Really nice setup there. Its all you need to get to the hard to reach places and that's where the relics are. Good luck this year and looking forward to some killer finds...
Great set up, is the whole motor on a pivot to transfer the propeller shaft to the front when needed. How difficult was it to hook the drive shaft up to the motor, did you have to buy a coupling kit or did it come with the shaft? Thanks for sharing...
Yes, the whole motor assembly pivots around which makes it easy to transport. The shaft, mount and prop all came in a kit from a company called Swamp Runner. I bought the 3 HP motor from Home Depot. Simply bolt the shaft kit to the motor, hook up the throttle cables and mount it on the boat.
Wondering how stable this kayak is, what if you flip over and you're motor will be wet, than have you tools to make it? I wouldn't dare to step in your boat but I weight a bit more as you do, convert 200kg to pound=440.9245. As I want to buy a boat, than I need one where the floaters can much wider. A pontoon would be something for me.😋
Yes, what Lynn said. It is much more stable than a regular kayak. If weight is an issue, Wavewalk makes 2 larger models, the 700 and the S4, which have considerably higher weight capacity.
Can't wait to see it in action...is there s way to shorten that drive shaft too give yourself more steering control sorta like a conventional outboard motor ? Just a thought.
You probably could but the reason the shaft is so long is so that the prop can be in the water at a flat angle so that the thrust is going in the right direction. If the shaft is too short, the thrust goes downward instead of straight back.
I got them at WalMart. The one holding the motorboat was modified by sawing off the shorter upright in order to load the boat onto the car. The ones on the passenger side are unmodified and I use them for my regular kayak.
It's a little loud. No way to put electric start on this one that I know of and I've since gotten better at pull-starting it :) Most times I'm in shallow water anyway so getting out to pull start isn't a big deal.
Best Kayak! Upload another video with the SPS mini kit, very interesting!
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Stellar set up!
good job!! very cool little boat.
BEAST MODE!!!! This thing is killer , and cant wait to see the new videos and relics...

Very cool boat!! You might think about getting a long pole, just in case something breaks. You can then pole it like a gondola (and sing Amoree!!) lol
Haha! Well, I have a paddle strapped to the side of the boat so I can paddle when I want or need to.
That's great! Good job!
Wow very cool I could benefit form one of these thanks for sharing. I subscribed!

Hello where you purchase the car rack??

That engine seems to be pretty loud. Electric start would probably be a better alternative especially on water.
