Follow up on Ellen Wille Gilda Mono- short, low density wig, can you see the wefting in the back????

- Sorry that the angle wasn't very good, but if you look closely there are a few spots where you CAN see the wefting when the wind is blowing on the back. It was enough for me to draw the conclusion that this might not be the best wig for wearing outside on a windy day.... this would be true for ANY short wig that has super short layers, low density, and no permatease so please make note if you are a short wig wearer!

○ Circumference= 22" (average)
○ Front of Hairline to nape of neck (over top of head)= 12.75" (average is 14.25")
○ Ear to ear over top of head= 13" (average is 13.5)
○ Temple to temple around back of head= 14.25
○ Hairline to eyebrow= 2.5"
○ Hairline to tip of nose= 4.75"
○ Hairline to bottom of chin= 8"
○ Neck= 4"

I ordered (and returned) two Gildas. Dark Grey Mix and Ice Blonde Shaded. You could clearly see the back wefting and tag, even in zero wind indoors. I thought maybe it was only in certain colors, but apparently not. I love my Ellen Wille wigs but this one is a hard no from me.

You see? This is why we all love you so much! Such a real “experiment,” done to help US, and not to knock the style or manufacturer. Yes, the wefting was seen even in the gentle breeze of the fan. And yet, you reasoned it out for us, saying it’s still such a cute wig-and great on you, too!-so don’t disregard it if you won’t be in a breeze or outside in wind. oh my gosh. How many of us never look at the back....me! My mom told me once she saw wefting on a Raquel Welch basic cap once. UGH.
I could see the wefting it's vital to know in ALL wigs to me anyway so this is one of the most helpful videos you've made thanks so much Denise your a gem 💖
That's a bit of a shocker! I've got a Noriko Sky and a Reese and hope this doesn't happen.
Good follow up. We get a strong breeze here almost every day and that does impact my decisions on what to wear. Or what not to purchase.
Oh my goodness I’m going to have to check all my wigs now, this has freaked me out!! I’ve truly not given it any thought, only looked at the top of my wigs to check for wefts showing. It’s often VERY windy here.

Yes, I saw wafting when you ruffled it, but not with the fan blowing on it.

Thanks Denise for this information, I have two flip mono (it looks a lot this gilda mono's wig), one in pearlblonde rooted and I wear it since 7 months now, I never thought to see the back... I am scared to take a look now :(

Everyone knows I wear wigs so no-one's really going to care one jot if a few wefts show now and then in a high wind. Everyone's hair looks a mess in those conditions anyway! Its all about how sensitive you are about these things.
I love this!!! I agree... I don't think I would worry too much about it personally but I know some people are SUPER sensitive to it which is why I felt obligated to make this follow-up after I became aware that the wefting might show. I'd be devastated if I learned someone was embarrassed after purchasing a wig I reviewed and I could have helped prevent itl.
Can you tell me what the measurement is from temple to temple?
