left them on. Either way, the car looks great and you should be very proud.
I have always loved the Torque Thrusts or the factory Rallye wheels because I am not a big fan of chrome. My first truck came with a set of Rallye wheels and a set of chrome wheels and I could never get the rust off the chrome for more than a week.
I love rally wheels but they have to be the 15x8 corvette version. Welds always look good on a first gen. I agree, needs wider tires in the rear now. You're only a few good burnouts away from needing them...
I really liked how it turned out. IMO I think maybe getting those wheels in a 17 with some nice tires would be even better but unsure on traction lol but cool classic
I think you should of went with the torq thrust wheels personally, car definitely needs to be lowered front and back , it’s looks like a monster truck , inch in the front inch and half in the back
Nope. Oh well, at least I can be happy for the cool guy that buys the Rallys. HIS car will look good at least. Probably will be someone who bought a hack-job with Welds on it. Man, this was a nice car, too. RIP, to yet another original looking '69 SS Camaro. 😥
Personally I like the factory Rally Wheels, but for aftermarket period looks I would choose a Torque Thrust, or Crager SS... Then if you want a hint of period looks combined with a modern twist they make wheels (I wish I could remember the name) that have a torque thrust vibe, but an amazing modern look in modern low profile sizing.
Every time we tried to squeeze a little more width in the back tires, it would end up rubbing. But did we go back to a smaller tire? No way. We'd just find a rear end that was narrower and make that one fit. And sooner or later.....it would become a race car. lol
like the weld wheels, but the factory ralley's look better
Got street and track. It’s perfect. But yea the ralley’s look good
Yeah stock wheels are fire
I’m with you the rally’s look much better
Please re-install the stock wheels with larger/wider BFG tires.
nah these look better a bit to chrome for my taste but the style is really good
yes wider rears. the welds are the 2nd best wheel for the 69 Camaro. i think the stock rallys that were on it look best.
Go with a wider tire in the rear IMO. If you don’t think it will tuck in nicely go to a larger backspacing on the rear wheels. If you have 4.5” backspacing go to a 5.5”.
I like the original rims better. To each their own though. I love the car.
You deff got the boomer style going on with this one.

Eh... I like the rallys better. You can get them in a nice custom offset too. These may grow on me.
Moved to a new town 2yrs ago. my youtuber guys are still my only friends.. cheers bro.. love it

are we all gonna act like that fridge wasn't stocked with more beer than a local 7-11
I had to rewind just to do a double take to make sure I wasn’t seeing shit
I was impressed with that fridge. I could just imagine asking, 'Have you got a cold beer?', opens the fridge...BOOM!
Nice '69 Camaro! Most definitely run a wider tire on the rear. I'm running some moons on my '68 Imp
The Westy quotes alone 🤣😂 “That’s that first class fitment” 😂
I had welds like that on my 68 camaro with 15x10 rims with the mickey thompson et street radial pro p275/60R15. I ran a mickey thompson 26x10 slick that set the car off to me but loved how big and meaty the 275s looked on it. Cant remeber the back spacing on the rims.
Love the car, but the original wheels look better imho. Cool you got some time off, well deserved!
Love the staggered, raked look!
Like them. Wider in the back would look good but not necessary. Good to see you back posting videos.

DSE mini tub kit & 335's 👍 Can't go wrong with weld wheels, had drag lites in the past myself.
Very nice 69 Camaro SS! My personal favorites are the 15 x 8 inch Corvette rally wheels with the 67 "shallow" center cap. Awesome car! Keep up the cool content!

