I like how broken snatchers voice is when he mentions his relationship with Vanessa it's almost feels like a very small fragment of himself still wants to love her but can't.

I really hope there's a story to this and this isn't just a game mode only. The game mode looks fun but I really want to see more story.
Me too, I'm not really into online playing for games like these, plus I have the Switch version and knowing Nintendo the online will probably suck, but anyways it looks really interesting

The homebrew channel theme is giving me mega nostalgia, can’t wait for this dlc
i heard the homebrew channel stuff too and realized what it was, i actually never did anything or even knew about wii homebrew until 2020 when my dad got me an sd card with nintendont and a whole bunch of games on it that i found out.
This looks like a great way to capitalize on this game’s absolutely incredible controls.
Considering Online Party was already pure chaos by itself, this is gonna be fun.
I hope Online Party ends up on the Switch port of A Hat in Time

The BGM sounds like the Wii Homebrew Channel Theme as well. Nice as it does look like a GameCube.
Hearing the Homebrew theme and seeing the style once again brings me back. This game is just a perfect kiss to gaming history
I'm so glad that after many years, A Hat In Time is still being talked about, updated, and known. This updating is goddamn awesome, wish I could play.
I always wondered if the Snatcher would ever forgive Vanessa, given he had a soft spot for her during the Manor mission by preventing you from using hats. I suppose this answers that question. But it also raises a new question … how will the score be settled? Cause surely crowns by themselves wouldn’t be enough. There must be something else.
Part of me thinks there will be another part where its gonna come to a head in the form of Snatcher convincing Hat Kid to bitch-slap some sense into Vanessa, possibly in the form of a boss fight, and maybe once she's subdued enough to listen to reason, Snatcher would explain the whole situation of that particular day, while most likely berating her for flipping out so hard. I like to think that one of the things to result is the missions Snatcher gives out from StD (fuck, that looks bad now that I see it. I meant Seal the Deal) will be given different twists courtesy of Vanessa.
Maybe we can get a continuation of empress's score to settle with hat kid. maybe she has hat kid do a couple of jobs for her and maybe empress keeps bow kid as leverage (or vice versa).
I mean, he probably still does have a soft spot for her. Seeing as how it seems like he’s only sending you in there to steal crowns instead of having you attack and/or kill Vanessa
I believe that at the end I saw a cutscene with Human Snatcher, so I thinks the crowns will have milestones that reveal more about their past
Hell no I hope not. Soft spot or not, what Vanessa did isn’t something that can be fixed, ever.
I can't believe how long it took me to realize that 1. The Wii Homebrew Channel music is playing in the background of the beginning part and 2. that the aesthetic of the Creator DLC Channel itself is a reference to The Homebrew Channel

I always wondered why they didn't expand more on Vanessa and Best Boy, and I'm glad they're finally doing it.

Snatcher was once a handsome prince and Vanessa was a beautiful Queen who were in love until one day, Vanessa saw Snatcher with another girl. Devastated, she ran back to her manor, Snatcher wanted to make it up to her but it was too late. Something inside Vanessa snapped and started to change into something.......something cold, empty, and dark, her guards send Snatcher to the dungeon, never to see the light of day and then he dies and the rest you know how Vanessa and Snatcher came to be, two lost souls that can never know love.
@@nisaiahcampbell8390 actually, snatcher wasn't cheating on Vanessa. Vanessa is just crazy and thought he was. The real story is that he was buying Vanessa flowers from the women that sells flowers, Vanessa was always crazy and her craziness got the better of her and she killed snatcher by locking him in the dungeon, all because she misunderstood what she saw.

a multiplayer game like this with hat in time's controls, along with expanding a bit of the snatcher's and vanessa's story this is an amazing addition

Comes out today, an amazing feature for a multiplayer dlc, lucky to those who have it on the pc (switch is still great love it), I can't believe they're still working on this game which surprised me quite alot! Thank you Gears For Breakfast! You guys are AMAZING!

The only thing I'm worried about is if they let other mods be active while playing this DLC, because a lot of mods are game-breaking or would give players an unfair advantage (super speed, infinite jumps, etc.) . Other than that I am super excited for this to come out!
Probably not. Since it would require other plays to download the mod of another player so my guess would be that they would be disabled
@@beenwk4194 Mods work without other players having it installed if it doesn't directly affect other players. It's likely hat and badge mods will be forcefully disabled while playing this mode though.

I was so upset thinking the game is over I’m so happy a new dlc is coming!! I love venessas and the snatches story!!
In the end flashes it shows a 3d model for the prince and a few new storybook pages. Im looking forward to more snatcher lore!

