The bible makes it clear that the festivals and the Sabbath are for EVERYONE. The sabbat is the 4th commandment and the bible makes it clear it's Saturday not Sunday.
I mean it's both, but you can be either. Though some sects require it be on your mother's side so for some it is ethnic.

There is traditionally an ethnic part to Judaism and it has never been evangelical in nature, though in the OT moloch worshippers converted all the time (as long as they forsook their old gods). She is not suggesting negativity or unpleasantness. If she wants to convert? ?

I never understood why you can only be Jewish if your mother is Jewish. I mean, I understand the underlying thought but it always seemed a little racist to me. If Judaism is a religion, I should be able to become a Jew. I love Jezus, I know the bible, I can learn Hebrew and the Thora. But I don't think it would be allowed unless I was going to be married to a Jewish man.
It's not only a religion. "The chosen people", the hebrews, is indeed an etnicity.

Because that's what the Torah says. We don't make the rules. Mother determines Jewishness, father determines tribal affiliation.
I have never looked at judaism as a race, but being Jewish is definitely an ethnicity, and/or many ethnicities Jewish tribes within. Not all that practice Judaism is necessarily Jewish, and not all Jewish are religious, many atheists. From what I understand it’s in the hereditary line of Abraham, although that was long ago. They are definitely a people that have been railed against throughout hundreds of years as a ethnic people, not necessarily a religious people.
On the religious side, however (this topic is incredibly nuanced) it is problematic that they believe they are God’s chosen people. I’m not sure if god is real but I do believe that the Jews are kinda special.