Like your choice of wheels, those Weld Pro Stars look nice, really change the look of your '69 Camaro.
The new tires look great, I think you are right about the wider tire in the rear. It would look better.
(Only since you asked.) I really dig the current tire size combo. It gives itnthat classic stance. My Pop was running those Weld's on his 65 Elk for many years & I never cared for them. Perfect wheel. Perfect stance. Leave it alone and enjoy.
I have always loved the Torque Thrusts or the factory Rallye wheels because I am not a big fan of chrome. My first truck came with a set of Rallye wheels and a set of chrome wheels and I could never get the rust off the chrome for more than a week.
perfect wheel / tire combo, looks badass
Man those wheels look badass brother.
Caution with the wheels in the winter on the roads after being treated for snow. You can have a lot of staining that requires some heavy polishing.
Looking good keeping the old school muscle look
I’m a little late to watching this. I love the new wheels for the classic camaro. I enjoy watching the videos on this car
I love the new wheel and tire setup! I see what you mean with a 12 wide, but like you said, it definitely looks good now
It looks good 👍🏁 This wheels fits good on that car 🤘Nice ride ❤️
Awesome video Nick really enjoy watching your videos from Australia keep up the great content the wheels look awesome on the 69 camaro.👌👌👌
Nick, I’m a Ford guy but that 69 is beautiful.
Looks good. I like the stock rims but it still Looks nice.
The wheels start at 14:15 your welcome!
Who care's who thinks what looks better, its his car, he can do what ever he wants with it. Personally, I think the welds look damn good!
I love rally wheels but they have to be the 15x8 corvette version. Welds always look good on a first gen. I agree, needs wider tires in the rear now. You're only a few good burnouts away from needing them...
as a fellow camaro lover, i approve of the wheels 👍
Running the same tires on my 92 Silverado
You said something very positive, thank you.
New wheels/tires look awesome. 👍👍
The 69 camaro looks amazig with the new wheels and miss lauren on the channel
I think the final look is awesome!! But a wider back would look more beefy.. but it looks great
I like the Weld wheels, look hardcore, but I'd keep hold of the original steel wheels just because they're the original factory rims.
looks v-nice! Like HP you can't get enough tire on the back!! Go for it!!
Welcome back westy lol hooked on phonics 😂😂 indig the newer wheels looks awesome fits the car perfectly
Inside😎Outside😎Shade😎Sun😎
Nick the new wheels and tires look sick
I think you should go with mickey Thompson S/S 275/50/15 on the rears. It will ride good. Hook hard on less than 400 wheel and has a meatier look.
I didnt catch rim size. If 15x8 or 15x10 my recommendation stands.
Love the new setup on the wheels good job!
How you like that white 6 foot vinyl fence. Virtually maintenance free lol. Just wash and done .good looking back yard 👍
Rookie mistake on owning a classic car. Front wheels should always be slightly smaller Hahahaha live and learn
Angel Yanez why classic cars are badass and fun
Hey Nick. If Jefferson still needs a cone you should check out the comfy cones. It made my dog a lot happier when she had one haha
This is such a nice car!!
looks great man!! I bet that car would be really sick tubbed!!
Run the wider tired in the rear would look great
You could go with 15' rally wheels, 8' in the back 7' in the front.
Exactly
I really liked how it turned out. IMO I think maybe getting those wheels in a 17 with some nice tires would be even better but unsure on traction lol but cool classic
GuitarmageddonZL1 Great Video I think those Weld Pro Stars and Mickey Thompson Sportsman SRs look Awesome on uour 69 Camaro SS
Stay the way it is, looks good
The one person who disliked the Video doesn't own a Classic Muscle Car 🤘 💪
Damn it Nick. You activated my Alexa 😂😂😂
Looks awesome!!!!
I think budnik wheels look really good on 1st gen's
BF Goodrich T/A radials best tires for muscle cars and look good white letter out
Looks awesome man, looks period correct for the car, with ya about a little wider wheel in the back tho...
26's for the front would've been the better fit, i always ran front runners 26x3 1/2, Mickey Thompson used to do 26, Wow times have changed for sure!
Nice car. So what are the final tire sizes in xxx/xx/15 format?
Love the new wheel and tire combo!
I'm curious. Does the wheel feel hot on the back? Thinking of buying the same one for mine here in Sweeden 👌🏼😁
I think you should of went with the torq thrust wheels personally, car definitely needs to be lowered front and back , it’s looks like a monster truck , inch in the front inch and half in the back
Looks great but yeah the rears could be wider
Looks good. Definitely go a little wider in back though for sure. 👍
Love the upgrade and Love Welds
Go get mini tubbed brother and relieve this concern with the width.
Nope.
Oh well, at least I can be happy for the cool guy that buys the Rallys. HIS car will look good at least. Probably will be someone who bought a hack-job with Welds on it.
Man, this was a nice car, too.
RIP, to yet another original looking '69 SS Camaro. 😥
Shut up man it’s his car
Very nice car... maybe someday when I have my Pontiac Ventura done we can get them together...
Wheels look sweet Nick! Well done brother!
A little wider in the back would like nice but it looks great as is.
Have a great wknd. 👍
“Lauren’s gonna model it...in the car.” Nice save there
Looks Mint!!! Love the setup... but I agree a bit Fatter in rear! Love the stance brother...
I like the new wheels! Definitely need the wider tires on the back though.
Looks great wider is better! Hell yeah do it.
Man the 69 is on 🔥
Yes it looks good, thanks for the info.
Wider tires 4 sure. But looks great as is. I would have put a 17 on front tho.
Looks good man. I'd keep the others as well though. The others looked good as well.
Completely understood looks great
Looks great! 🔥🔥
Nick would be a great volunteer fir fighter
Looks really good.
Looks mean man! Love it!
Is the car minitubbed ? I'm hoping to run the same rear set up on my 69
Every time we tried to squeeze a little more width in the back tires, it would end up rubbing. But did we go back to a smaller tire? No way. We'd just find a rear end that was narrower and make that one fit. And sooner or later.....it would become a race car. lol
Inside 😎 Outside 😎 Shade 😎 Sun 😎
I love it my boy nick zl1 and keep up the work and I love the video and I love your car lot and me Chevy gang for life all day real true 👍 🙌 💯💯💯💯💯💯
Sick welds love it
Nice old-school meaty look. Looks like ur running a little bit of camber maybe see how it looks when the rear wheels are sitting straight up and down?