I feel like this should be addressed as soon as possible. This DLC is NOT made by Gears for Breakfast. As far as I'm aware, GfB helps creators in some capacity with these Creator DLC packs, similar to Bethesda's Creation Club; and it's that exact similarity that makes me, and possibly many others, extremely nervous.
We know very little as to the involvement GfB has on these Creator DLC packs (Info on the site seems vague), nor do we know WHAT the prices will be for them, and until we know more, as excited as I am for this, I'd advise everyone to be cautiously optimistic going forward.
Frankly, the core idea of the Creation Club is fine. Genius, even. The issue with the Bethesda version is that each creation is, like, a set of armor for $3. It’s way too little for way too much. This looks to be an actual meaty chunk of content for the same amount you would spend to get, like, a backpack for in Skyrim or Fallout 4. I am all for Gears for Breakfast doing this as long as the creators are being compensated well.

@@sander303 Exactly. Skyrim, $3 gets you, like, the worst looking hammer you’ve ever seen. A Hat in Time, $3 gets you a new world with an online multiplayer mode and new lore with great voice acting. Night and day difference.

I actually imagine Hat Kid using one of her time pieces to travel to the past along with queen Vanessa to show her the past of what really happened on that day and when they returned to the present queen Vanessa apologized and asked forgiveness from the Snatcher and they made up.
I also imagine they will both have a combination of both their ghost and human form
Is it wrong for me to hope that in the sequel (IF one ever happens), Snatcher and Vanessa end up reconciling and become a happy, loving couple again?

Judging by Vanessa's voice lines and what she turned into,it is safe to assume that them reconciling wont ever be possible, especially since snatcher basically has no love left in what little heart he has for her seeing as the whole dlc is snatcher wanting to steal crowns and make Vanessa mad
@@-Spectator- Snatcher probably still likes Vanessa, he doesn't let you use any hats in her manor. Which i dont think he'd do if he doesn't like her.
Vanessa didn't let Snatcher have freaking BACON just because he loved it. She wanted all his love focused on her. That's not exactly a sign of a healthy relationship. Not to mention the fact that the second she sees Snatcher holding flowers and talking to a girl, she immediately jumps to conclusions and assumes he's cheating on her instead of taking notice of the flower shop next to the girl. And then when Snatcher tries to explain she doesn't even listen to him and tosses him in the dungeon to die. For someone who supposedly loved Snatcher, that is a very toxic, very abusive relationship and Snatcher is more than justified in being mad at her.

I beat this game on a severely underpowered 2016 ROG laptop that would turn off randomly at any point while I was playing the game. Still beat this, the best non nintendo 3d platformer ever made. Hold your heads high gears for breakfast!
It would be nice to see a DLC where they actually add a new location to the world of A hat in tine where he's totally taken over by Vanessa's curse, and the goal would be to end her by defeating her in a 2-stage boss battle

@@aspectofthecat9781 If it were _just_ the DLC, I would not advise you do that.
However, the amount of _quality_ mods is quite staggering, and that IS worth it.
An example! Without mods, the base game has something around 136 Death Wish stamps to collect. With them? We're currently up to 963 Stamps, only 6 of which are currently broken (i.e. don't work)!
Now bear in mind that not every good mod has anything to do with Death Wish...

1:04 Moonjumper had something to do with this. Because he and Vanessa were close friends when she was young. And not wanting Vanessa to leave when she got older, Moonjumper took Vanessa's soul to keep her with him during that devistating misunderstanding.

There will be a Swimsuit for hat kid which has to be brought from a Friendly Axolotol. Which is from the beautiful Isle De Axolot. The world you get in the dlc.

Considering the Moon King as name implies was originally going to be Vanessa's King and got scrapped to instead have Snatcher. I doubt we will see him ever used again.

THIS IS AMAZING. I'm so happy to finally see more with Vanessa and multiplayer mode that isn't just doing the same level at the same time. It's About Time. This combined with the new Character Creation mod that allows mix and matching mod and in-game costumes just took this game to the next level.

This would have been great a month earlier but still am REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!!
I don’t work or speak for gears for breakfast but what I think there trying to do with A Hat In Time is that there is little story left to unfold in a dlc or a new game so there doing small dlcs that will not affect the story with Lore or anything but add popular ideas for the future of A Hat In Time. Like my idea for the dlc Vanessa’s Curse is a update to it that makes it a option to make it like when Vanessa see’s you in the main game where there’s a red tint that can be on the side of the screen that could get brighter and louder with the music, that’s my idea but my personal thoughts is that A Hat In Time is a game that should not dropped and it’s lifespan should be for like five more years of dlc is the most realistic option they can do.
